It’s getting warm, so summer weddings and outdoor events require dressing up. Having to wear a regular bra every single day can be annoying enough, but finding a great strapless bra that doesn’t fall down or dig into your skin is an entirely different ballgame. For the occasions when you’re going to wear a halter, one-shoulder, or strapless top or dress, you’ll need a comfortable strapless bra that stays put! Today, I’m sharing my recommendations for comfortable and supportive strapless bras for women over 50.

While you’re shopping for undergarments, check out the 7 Bras Every Woman Over 50 Should Own.

Supportive Strapless Bras that are Comfortable for Women Over 50

Victoria’s Secret knows a thing or two about bras! This is made for those dresses and necklines that are lower than usual. Side note: Years ago, I had a friend who was raised by a nanny. Her family had what they call “old money.” I remember her telling me that nothing said you were not raised well than having your lingerie show. This was years ago. Now underwear IS outerwear. Anyway, this bra won’t show, so you’ll be good to go if you run into my friend. Available in sizes up to 38DD.

Strapless Convertible Pushup Bra

Underwire goes a long way in supporting the “girls.” This bra has removable straps, which is a plus because you’ll get more wear out of it. Convert it to traditional, halter, crisscross, etc. It’s available in nude, black, and white and is under $30 dollars. Available in sizes up to 42B.

DELIMIRA Women’s Underwire Bra

Underwire makes an appearance again, but this bra also features a silicone band along the top & band for a stay-put fit. I love that it comes in over 30 colors and, like the others, comes with adjustable straps so that you can get plenty of wear from it. There are lots of options as this comes in sizes up to 46DD! Not bad for a bra that’s just $30 dollars.

Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Strapless Bra

If you’re looking for a supportive strapless bra that stays put, I recommend starting with this one from Wacoal! It has many amazing reviews on Nordstrom, especially from women with larger breasts.

Spanx Up for Anything Strapless Bra

Because I loved my everyday bra by SPANX, I also decided to try the strapless one. It is as comfortable as a strapless bra and doesn’t slip or slide, even when I’m sweating in hot weather.

Brassybra Adhesive Bra

If you are wearing a dress or top with a plunging neckline or low back and need to forego a bra, this adhesive bra is the perfect solution. It not only helps to conceal, but it helps to lift the girls, which regular pasties can’t do.

Bare Necessities Ahh Angel Seamless Bandeau Bra

If you are looking for extreme comfort, you should try this bandeau bra from Rhonda Shear. It’s soft, stretchy, and seamless, preventing uncomfortable poking or digging.

VDT Boob Tape

Sometimes, even a strapless bra can show in certain tops or dresses. In those scenarios, tape is a great solution. This set from VDT comes with nipple covers to conceal and tape so that you can add support and lift if needed.

Lively The No-Wire Strapless Bra

I know some ladies avoid underwire like the plague! If this describes you, you’ll love the no-wire strapless bra from Lively. It even has adjustable, removable straps so that you can wear it as a regular bra. It’s available up to size 38DD.

ThirdLove 24/7 Classic Strapless Bra

Memory foam cups and a silicone no-slip grip along the top and bottom edges make this bra from ThirdLove, a top contender for the most supportive and comfortable strapless bra. It also comes in black and is around $72 dollars.

Strapless Sticky Bra

This is the perfect bra solution for a backless dress! The clasp helps to pull the individual pads together, creating lift and support. It looks like it would fall right off, but that’s what the sticky is for!

Let me know, Gurls! Do you have a go-to strapless bra, or do you avoid them altogether?

  11. I’ve never tried adhesive ones before. Do they hold up to heat and sweating?

    1. Cecilia, I’ve never had any issues with them, but I don’t sweat very much. I don’t think they would hold if you were wet, like in a pool.

  12. I love the idea of the Boob Tape and sticky bras. Bras can be so uncomfortable and I rarely ever wear one around the house. These products would give me some coverage.
