4 and 5-Inch Denim Shorts
Old Navy always has a large selection of shorts at very affordable prices. I know a lot of my readers like a longer shorts, but check out these high-waisted jean shorts if you are one of the few who love a shorter inseam. They come in several different washes, including white and black, and a wide range of sizes ranging from 0-30.
Levi’s is known for their denim for a reason! This pair of cutoff shorts would be so cute with a graphic tee and sneakers for a day of cleaning the house or with a blouse and sandals for a day out. Reviews say they run small so don’t forget to size up!
The elastic waist on these Miramar walking shorts from rag & bone almost makes them look like a pair of paperbag shorts, which I love! I really like the slight distressing of this Brooke wash, but they also come in two non-distressed versions.
Have you ever tried any of Wit & Wisdom’s ‘Ab’Solution products? I own several pairs of their pants and love them! They are made with power mesh panels that mold and hold, and these patch pocket shorts have the same technology.
7-Inch Denim Shorts
I’m putting these shorts in two different categories. They are 9″ Birdie Bermuda Shorts, but I wanted to wear them cuffed for a shorter look. I added the Orchid Willow Linen Shirt for a huge pop of color and a mood enhancer.
The cream Woven Tote With Pouch is a perfect neutral color for spring and summer. I love the feel of the tote, and it is a great size that will hold most of my stuff. The tote is by London Fog which is a brand that you know and trust, and I found it on Walmart.
If you don’t love shorter length shorts, you could experiment with a 7″ inseam. It’s like the story of Goldilocks and the three bears, LOL. Not too short, not too long… they’re just right! I love the little side slits on this pair from Chico’s. These also have a slimming panel in the waistline area, which is always a plus.
Here’s another super affordable pair from Old Navy. They are on sale this week for only $20, which is a steal! They come in four classic washes, including black.
This pair from Democracy has a 7″ inseam when cuffed, but you can also unroll them if you prefer a 9″ inseam. These shorts also have built-in ‘Ab’solution technology, but my favorite part is how utilize strategically placed pockets and a curved back yoke to give the illusion of a booty lift!
I love the NYDJ denim brand! I have several pairs of their denim, and they are all super great quality. You can read more about the brand here. I thought these denim shorts from them looked very chic and classy, and could easily be dressed up with a wedge and nice blouse.
9+ Inch Denim Shorts
I finally got the White Premium Leather/Gum sneakers in, and I LOVE them!!! I have several all-white sneakers, and I wanted this pair with the gum soles. These are attention-grabbing which I usually steer clear of because I have large feet. These sneakers talked me into ignoring that, and I actually think the squared toe makes my feet look smaller.
I grabbed these denim Bermuda shorts from Lee last year in a size 10, and I wore them all the time last summer! They’re a great price at just over $30, and I found them super comfortable and not restricting at all.
If you hate your knees or thighs showing, then these knee shorts from Wit & Wisdom are the perfect shorts for you! The light wash is so cute, and I can totally imagine them styled with so many different tops and shoe combinations.
I’m putting these shorts on my wishlist! The dark wash will make them super easy to dress up or down. The reviews are fabulous, and the elastic waist looks so easy and comfortable for laid-back summer days.
Here’s a great choice if you love a “cut-off” look but are looking for a little extra length. The raw hem and slight distressing make these Bermudas so cute and casual. I love them paired with a white sneaker like they did here, but they would look just as cute with a flip-flop or dressy sandals!
Last but not least… how do we feel about these relaxed high-waisted shorts from NYDJ? I am sharing them in the Corfu blue wash, but I think I might prefer them in black! You’ll need to size down in these as they will stretch with wear.
