A TIE FRONT TOP WITH JEANS

I was laughing yesterday when I was scrolling Facebook, and I came across one of my friends who had played the “what you will look like when you get older” game. You click on the game, and it uploads your profile picture, and then it will show you a picture of what it thinks you will look like later in life. My friend’s photo showed a lady with LOTS of cats all around her. She thought it was funny because she said that her husband says that she is only one cat away from being a crazy cat lady. Lol!!! Let me tell you what I did to Joe when we first got married. I love cats, but Joe is not as big a fan as I am. He doesn’t mind having cats as long as they are outside cats. I found a kitten for sale once, and I went and bought it, but I told him that I found it along the road because I KNEW that he would not want me to get the cat. When he came home and saw the cat, he said that we had to get the kitten back to the rightful owner. No problem, right? Lol! He wanted to go driving where I “found” the kitten, and see if anyone was out looking for it or if there were any missing signs, I agreed to go with him, so we hopped in the car and took off. We had driven around for a while, and I thought we were heading back to the house when he spots two kids out playing beside the road. He stopped and asked them if this was their cat. They, of course, said no, but then he said, “well, would you like to have the cat?” They, of course, said yes! WHAT??? He gave them my kitten! I couldn’t tell him that I had bought the kitten (I only paid 25.00) since I had lied and said that I had found it beside the road. He was happy as a lark, and I learned a good lesson about fibbing. Then he went on to tell me that if I ever brought home another inside cat, he would divorce me. Remind me to tell all of you at a later time, about the time I brought home THREE cats in one week. LOL!!! This top by Karen Kane was the very first outfit that I styled on the blog. I styled it again in 2016 (here) in almost the same fashion. Lol! I had forgotten that I had even worn it before. Usually, I will add a pop of yellow to this top, but today, I decided to stay in the same color family. The front tie style top is very popular at this time, and you will find them in a lot of the stores. I recently posted one that I bought while I was in the Atlanta area a couple of weeks ago. I love the blue and white print; I think it looks fresh and clean. Adding the Joan Rivers short sleeve navy cardigan gave me some warmth without covering up this gorgeous top. I like the effect of the sleeves showing under the short sleeve sweater, but I am curious if this is a style that you like.

I didn’t add a lot of jewelry, only a pair of navy fringed earrings that are sold out online, and a rhinestone circle necklace that I picked up at a shoe store for 5.99. Lol! You always need to be on the lookout for accessories; you never know where you might find something that you like. You gurls know that I love stylish items, and my shoes are no exception. I admit, there have been times where I would sacrifice comfort to have a pair of shoes on that were stylish. That is not the smartest thing to do unless you like walking around barefooted before the day or night is through. So, when I got an email from QVC asking me if I would like to try these nubuck leather sandals, I was chomping at the bit. (In case you are not from the south, or ride horses; that means that I was excited about the opportunity) These shoes are by Clarks Footwear, a brand that is synonymous with comfort and style. I love the trendy style, such as the perforated material, the peep toe style, and the block style heel. The padded insole will make walking in these shoes a breeze. And, you are in luck since these are a Today’s Special Value!!! By the way, I am wearing my normal size 9, so these run true to size. QVC gifted me these shoes, but the opinion is all my own. Here is the link to the shoes. A nice pair of bootcut jeans finishes my look. The bootcut and flare style of jeans is hitting the stores this year. Get ready to see a lot of this style, as well as high-waist jeans, and wide-leg pants. One of the hottest styles this year is going to be the wide-leg crop pants. That is a style that I am warming up to, but it may still take me a while before it is completely embraced. My jeans are by Vigoss, premium denim jeans that I often wear because they last forever.
