Fashionable Flats and Low-Heel Shoes to Wear Now
I’ve had several emails recently asking me to highlight some cute flats and shoes with low heels. I get it. My sister has not been able to wear high heels for years, and she is always lamenting the fact that she can’t find good-looking shoes. And, when I had a case of plantar fasciitis flare-up, I went on the search for fashionable flat shoes. So, I’ve put together a list of fashionable flats and low-heel shoes that you can wear now, and a few that will work into the fall! PS: Make sure you scroll all the way to the end because that’s where you’ll find my favorite shoe!
I’m starting with these pretty metallic pumps that would be perfect for a dressier event like a wedding. These are Naturalizer which are known for making comfortable shoes. These have a one-inch heel and a curved slingback strap. If silver isn’t your style, they come in several other colors including gold.
I love pointy-toe dress shoes, and this slingback is gorgeous! This is an incredibly nice shoe that looks and feels very luxurious, and it is under $40!
I did not realize at first that these are TOM’S! I’m a fan of the brand, but they are usually a little more utilitarian. I love the patterned heel which gives some spark to this classic flat. They would look so chic with a nice pair of dark-wash jeans.
The suede leather Cognac flat is perfect for this fall, but you can also wear it now. This is a gorgeous, rich looking flat, and I can’t wait to style it with jeans or a dress.
I ordered my usual size 9, and they fit great. However, if you are between sizes, then I would suggest sizing up a .5 size.
This is a very basic, wear-it-anytime-and-anywhere-flat. They are made by Dr. Scholl, another great shoe brand known for comfortable shoes. The gold chain accent across the top is a nice detail, and these look great in both black and tan options.
I like mules and D’Orsay flats, but loafers are something I rarely wear. I decided to try this camel loafer, and I can’t believe that I actually like them!
I love a pointy-toe, and the color is a great neutral, so these will be staying in my closet. This is a pair that you can wear now and later since they are so versatile. I sized up to a 9.5, but I think my regular 9 would have fit also.
Since this is the second of several d’Orsay flats, I thought I’d give you a little background. They are actually named after Count Alfred d”Orsay. Don’t ask me why, lol. Apparently, he wore shoes with a prominent deep side cutout to accommodate his wide feet! Whatever the reason, the d’Orsay is a nice, sexy flat.
I love a D’Orsay Flat, but I never wear black shoes. I think it is because I had a cousin who used to tease me about having big feet, and black draws attention to them. But, I’m trying to get over that phobia, especially when wearing jeans.
These are a 9.5, but I think the 9 would have fit also.
You can’t go wrong with a pretty, pointed-toe flat like this Naturalizer option. These are leather, with a nice, cushioned insole, and they come in narrow, medium, and wide! I like the gold detail on the heel, and they’re available in tan, peach/pink, and black.
How fabulous are these gold slippers from Bruno Magli?! Wearing flats doesn’t mean you have to be boring! But I understand if you think you wouldn’t wear these enough to justify the cost. Don’t worry. They have them in black, too!
I love how the buckle really shows up against the black. Which is your favorite? Black or gold?
7or9 Black Heels for Women Classic Pointed Toe Low Chunky Heels Pump
Sometimes a Gurl needs a tiny bit of heel! These are 100% leather and just so elegant. You’ve heard of the little black dress, and these are the perfect little black pump. They are actually available in a variety of heel heights so be sure when ordering that you get exactly what you want.
Obtaom Women’s Pointy Toe Loafer Flat Comfortable Faux Suede Work Shoes
I have to include at least one loafer in this list! These are so inexpensive – under $25 dollars and they have a great rating on Amazon. I love a good white shoe to wear during summer, but of course, they have a lot of different colors. Including the fun animal print below!
I’m loving Chocolate Brown this year (a trending color for fall), and I thought these faux suede loafers would be a great way to join in the trend without spending a lot of money. These shoes are only $21, so if I get one season out of them, I’ll be happy.
Govdaeor Women’s Chunky Block Heel Pumps Pointed Toe Slingback d’Orsay Ankle Buckle Casual Slip-On
My final d’Orsay shoe! I’ve included this because I like the chunky heel, the strap, and the chocolate brown color. The price, under $50 dollars, doesn’t hurt either! This would be a great fall shoe, for anything from jeans to plaid pants.
VenusCelia Women’s Tile-Toe Flat Shoe
Here’s another metallic option, similar to the Bruno Magli shoes above. They’re both flats, and metallic gold, but these are about a tenth of the cost! There are 26 options of this shoe – different colors, materials, and flourishes.
Oh, my!!! I love these mules! They fit and feel amazing. The black chain with the Kurt Geiger signature crystal-eyed eagle head gives these shoes a look of luxury. The quilted leather is soft and cushy, and these shoes are a pair that you can wear now and later.
I have to admit, these are my favorite, and as soon as I opened the box, I put them on since I was heading out the door. I bet you’ll be seeing these a lot in the future.

Great selection Tania! Too funny, I was always told when young that black shoes would make my feet look smaller!! The same as they told us about black pants!!
Love this post. Have been on a search for low heeled shoes for an event that we have coming up. I can’t wear “flat” shoes or “high” heels. I have a pair of Journee Brynn Flats from Macy’s on order. But I love your suggestions as well. Will check them out! Thanks!
I am so glad that you enjoyed this post! ❤️
Some great options here!
i love flats-also love chocolate brown!!
I am also a fan of low-heeled shoes so thank you for showcasing these styles. And I also used baby oil and iodine in my younger years when sunbathing. What were we thinking? Ugh
We were thinking about how cute we would look with a tan, LOL! 🙂
Have you ever tried Born shoes? I’ve been looking at that brand for flats as well. Great post!
Yes, Born shoes are really comfortable.
I am so happy you posted these. I’ve been looking for flats! This helps
I am glad that you liked this post! Thank you for commenting. ❤️
I just love seeing all the different low heeled shoes, but as as a women nearing 70 I find I cannot wear the pointy toes anymore….probably from wearing too many pointy heels back in the day! Would love to see some chic every day shoes that go with skirts, joggers, dresses and more. Thanks for great info.
I will see what I can find! Thanks for commenting.
I agree. Pointy shoes just don’t seem to work anymore for me, either. But they are flattering and I envy the gals that can still do it! My best friend is 80 and still wears pointy shoes and tall heels. Crazy, right?
Thanks for the post. Great looking shoes to give many options to outfits with the weather changes.
Great list of wearable shoes. I am finding that each year my collection of heels shrinks, and collection of flats grows. Thanks for the inspiration, have a blessed week.
Thanks. I hope you have a blessed week, too! ❤️
