A CASUAL MEMORIAL DAY OUTFIT THAT IS COMFORTABLE

Do you have any plans this weekend? I am in Tennessee visiting my parents and the rest of my family there. My granddaughter is having a ballet recital later today, and I can’t wait to watch her perform. She has more grace in her little pinky than I have in my entire body.

My mom usually has a few things for me and my daughter to do while we are there, so I can’t wait to hear what she has planned. I know that she and my aunt visited the cemeteries yesterday, so that shouldn’t be in our plans. I’m going to be staying with them through Monday, so I’ll be going to church with her on Sunday, and then we will probably go to eat.

This casual outfit is great for Memorial Day and the 4th of July, but it can be worn any time you want. The casual vibe is perfect for the Coastal Grandmother trend, and I would wear this outfit while on a beach vacation. The Linen Blue & White Shirt fits oversized, and you can wear the shirt buttoned, tied, or open like a jacket. I love the oversized look, but it takes a while to get used to it if you’re not used to this style. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits well.

Here is the length of the shirt in the back, and it would be a little longer if I didn’t have the front tied. This would be a great shirt to wear with a pair of navy leggings, it would be a great comfortable outfit.

I added the Sand to Shore Necklace that reminds me of the seeds from a money plant. This has become one of my favorite necklaces to wear with white this year. I also added a pair of Lapis Blue earrings and a Lapis Cuff Bracelet. The earrings I’m wearing are no longer available, but I linked some others below.

I wanted to add color to my look, and since red, white, and blue is associated with Memorial Day, I added a reddish Bamboo Detail Straw Tote. The bamboo handle is a cute detail, and I like the woven straw tote since it is lined, and nothing falls out. The tote is a nice size and will hold probably more than you need. This color is no longer on the website, but they still have the tote in a multi-striped version.

These white gauze pants are a pair that I bought from Appleseeds. The white color has sold out in misses and Petites, but they are available in Plus Size. I love the style of these pants, they are so comfortable. I found a similar style, and they are under $20.00.

These Lambskin Leather White Beaded T-Strap Sandal has been one that I keep reaching for since it goes with everything. The square toe style has been trending for a while, but I’ve not been a fan. I like a pointy toe since it makes your legs look longer. But, I must admit that this sandal is winning me over, and I might jump on the bandwagon. I’m wearing my usual size 9, so the sandals run TTS.
