Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a silver tie front top with a metallic thread with a chevron chiffon skirt and white strappy heels

Yesterday was a total disaster on my blog. ????  You might not be aware that when you have a blog, you also have to have a hosting company. Over the past week, I’ve had several issues, and I’ve had to get GoDaddy to fix the problems. However, I am sure you all have had similar situations where you fix one thing, and then it messes up something else. That is what happened to me, and when they went in to fix the problem, it erased all of my posts back to last Wednesday.

I about cried! You work so hard to create posts, answer comments, etc., and then it is all gone, poof vanished into thin air! Do you know the old saying about, “fool me once?” Well, I am not going to be made a fool of again, I’ll be making sure that I have a sound backup system up and running from now on so this won’t happen again. I am just thankful that I didn’t have more posts written in advance and scheduled to publish later in the week. If you did not see yesterday’s post, then click here. It was a way too pretty of an outfit for no one to have seen it. The silver lining…it looks like this is one time that procrastinating paid off for me. Lol!

Speaking of silver, check out this gorgeous metallic silver pullover top. There is so much that I love about this top! I love that it has a deep v-neck, that is my favorite neck style. And, I love the relaxed fit to this top and how it ties in the front for a unique detail. The top has a sheen of silver metallic thread that runs throughout the material, adding a hint of sparkle to my day. The fabric is sheer, lightweight, and a linen-blend so that even you ladies in the hottest climates should be able to wear this gorgeous top. The top is also machine washable, which I always appreciate. I am wearing a size 1 in this top, and it fits me perfectly!

This flowy, chiffon-style maxi skirt is beautiful! The skirt was blowing in the breeze as I was walking in the yard, and it looked so pretty and summery. The website called the print an updated chevron, but it looks like coral or tree branches to me. I like the abstract print and the neutral color, which looks great with the silver top above. I could also see wearing this skirt with a bright top, or even a white or black t-shirt. The skirt has button closure waistband, and soft gathers fall from the band giving the skirt a full look. I am shocked, but the skirt is machine washable in cold water, so that makes it even better! I am wearing a size 1 in the skirt, which is 8-10 in Chico’s sizing. Also, I just noticed that both the top and the shirt are on sale up to 50% off!!! Woohoo, this is your lucky day!

These strappy sandals are so cute and feminine. I love the asymmetrical straps are, that give these shoes style and sex-appeal. But, I’ll also give you a warning that they have a 4″ heel, so these are not for the inexperienced heel wearer. Lol! The shoes do have a cushiony footbed, so they are pretty comfortable for a high heel. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these, and they fit great. The shoes also come in black, and since they are only $18.00, you can grab both of those without breaking your budget.

I get a lot of comments about my rhinestone circle necklace. It is a vintage one that I bought a long time ago, but I’ll link to some similar options for you below. The large silver hoops are by Kendra Scott, and they are the AVI. I liked them so much that I also bought the same pair in gold. My necklace was a gift from Rodan + Fields, so that is not available for purchase, but you can still by the dainty Rue cuff bracelet that I wear a lot.

Ladies, I appreciate all of your support, especially on days when things are not going great. Several of you took the time to tell me that the website was down, and that helped me to catch the issue and get to work on it quickly. Also, you have no idea how much it means to me when you leave comments. I read all of them, and they are what helps me get to know you, as well as what type of clothing or information that you would like to see on the blog.

  1. I find those maxi skirts to be too frumpy. I just haven’t seen one I like on women:(

    1. I am just the opposite. I find maxi dresses very feminine.

  2. Love your blog and your style! I basically don’t go out, besides church (very casual) so have nowhere to wear such awesome outfits ????. I also really like your purses! I have one for winter and one for summer! I’m curious what you carry in such big bags, I have a medium sized tooled leather bag that collapses in because I have a little wallet, some lotion, sunglasses and lipstick. ????‍♀️

Tania I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I only received the text from your post today….no pix of you in the outfit. I only saw the pieces by clicking on the “here is the link” parts. So sorry! Sounds like you have had a whale of awful stuff going on. I hated to tell you, but thought I’d better. And who knows, maybe the problem is at MY end? Loved the outfit!

    1. Same here. I could only read the text, however, the pictures were missing.

    2. Becci Kalfell says:

I had the same issue with no pictures of you, Just the broken pic symbol.

    3. It wasn’t only on your end, it happened to me, too.

  7. I think it’s a really pretty summer look. I don’t like short skirts bit I do like longer ones all though I’m short so I have to be careful. I love tops like this with a little sparkle. I don’t like the super thin fabrics in a top though because they tend to cling in the wrong places and show my not so lovely love handles.

    1. I don’t like anything that will cling to me either. This top doesn’t cling at all.

  8. So glad you got got the problems solved. I do just fine until I hit a glitch. This outfit is pretty on you. Looks dressy.

    1. That glitch just about ruined my day! Thankfully, I had a backup of the post that I had made for yesterday.

  9. I love the Bible verses you post. Love the outfit. It looks cool, comfortable & feminine in a classy way. Glad you got everything straightened out on you site.

    1. Holly, thanks for following the blog. I am thrilled that you like the Bible verses at the end of my posts.

  10. Ginger Jackson says:

Looks like a dining and dancing night out outfit to me! Joe stepping, I mean dancing, up to the plate?

    1. Lol! Joe is a dancer, so he would love that!

Love your flowy outfit for today. Extremely hot in Savannah, Ga. I wanted to let you know I did not recieve your post today. It is usually there when i get up at 6. I have coffee and Tania! Dont know if this happened because of issues you had. I went ahead and subscribed again so hopefully I want miss recieveing it. Can’t do with out my morning fashions post.

    1. Hmmm, that is odd. I didn’t change anything with emails, so that shouldn’t have bothered it. I am glad that you were able to subscribe again.

  12. I love the summery silvery outfit! Sorry about the lost posts, ouch that hurts! The great news is you haven’t lost your fans. Yay! Love the Exodus quote too! Thanks for your blog!

    1. Karen, I am hoping that I can still retrieve my older posts, but I appreciate you saying that about my fans.

  13. I love this outfit!!! Skirt looks so flows!

    1. It is flowy! I love how feminine it looks.

  14. Oh don t talk about hosting companies to me! Two years ago they let me down with my blog and I had to start all over again! Two years of blogging in the bin! Can you Imagine how sad I was! I guess we all have our problems with hosting at one point. Just glad yours are solved!

    1. Goodness. I guess that reminds me to be grateful that it wasn’t much worse! Yikes!
