DO YOU WANT TO SEE MY LATEST CLOTHING ORDER - 50 IS NOT OLD

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on sessionDoes your bed look like this? This is my spare bedroom, and this is where all of the clothes that I have ordered go to wait on me getting to take photos with them. Sometimes by the time that I get things ordered, shipped, photos taken, and then put on the blog, items will have already sold out. So, I thought that I would take a couple of pictures of my things that I got in (not styled) so that you could at least have the opportunity to see them before they are already sold out.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with the latest stylesIt doesn’t stop with the bed…it overflows onto two of my chairs also. Lol!!!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a gray Fairisle sweater Those of you who follow me on Instagram and watch my Insta stories will have already seen this sweater. And, if you saw the story, then you got a good laugh at me showing you how to use the “groundhogs in the sack” method for getting a tight sweater to fit. LOL! This Fairisle sweater is from the Loft Outlet, and it is a soft knit. The white design of the sweater is fuzzy and furry, but the sweater itself is not. This is a dressier sweater instead of a bulky sweater. So, it is made to sit close to your body for a fitted look. I am wearing a medium, which is my usual size when I order for the Loft and the Loft Outlet. Anyone going on a ski vacation? This would be the sweater for you. Here is the link, and it is on sale under 20.00!!!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with an ivory waffle knit sweaterThis sweater is from The Loft, and it is a casual style sweater. This is a thick waffle knit sweater, and it is very, very soft. It is made roomier than the Fairisle sweater, but it isn’t boxy like some. It also has a hoodie, although I doubt that I would ever pull the hoodie up. Lol!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a waffle knit sweater in ivoryOnce again, I am wearing a medium since that seems to be the size that fits me best from the Loft. This is machine washable, and it would look great with jeans. This is the type of sweater that you will find yourself reaching for all the time because it would be great for wearing around the house or when you have to run errands. Here is the link to the sweater. BTW, if you wonder what I am doing, I have my phone on a tripod, and I just discovered that I had a remote control that I could use to take my pictures. LOL! It doesn’t take much to amuse me.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session of a gold sweaterFirst off, let me tell you that the photos can’t do this sweater justice. I tried and tried to get a picture that would show you the metallic gold thread that runs through this entire sweater, but I couldn’t get it to show. I promise this is much more than a beige/neutral sweater. It has a little extra sparkle that is unique, but too shiny.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a gold sweater with a metallic threadI love the neutral color and the fact that this can be worn with anything. It looks great with my black leggings, and it would look equally good with jeans, navy pants, the plaid pants that I wore yesterday, gray, maroon, and on and on. Because it does have that small metallic thread, it looks cuter than an ordinary sweater. I am wearing a medium; I guess you figured that out by now. LOL! This is also from The Loft, and here is the link.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a red sweaterI bet this sweater gets your attention. Don’t you love the color of this sweater? And, look at that neckline!!! I love the deep v-neck, and how it is trimmed with the lace. This is a fine gauge knit sweater, much dressier than the others that I tried on earlier. This sweater would be perfect to be worn with nice slacks and skirts, but you could also wear them with jeans.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows the back of a red sweaterThe sweater looks as beautiful, leaving as it did coming. It featured a double v-neck, so you get the same effect coming and going. I think this sweater would be beautiful for Valentine’s Day; the lace makes it look romantic looking. I am wearing a medium, and this sweater is from the Loft outlet. Don’t worry though, just because it looks dressy, doesn’t mean that you have to dry clean this baby. The sweater is machine washable, so you don’t have to worry. This comes in black also, and here is the link to the sweater.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows the black sequins on a black sweaterThis is one of those sweaters where you are going to say, “shut the front door!” In case you don’t know what that means, it just means that you are going to be shocked at what I am going to be telling you. This beautiful dressy black sweater has sequined embellishments at the top in the same black color. I love the effect of wearing the cardigan buttoned all the way to the top; I think it looks very classy and elegant worn this way. I can see wearing this to Christmas parties or even a New Year’s Eve party.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a black cardigan sweaterYou can see that the black on black look is beautiful and elegant and well as slimming. This is a thinner sweater, so you would probably want to wear Spanx or a camisole under the sweater. This is from the Loft Outlet, and I am wearing a medium. The sweater is machine washable…and it is under 20.00!!! I told you…SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! Here is the link.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a gray cashmere v-neck sweaterI am switching from the Loft and the Loft Outlet, and showing you a cashmere sweater from Nordstrom. This is a beautiful gray heathered color. The website said that this sweater ran small, so I ordered a large, but I think that a medium would have worked also. This is a 100% cashmere, and this would have to be dry cleaned. I like the deep v-neck on this sweater because it would make it easy to wear the sweater over a button-up shirt. I think it would look great with a plaid shirt, a chambray shirt, or even a blouse with a bow.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows you the side view of a gray sweaterI wanted to show you how long it was in the back, so you can see that your tush is covered. This sweater comes in a bunch of different colors, and I ordered it in a beautiful purple also.Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a gorgeous bright purple cashmere sweater I love the bright purple color; it makes me smile! These are on sale for 33% off, so grab your sweater while they are on sale. I always try to buy my luxury items when they are discounted because I didn’t fall off of a turnip truck yesterday. Here is the link to the sweaters, and all of the other colors.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session wears a deep plum cardiganBecause I had on the gray cashmere sweater, I took the opportunity to show you this shawl cardigan from the Loft Outlet. This is a pretty deep violet color, and I love the style of this sweater.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session with a deep violet shawl cardiganThis doesn’t do the sweater justice; this is one time that you need to look at the model on the website because she has it styled in the way that I had envisioned me wearing it also. The jacket is flattering with the cocoon wrap around hemline and the large lapels. Just take my word for it; look at the model. Lol! Here is the link to the cardigan.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows a mustard necklaceI also got in a bunch of jewelry, so I thought that I would go ahead and show you the items that came in. Some are from Plunder, some from Tory Burch, some from Kendra Scott, and another bracelet from the Style Collective. The items from Plunder are all from the new Fall Collection. I finally got around to ordering the things that I liked, I wasn’t too thrilled with the Summer items, so I didn’t order as many of them. This is a pretty piece that looks heavy, but it isn’t. I thought it was a stone piece, but it is made from acrylic, so it is very lightweight. It is called the Annalyse, and it is a mustard yellow color.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows a snakeskin print metal earringThe metal earrings I love! These have a snakeskin print that is a mixture of grays, blacks, browns, and golds. They are 2.25″ long and very lightweight. They are called the Sutton.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows a large spotted heart earringThese earrings are different. They are a large heart shape with a spotted print, almost like a leopard print. I didn’t know if I would like these earrings, but they are kind of cool since they are so unique. They are called the Davis, and they have a 2.5″ drop.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows a leopard print stud earringThe Tiff earrings are a leopard print. These are a 1″ stud, and they are a material weave. Very lovely, understated, yet noticeable.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows a leopard print necklaceThe Jaylee is a show stopper! It has large leopard print ovals on a bronze chain with crystals in between each oval. This is the perfect length to fit in the void of a v-neck sweater, and it is adjustable from 19.5″ to 22.5″.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session shows an up close view of a leopard print necklaceHere is a close up of the necklace for you.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session show a pair of raffia leopard print earringsI promise this is the last leopard print item that I am going to show you today. These are called the Hansen, and they are a gorgeous pair of earrings. I honestly think that I will wear these more in the Spring and Summer, but I wanted to purchase them now in case they discontinue them once the new catalog comes out in the spring.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session and looks thrilled with the leopard print raffia earringsThese are too cute, and I wanted you to have a good idea of how large they looked while being worn. They have a 3″ drop, so they are longer and bigger around than the others that I have shown you.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session and shows 3 silver braceletsThese are the three bracelets that I bought from the Styled Collective. These are dups of the David Yurman bracelets, but a tiny fraction of the cost. They are pretty heavy, but since I don’t own any real David Yurman bracelets, I can’t give you a good comparison.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session and shows an up close photo of silver braceletsI have from left to right, the Brinkley with the clear crystal, the Logan with the large pearl, and the Chariot with the moonstone looking center and scrollwork head.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session and shows a large silver hoop earring from Kendra ScottIf I hadn’t seen these earrings in person, I would never have considered buying them. I saw these when I went on my blogging conference, and I loved how they stood out without being flashy. They are classy and a beautiful heavy piece of jewelry. I don’t mean heavy as in they are heavy on my ears. I mean heavy as in they aren’t going to bend and break easily. These are called the Avi, and they are large and feature a twist design.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session and show a gold drop earring from Kendra ScottThese elegant looking earrings are called the Sophee, and they are also from Kendra Scott. I wanted a nice large pair of earrings, one is silver and one in gold, so I bought these for when I am traveling, and I don’t want to take a tone of earrings. I’ll pack these two earrings, and they will work for almost everything.Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old holds a try on session and shows a tiny Tory Burch earring This is the last photo, so enjoy it. I am wearing a small stud earring from Tory Burch. I bet most of you are familiar with the Iconic “T’s” which is the logo for Tory Burch, and these are perfect for those who don’t like large earrings. These might get lost in all of my hair, but if your hair is shorter, or if you wear it in an updo, then these would be perfect for you. Here is the link to the earrings.

WHEW! Are you as tired as I am? That was a lot of photos for you to scroll through. So, I need to know, is this something that you would like to see every couple of weeks? I’ll still be stying the items later with jewelry, pants, cardigan, scarves, etc., this is just a photo of me trying them on to see if they fit. I still have several pairs of pants and shoes that I need to try on, so let me know if you like the “try on” sessions, and I might make them a feature of the blog.

Yes, I’d definitely like to see this type of “fashion show” more often. You are an expert at ordering online…I usually have to return more than half b/c of wrong sizes or styles. I loved everything you wore today…many thanks.

    • Tania Reply

Yay!!! I am glad that you enjoyed the session. If I have to try them on anyway, I might as well take a photo. Lol!

  2. Yes. This was fun. Love the grey cashmere sweater. By the way, your skin looks fantastic!

    • Tania Reply

I love the purple cashmere one. It is a gorgeous color! Thanks for the skin comment, you know I love my skincare. ❤️️

    • Tania Reply

I love that one too. It can be worn with so many things since it is a beautiful neutral.

  3. Aimee Spencer Reply

Yes I loved this home try on session. Everything looked so good on you. I like the jewelry you have been styling with the sweaters and have recently tried the long pearl necklace with gray sweater. Never thought of pearls in winter but it works!

    • Tania Reply

Aimee, I wear pearls at any time of the year. I am glad that you liked the try on haul. I guess it looks like it will be a keeper.

  4. Good Morning.☕️ I love this fashion show.?. I loved them all on you. You are absolutely beautiful!?

    • Tania Reply

Gina, I am glad that you liked the “show.” If you saw my videos on Insta stories, then you really got a show. Hahaha

    • Leslie Rushing Reply

Appreciated the show today! With limited budget, I get ideas of how to restyle what I already have! But what I enjoyed most today where is your book shelf of purses! I see a Collins on the top shelf!

      • Tania Reply

You have an eagle eye, Leslie. I have a couple of Enid Collins bags, and I do keep those up high on the bookshelf.

  5. Laura Lambdin Reply

Well that was super fun! My fav is the metallic gold sweater ?

    • Tania Reply

A lot of ladies seemed to like that one. I was afraid that it wouldn’t show up well in a photo.

  6. My spare room also looks like this. When my Mom would shop with me and my sisters, we would come home (to ONE of our houses) and use the spare room for the “laying out”. All of us would have to review our loot, and renew our excitement again. Such fun! I miss those days. My favorite today is the Fair Isle. Definitely shopping at The Loft today.

    • Tania Reply

I love that memory, Linnie! It is funny how such little memories can mean so much.

  7. What size are you wearing in the purple cardigan from Loft Outlet? I love the try on posts.

    • Tania Reply

Kelly, I am wearing a medium in everything except the two cashmere sweaters, and I ordered a large in those.

  8. What I want to know is where you put all the clothes? My closet is too full and I don’t shop that much. How do you clean out for more? Do you sell some or keep them all? Enjoyed seeing them all. I have bought some of the things you find. Thanks for shopping for me!

    • Tania Reply

Leslie, my closets are brimming too. I can’t keep everything, there just isn’t enough room in my house. So, I try everything on, take photos, and send back what I don’t think that I will wear over and over again. I keep only the things that I love.

      • I also keep only the things that I love. If I don’t absolutely love it, it goes back or to someone else that might need it. I keep a very light load.

    • Tania Reply

Thanks, Debbie! I have been toying with the idea for a while, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and go for it.

  9. love the show! super fun to “shop” with you. I like it better when you try on and not me!

    • Tania Reply

Hahaha! Trying on clothing is not my favorite thing to do either. Especially on days when nothing is fitting correctly. Lol!

    • Tania Reply

Jill, that is why I only asked for firewood. Lol! I don’t need anything else.

    • Tania Reply

I have been thinking about doing these sessions for a while, I am glad that you liked it.

  10. Yes!! Love the ‘try on sessions’. I think you should do this whenever you get your ‘boat load from China’ in! Haha! That was a lot of stuff to try on at once and you were magnificent!! Great pieces you have there and can’t wait to see how you style them!

    • Tania Reply

Whew! It was a lot of things!!! The sun wasn’t out, so the lighting wasn’t great. I am glad that everyone seemed to like the session.

  11. That was so much fun, thank you for sharing that with us. What slacks were you wearing in those photo’s? I noticed in one of the photo’s the purse bookcase, what a great idea, just love it!

    • Tania Reply

I am wearing a pair of leggings from Duluth Trading Company. I have so many purses, that I finally decided to start using the bookshelf as my purse closet. Lol!

  12. Tammy GRavis Reply

I love Plunder jewelry and adding some of these things to my “wish Iist.” I keep a few things on it and when each month buy one or so. I can’t afford a lot so this is great! Love the try on’s.

    • Tania Reply

I like buying earrings because they make a statement, but they cost the least.

  13. My favorite was the red sweater. I loved the V style in the front and back and that red looks fabulous on you! I also liked the black sweater with the sequins. How gorgeous it would be paired with jeans for a casual look or a black or charcoal gray skirt. Loved your “fashion show”.

    • Tania Reply

Amy, I really liked both of those options also. I think that I will be keeping both of those.

  14. I agree with the others. I really enjoyed this type of fashion show!

    • Yay Me Too x 8. This was fun. Usually bloggers look so perfect and now we know “you’re just like us”!!! I do love the metallic sweater a lot. Oh, and all the pictures worked.

  15. I love posts like this….so fun and so many items to look at. My favorites are the Loft hooded sweater and those Kendra Scott drop earrings and they come in four finishes! Beautiful!

    • Tania Reply

I love both of the earrings from Kendra Scott, and you can get both of them in different finishes. Those hoops are huge and very showy!

  16. I loved the fashion show! I also couldn’t help but notice all your handbags in the shelf behind you……..

    • Tania Reply

Yeah, I might have a few handbags lying around. Lol! Most of those are vintage bags, but I have some of my others mixed in with them also.

  17. Colleen Freedman Reply

I loved your fashion show today too. I have to say, I do miss your tidbits in regards to Rodan and Fields and I also enjoyed hearing what specials you were running. I am waiting for my first order and so anxious to get started on the routine! My wedding is May 2nd so I am trying to get my skin as nice as I can at 57 LOL

    • Tania Reply

Colleen, I haven’t quit sharing about R+F. But, I am not sharing as often because I don’t want people to think that I am only sharing because I am selling it. I share because it works, I love it, and I want to let others know about it. I am excited for you to get your first order!! Also, congrats on the wedding!

  18. Deborah Bradley Reply

I wanted to say hello from sunny upstate NY – NOT!! I don’t usually comment but do follow you. I love all your pics today especially the waffle sweater with the hoodie. Super cute! And my spare bedroom looks much worst – full of clothes & xmas presents. I actually have the same comforter. LOL! Your haircut is adorable & I love your upbeat positive attitude.

  19. Carla Parham Reply

Yes I did enjoy this post. And the way you write, it was like I was sitting there with you. So absolutely do this again, And I was really loving your hair with the flip. I hope you have a great day and I will see you again tomorrow. 🙂

  20. I did like this post a lot. It really gives you an idea of the style of the clothes – I definitely am going on the LOFT this weekend, with the discounts it might just cover the shipping and duty to Canada. I LOVE those snakeskin earrings and also the heart shaped leopard ones. It would be great if you did these again – love that you found the remote for the camera! LOL!

  21. Absolutely loved your post today. The clothes and jewelry were all wonderful.
I love your haircut. Your hair always looks great.

  22. Nancy DeVoe Reply

Whenever I browse the Loft website nothing really jumps out at me. However, all the clothes that you have photographed from the Loft I really love! You wear them all so well…thank you for the inspiration!

  23. Josephine Riddle Reply

Like everyone else, I loved the try on session. I felt like we just came from the mall! My favorite was the metalic sweater, such a beautiful color. I laughed at your bookshelf of purses! Unfortunately my bookshelves are filled( stuffed, really) with books, so my husband will have to live with purses on his closet shelves!! Have a great day, and thank you for making mine brighter.

Loved the fashion show. You look so relaxed and like you were having fun. Yes my room looks like yours! LOL Your hair in all these pictures looks fabulous.

  25. Yes – I love your try on session. It helps in case I like to order something you show us and I can order it before it is gone. I really liked the black button sweater. Great price and nice to wear for a dressy occasion. But I definitely want to see how you will style each item at a later date.

Tania-I enjoyed your fashion show this morning, and hope you do more in the future. So many great sweaters! I love the beige sparkly one and also the gray cashmere one. You look great in both. Compliments also on your hair. Something is a little different, and I love it. Nancy

  27. I love the grey cashmere and the cardigan jacket. I can just see that grey sweater over my red plaid shirt with my grey vest. I do need some grey boots badly but one can’t have everything, where would you put it? LOL

    • Catherine McClamrock Reply

HeyTania! Love the try on session! Love your haircut! It looks great however, please do not wear the beige/tan sweater unless you wear it with a turtleneck or blouse since this color washes out your face color! Keep up the good work!

  28. Stacie Kreitman Reply

LOVED the red, and pink-purple sweaters. I am amazed that you can find so many things that fit so perfectly. Loved the “show”. Am thinking of doing this with some of my girlfriends, so much fun. However since I do not look great in everything I put on, I will not be sharing with the intern et. LOL.

  29. Tell me about “groundhogs in the sack”. My method is trying to stretch with my arms inside the item or just grab a handful on each side & tug.

  30. I loved this post ! Beautiful sweaters and bracelets! I bought 2 of the bracelets! I hope they hold up well.

  31. What a fun post! and thanks for turning us on to “The Styled Collection” for the bracelets. Lookin’ fabulous as ever!
