Baby It’s Cold Outside & A Giveaway
Finally, it feels like winter. I hate having cute winter outfits and not getting to wear them. Today I am channeling Alaska in honor of my daughter. Do you think it is a coincidence that she is leaving Thursday, and it is supposed to warm up then? I don’t think so!!!
I’m not sure why I like snow. I don’t like to be cold, in fact I HATE being cold. Whenever we buy a new vehicle, one of my only requests is to have heated seats. I will use them pretty much year round. I don’t go snow skiing, sledding, or any other outdoor snow activity. But, I want my snow in the winter.
So, if I am going to be cold, I am going to at least wear a cute faux fur vest. This was a Christmas present from one of the ladies I work with. Mine has a label called Laura Lane, but I couldn’t find a listing for a vest. Here is a similar one. The tunic is from Target, and was actually pretty thick material. This was the first time I had bought any clothing from Target, and it washed up really well.
I am wearing brown leggings, maybe not the warmest choice, but I was feeling adventurous. I made sure I covered my tush, nobody wants to see that. Hahaha My OTK boots looked good with the outfit, but you could wear ankle boots, rain boots, or even flats. 
I have on my Stella & Dot necklace that my sister-in-law got me for Christmas. It is now retired, so Ebay is the best place to find one if you are interested. I have on several pearl bracelets, to match the pearls in the necklace.
Today is my 4 month anniversary. Can you believe I have actually made it 4 whole months? So, that means it is time for a giveaway! I bought a quartz necklace from Baublebar, and it could be yours. I have2 of those target tunics. I don’t buy many clothes there either but the tunic does was well and I feel it is good quality for the price. I love the vest! I tried one on but I looked like a bear or some kind of large animal and put it back on the rack. It looks great on you! Sorry that your daughter had to leave for Alaska. One of mine lives out of town too and whenever she leaves I am sad cause I miss her so much!!!! Gotta get that quality time in whenever you can though!! I have heard that Alaska is a beautiful vacation spot so there is one plus for you! Have a great day.

Great outfit! You mentioned your leggings weren’t the warmest choice. Have you tried any of the lined leggings? I bought several pair for my daughter while she was at Baylor. It gets pretty cold traipsing across campus and she loved the lined ones!

Congratulations on your 4 month anniversary! I love your blog and your faux fur vest. I don’t like the cold either, but living in Canada it’s impossible to escape it. Luckily it’s been warmer here this winter than is typical. One year ago today it was -51 Celsius with the windchill (that’s like -60 Fahrenheit). Heated seats are a really great thing on days like that…..if your car will even start!????

This is casual but a great Wednesday look! Coincidentally I went into my closet and decided to wear colors in the brown family today. I too like it cold and SOME snow. We have a huge ice festival here this weekend and it’s going to warm up here as well. I don’t know how they will keep all the ice carvings from melting. I am also happy that I can wear my winter things because they just feel so cozy! I should wear my boots that are the same color as yours now that I have checked your blog. 🙂

I love faux fir vests!!! I have a couple of them. 🙂 I’ve gotten quite a few items of clothing at Target and I’ve always had really good luck with them and it won’t break the bank so that makes me happy! You seem to be able to wear all colors!! Oh and I think the next time I am to get my hair done I’m showing her your hair. I want those colors!
I live in MN so I am used to cold and snow. I don’t do alot of outdoor activities in it, but I still love it in the winter!
As always you pretty much nailed the vest! I like the style of it being not so thick. I have seen women wearing thicker ones or heavier (not sure how to describe and it is not flattering to their body. Finally, its cold enough to wear the blanket scarf I won from you. Thank you again!
