Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a hot pink duster cardigan with a white v-neck t-shirt, and navy lounge pants Can you believe that Memorial Day is just a few days away? Where the heck did May go? It seemed like April was the longest month ever, but I blinked my eyes and May has flown by. It could have been because my birthday was in the middle of May and I had been concentrating on that, but I can’t believe that it is going to be June before you even know it. Usually, I am posting red, white, and blue outfits, but this year the holiday slipped up on me.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a hot pink duster cardigan with a white v-neck t-shirt, vintage jewelry, and navy lounge pants Yesterday, I had a photo shoot and the photographer mentioned that several of their friends were going camping. We never have a party for Memorial Day, but I wondered how everyone was handling the holiday this year. Are you having a cookout or a party, and just trying to social distance as best as you can? Or, are you still on lockdown mode, and just cooking out for your immediate family? It is still so surreal to me right now and it is hard to imagine going anywhere populated. Joe and I have been talking about going to the beach in July, taking our food with us and cooking there. I don’t get within 6 feet of strangers on the beach, but riding in elevators might be an issue. I am glad that our condo is on the first floor, so we can walk one flight of stairs to go to the beach without a problem. Whew! the things that we have to consider these days!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a hot pink duster cardigan with a white v-neck t-shirt I wanted to show you how my loungewear/everyday look could become an outfit for going to a get-together. The other day on my birthday, I had an inkling that I might have a few guests come by to celebrate. So, I wanted to look nice, but not like I was going out to a fancy restaurant. I love wearing pink, and it goes great with my skin tone, so I wanted to wear something that would brighten my face and help me look years younger than my 60 years.

This hot pink duster (HERE) from Walmart was just the item that I was looking for. I wore this sweater (HERE) with distressed jeans, but that day was a loungewear kind of day. The sweater instantly perked up an otherwise drab outfit and made me feel like celebrating. I am wearing a medium in this long duster, but I noticed that the sizes are almost sold out in pink. The blue and the white would also be great options and open up lots of different ways for you to wear the sweater.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a hot pink duster cardigan, gold hoop earrings, and a vintage necklace I pulled out some of my vintage jewelry to wear with the look. I wanted to wear something that was older than I was. LOL! This was stamped JAPAN on the clasp, so it is an old piece. But, look how nice it looked with my new Lilly Pulitzer hoop earrings (HERE) and the Fallyn bracelet (HERE) from Kendra Scott. I like mixing high-end clothing and more affordable clothing, and I also like mixing vintage and new jewelry together. You don’t have to wear only one way or the other.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a white v-neck t-shirt, and navy lounge pants A white v-neck t-shirt is something that I find myself wearing during my downtime days. I like it is versatile and can be worn casually as well as with a blazer or cardigan like today. This is what I wore all day while I was cleaning and picking up around the house, and then I added the cardigan and the jewelry when it got later in the afternoon. The t-shirt is one that I bought from Target back in the winter, and it is really nice for the price point. (HERE) is the link to the shirt and I am wearing a large.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a white t-shirt, and navy lounge pants I love these crinkle knit wide-leg pants by Anybody. This is the first time that I have ever ordered anything from this brand, but I have been impressed with the items that I got. These pants are so lightweight and flowy, not to mention cozy and comfortable. The fact that these pants have pockets is a huge plus to me. I am wearing a size medium in these pants, and you can see that they are plenty roomy. I already have plans to wear these as a bathing suit cover-up this summer! Here is the link to these pants, and they are under 30.00!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a hot pink cardigan with a white v-neck t-shirt, and navy lounge pants I wore my navy espadrilles (HERE) when I wanted to look dressier, and I wore my new slip-on-sneakers (HERE) when I wanted to be casual. Make your purchases work for you, and think outside the box for different ways that you can wear them.

Like the casual outfit today. The pink Duster and the pink necklace you put with it. I don’t usually wear wide leg pants that I might very well buy these. Even being short I could see myself in this outfit.

I saw they were very limited in the pink, but I think the white and navy would also be great for summer.

I live in Texas. It gets too hot to wear any kind of jacket. Also does not help that I am hot natured. Any suggestions to look a little dressy very casual without any kind of jacket?

    You look great in pink.

Kathy, it is harder when you live in such a hot climate. The sweater that I have on today is very very thin and sheer. Maybe something like that would help.
