Affordable Walmart Holiday Styles For How You Want To Celebrate
Are you a stay-at-home and cozy-up-on-the-couch kind of girl when it comes to the holidays? Or do you like celebrating by getting all dressed up and heading out on the town? I honestly like both options, and it usually depends on the weather. If it is cold and nasty outside, I want to stay home and snuggle up on the couch. But, if it is nice, I love getting all dressed up and going out to eat with my hubby. Either way, here are affordable Walmart holiday styles that will work for however you want to celebrate.
Affordable Walmart Holiday Styles For Celebrating At Home
Joe and I have become homebodies in the past few years. We love staying home and not having to deal with the traffic when traveling. Most of the time, I’m celebrating at home, and that means wearing casual clothing. I’ve linked to all the clothing, but at this time of the year, things sell out quickly, and brands don’t always restock since they don’t want a lot of inventory going into spring. I’ll include similar items when possible, so watch for those.
I love a tonal outfit; it looks chic and put together. The Magenta Textured Hi-Lo Sweater is a beautiful color with hints of black running through the fabric. The sweater is loose-knit, so I added a white Long Sleeve Button Down Shirt underneath it. The shirt adds warmth, keeps you from seeing through the loose weave, and gives the outfit an elevated look. I untucked the shirt to create some separation between the Magenta Textured Hi-Lo Sweater and High Rise Corduroy Flare Jeans. These flare corduroy jeans are a great color, and I would wear them with navy, ivory, black, green, etc. They have the perfect amount of flare, not too big or too small.
The Plaid Button Down Cropped Shacket is so cute, and I love the casual vibe. My issue with past shackets is that they are usually oversized and sloppy-looking. This one is a gorgeous color (more options are available) and almost has a feminine vibe. What do you think?
It is difficult to tuck jeans into boots that don’t zip, but the Cognac Tall Slouch Boots has a half zip that makes it easier. The easiest way to tuck your jeans into boots is by tucking the jeans into socks before slipping on the boots.
Affordable Walmart Holiday Styles For Celebrating Out On The Town
I love crushed velvet, and this gorgeous Crushed Velvet Top in the “rhubarb” color is so vibrant and pretty. You gurls in warmer climates have been asking for things you could wear for the holidays, and this top would be perfect. The puffed short sleeves will keep you cool, and the top isn’t heavyweight. The Coated Skinny Jeans look more elegant than jeans. I added a pair of black Slingback Patent Pumps to keep the outfit dressy. The slingbacks have an ankle strap, but I would have liked them better without the strap. I rarely wear straps around my ankle; I don’t find them comfortable.
This is an outfit I would wear if I was going on a date night or to a friend’s house for a holiday celebration. The outfit is dressy enough for those events but still has a slightly casual vibe. Since the shirt and pants are each under $20, the outfit is extremely affordable.
Since I would be heading out of the house, I would need to add a coat. This gorgeous Faux Fur Bungee Shacket adds a festive and chic look to the outfit, plus it is warm even though it is lightweight. The jacket is available in several colors and is under $30!

I bought a fitted velvet top to go with the velvet Pants at walmart but you showed me how to change it up, with the satiny blouse and heels. (I was looking for cold weather clothes while traveling). Actually I have some nice blouses from my work wardrobe, just recently retired, that would work too along with pumps of all colors. And I have some fur vests & jackets that would do. Thanks for the ideas!
Love the outfits, especially the velvet pants and satin blouse! Also love your hairstyle, so modern and attractive!!!

I love your bangs…..is your hair layered?
Yes, it has layers in it.
I’m always impressed with Walmart clothing. I think they do a great job of providing current styles at a lower price.
I went to high school in the 60’s. I loved clothes but they were not available at stores like Walmart. I had to sew a lot of my own clothes or use layaway at local department stores. Now the clothing is available at affordable prices a many stores.
love your new hair cut!
Love the red crushed velvet shirt!! thanks for the Xmas outfit idea!
Tania would you please show your hair cut from the sides and back? What is the cut called and how do I explain it to my stylist? The cut is extremely pretty on you. It so shows off your eyes and smile! I can only hope that it could do the same for me.
Doreen, I’ll try to remember to do that tomorrow. I think I’m taking photos then. I’ll put it in the email if I get some different angles.
Thanks, that fluffy faux fur shacket is great. I’m going shopping in my closet!
I want the velvet pants. Such a pretty outfit.
I ordered a few festive tops from Walmart a while back. Great prices!!
I love your new hairstyle; it’s so cute! Also, I just love those beautiful velvet pants!
I mean WalMart has come a long way with their clothes!! I’ve ordered some cute, good quality things! Thanks for sharing!

Wish those velvet pants weren’t out of stock. They ate so elegant.
WOW! What beautiful items from Wal-Mart.
I love the boots. Nice affordable fashions.
Once I get home from work, I am inside for the rest of the day. And it gets dark so quickly now. I am a summer girl!
I’m a summer girl too.
I have to say it again…. Walmart has really upped their game with their clothing choices.
Love the green duster – great color on you!
I got the cute Santa sweater you modeled earlier from Walmart. They’ve really improved their selection and quality.
Wasn’t that sweater adorable?!?
Love these looks and especially the prices! You can look fashionable and not spend a fortune!
I love the shacket! I think this would look much better on me since I’m petite. Going to give it a try.
Love those celebrating outfits! Elevated comfort!!
Ohhh wow!! Love everything about today’s post. Thank you!!
I saw the comment about you looking slimmer in skinny jeans but it must be the styling here. You look thin in the brown flare jeans in your last post. You had on a brown jacket. Also in other posts too. I remember as I have similar measurements, etc so look to see what looks good on you.
Boot cut jeans have never gone out of style in my neck of the woods but loving flare jean right now.
I agree with you about choosing a style that looks best on your own body type. For me, a straight leg or flare is the most becoming, and a wide leg makes me look huge. There’s no reason to wear something just because it’s “in” at the moment. Do you, and walk tall in your boots!
My favorite is the outfit with the velvet pants and fur jacket.
You look so good in all these outfits. The colors and styles are just right.
I’m a homebody so this is great!
I love the outfits and the gravy looks good too.
Lol… tried for the olive cardigan, the plaid shacket, and the Sofia jeans… all sold out in my size 😂 Must mean they are great choices! Also… the new hair is soooo cute!!
Joyce, that is the frustration of shopping during this time of the year.
Love the velvet pants. So stylish.
Very nice, thanks for a great post!
We stay at home most of the time because of my husband’s health. However, we do attend a few parties and/or find a favorite restaurant usually for lunch. I enjoy getting dressed up for a holiday event with a light-weight sweater and slacks or jeans and then adding a jacket or blazer.
Once again, these look so much better than they do on the website. Hey, Wal-Mart, you should pay Tania to do your modeling! 😀
Lol!
I like the boat cut jeans the best too. Love your post and love Walmart!
All of the outfits look great on you. I really like the blue plaid shacket- it really looks good with your coloring.
I love seeing the holiday outfits. And I really love your new haircut! Your bangs are so cute. Makes you look younger!
WOW! Everything looks fabulous on you! I love the satin top and wide leg pants! Very cute and affordable choices! Happy Monday❤❤❤
Thanks for what you do – I need help with ideas for outfits now that I’m retired.
Wow, you knocked it out of the ball park today! You look fantastic in those outfits. I’m really impressed with Walmart. I’m going to have to check out Walmart’s clothing.
love the magenta outfit.
Tania, the first outfit looks great on you. Those jeans could not fit you any better. I am still stuck in the slim leg style. Guess I need to get with the program and try something new. It’s a process…
Love your new hair style!
The bungee shacket is adorable!
Great options that are also affordable!
Nice velvet top in red!
I have to tell you, I bought a few wide leg pants and a few boot leg jeans in the fall, but at the end of the day, I find myself wearing my slim leg, ankle length jeans and pants. I think because there is less fabric, I appear slimmer and I’m all in favor of that look. I even see this on you in the first photo. I think you look great in the first photo. You look nice in the other looks, but you look fabulous in look 1. So I ask myself, why look ok when you can look stunning.
Pat, it is funny you mentioned that I look slimmer in a slim or straight cut pair of jeans over another. I think the jeans that are the most flattering on me are a bootcut or a slight flare. The straight cut isn’t my favorite because I can never decide what kind of shoes to wear. In the end, fashion is about wearing what you like and makes you feel comfortable.
Great post!
I am heading straight to Walmart especially for the satin blouse, shacket and flare cord jeans! Thank your for posts that show affordable items in “trendy” styles that may or may not be the trend next season!
Good luck, Terry. I order most of my clothing online since I can never find what I want in the stores.
Love the cropped shacket!
I’ve tried a few of your outfit ideas and bought some pieces from WalMart thanks to you. I wouldn’t have thought about them without your posts. Thanks!
