I’m a sweater gurl! I love oversized, turtlenecks, cable knits, hoodies, and fun sweaters. The thing they all have to have in common is they must be comfy and cozy. Here are 9 sweaters so comfy you’ll never want to take them off!
Before I go any further, I want all of you to notice that I updated my blog! I’m so excited!!! The post (like this one) will still look the same, but if you go to my home page, you will see many changes. I can’t wait to hear your feedback and be sure to let me know if you see things I need to edit.
If you saw yesterday’s post, you noticed a lot of bling, sparkles, and fancy items that I picked for holiday looks. Even though I love dressing up for the holidays, there are lots of times when I want to be casual and comfortable. This comfy sweater and jeans outift would be great for a casual Thanksgiving look.
This Ivory hoodie is super comfortable, and I love the casual style. I was a little shocked that it is such a nice thick sweater. It runs true to size, and I’m wearing a medium. The sweater is available in many colors; be sure to pay attention to the price, though, since each color is a different price. 🤷
I am a sucker for cable knit sweaters, and this one sure delivered! I love the rich chestnut brown color; the quality is so lovely. The sweater comes with a tie belt, but I took it off since I would never use it. I’ll cut the belt loops off later, and no one will ever know. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits great. The sweater is available in several other colors.
I told you I was a sucker for cable-knit sweaters. Lol! I love this monochromatic outfit, and even though it is casual, I think it looks stylish and elegant. The tonal blue head-to-toe look is sharp looking, and it looks like you put a lot of thought and effort into your look.
This is another lovely, thick, quality sweater. I absolutely love the deep rich color, but the cable knit design draws my eye. I’m wearing a medium that fits great, but if you want a looser fit, size up. The sweater comes in several different colors and a couple of striped versions.
I bought this jacket in off-white, and I thought I would love it. While I loved the off-white jacket, I would never wear it for some reason. I ordered the same jacket, only in navy, and I’m much happier. It is super cute, the color suits me better, and it’s water-resistant. I’m wearing a large, and I love how it fits; it still gives me enough room to wear a sweater.
Okay, so this isn’t technically a sweater, but since I’m wearing it like a sweater, I’m including it. This fleece jacket is super soft and so warm. You can wear the jacket open with a shirt underneath or zipped like I am. This is the color purple, but the jacket comes in many different colors and patterns. I’m wearing a size large, and it fits great.
The fleece crossbody bag is from Lululemon. I have this same bag in black, but it isn’t fleece. This is a handy bag since it holds my phone, credit cards, and a few other essentials. I used it to go shopping, while walking, and when we went to the water park. The fleece bag is sold out, but I’ve been told that Lululemon restocks on Tuesdays, but I’m not sure that is true.
It isn’t a fall post unless you have rust or terracotta in it. I’m looking across the street at all the leaves that have fallen on the ground, which are this exact terracotta color.
This sweater is 100% cotton, and I know many people prefer cotton sweaters. This is a nice comfy sweater that can be worn with almost anything. It doesn’t have bells or whistles, but it would look great worn under a blazer or with a lovely scarf. I’m wearing a size large, and it fits me perfectly.
For Valentine’s Day, my husband got me a Brahmin handbag. Well, actually, I bought the bag for him and said it was from him. Lol! I saved him the agony of picking out the perfect gift, so we were both happy, especially ME! I’m carrying the Brahmin Finley Small Croc Embossed Leather Satchel, and I LOVE the quality and workmanship of this special bag.
This sweater is sooo soft! I love the feel of the sweater against my skin. Can you believe it is a cable knit design? This sweater is one that you could dress up or down. It would look as good with dress pants as it does with a pair of jeans. I’m wearing the color olive, and the photo shows a little lighter than the actual color, but the image on the website shows darker than the actual color. I’m wearing a size large, and it fits me great.
The dumpling bag is one that I’ve had for a while, and I find myself carrying it often. I love the soft camel color since it will go with everything. This bag is sold out, but I linked a similar one in the description above.
I love the comfy factor of this sweater, but I would have liked for it to be a little more oversized. The website recommended a medium, so I ordered a large to get the oversized look. It looks like I should have ordered an XL because this is a good fit, not an oversized fit. This is the olive color, but there are other colors to choose from. I might try the dark red in an XL to see if I can achieve the look I’m after.
This tobacco brown leather tote is a great size. I love an oversized tote, especially if I need to carry many things with me. This size tote would hold my laptop if I needed to take it on the go, and it would look prettier than most briefcase-type bags I’ve seen.
I love this sweater!!! The color and the style are unique and make a nice statement. The quality is very lovely, too; I’m very impressed with the sweater. The sweater comes in several colors; I’m wearing the green one. The fit is excellent; I’m wearing a medium.
This satchel is the perfect medium size, and the leather is soft and subtle. I love that you can carry this bag as a satchel, a shoulder bag, or a crossbody. That gives you many options on how you want to carry the bag, depending on where you are going.
I’m sure you’ve been wondering about these jeans. They look fantastic with all of these sweaters. Dark wash jeans are dressier than lighter colors, so these jeans would look great for any holiday outfit you create. I’m wearing my usual size 8, and they fit great through the hips and legs but are just a tiny bit tight in the waist. That could be because I have been eating everything in sight, but if you are between sizes, you might want to size up.
I love a Fairisle sweater almost as much as a cable knit sweater. The playful Nordic design is a classic print that I love. I own several Fairisle sweaters, but I think this is the first one I’ve had in blue. If you have broad shoulders, this might be a sweater you want to disregard. I’m built like a ruler, straight up and down, so this print helps to create curves for me. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits great.
I love this lightweight leather shopper bag, but it sold out before I could get it on the blog. I found this similar one made by the same brand; the color is caramel, and this one is the same color as the one I’m wearing.
Be sure to leave me a comment about the new website. If you see things I’m missing, let me know so I can fix it.

I have just subscribed to your blog and this is the first time I am looking at your content. You have wonderful sweater recs. I love them all and am pleasantly surprised at their reasonable price points. Thank you for curating them.
You look so cute in longer cardigans in pictures! I’ve purchased some but they add so much volume to my hip area meh. Mostly from seeing myself in pictures. Ugh! My daughters even commented on it lol. Not sure how to make them look better on me. The navy outfit looks awesome!
I noticed the new website on Monday- it looks great. I even read the section about you and learned some new things. Not sure if you have expanded it or maybe I just never read that section. One thing I do miss is the list of stores at which you shop.
All the outfits are great and look great on you. My favorites are the navy cable knit sweater and the purple fleece jacket. I never think to purchase clothes from Amazon. I will have to rethink that. I also like the reversible black/beige snake print bag. Such a cool/clever idea.
Tania, This post contains so many beautiful sweaters, and you look so nice in all of them. I don’t own a Fairisle sweater, but now I’m thinking I would like to try the one you are wearing. Of course, the cable knits are so pretty and cotton sweaters are best for me since we live in south central Georgia, where it doesn’t get bitterly cold. I hope that you’ve had a blessed day!
I love the cable knit sweater you show in olive, but it doesn’t look olive in your pictures; it looks more like a celery or sage…which I would buy, but online it actually looks olive; which is not “my color!” Very strange! Does it look olive in person? I didn’t see any other color listed that looked close to the color you have on.

A bunch of great outfits! I’m trying to narrow down which ones I need to order. I’m always attracted to black and gray but really love the navy coat and sweaters.
Thank you for sorting all the different choices!

This is a great post! I love all the options.
One question. I looked at the terra-cotta one online and many reviews posted that it was on the shorter side. I looked at your picture and it doesn’t look short, but I’m leery. I’m 5’9”, so I have to be careful.
I enjoy following your posts.
Are the jeans from this year or last? Reviews on Talbots site for this year say they run V.ERY small. Those who order their normal size must return because their too small. Was wondering if you see the same issue?
By the way, I LOVE, love, all the sweater choices. I didn’t get weary looking at all! I love all the variety, colors and accessory options.
They are from this year. The only issue I had was that they were a tiny bit snug at the waist; they fit great everywhere else. After I wore them a little bit, they fit better around the waist.
Love all of the colors and the cable knit, but the blue fairisle 😱🥰🥰 I need that one. The only problem is recently I’ve ordered 2 fairisle sweaters……how many is to many? 🤷🏼♀️
I really like the new Home Page layout! It’s very crisp and readable. Polished, like all the sweater outfits today. My favorite is the navy blue one from Amazon. I also love the dark wash in the Talbot jeans. It goes with every sweater. So cool!
LOVE THE NEW BLOG DESIGN! I also love all the sweater looks, particularly the ivory hoodie and camel look and the blue! I wear neutrals and monochrome most of the time and these look fabulous!

Sweaters are my favorite. Loved this blog. I have the satchel from Chico’s. Its my all time favorite. The leather is beautiful and it holds more that you would think. Love it.

Wow that’s a lot of sweaters! So beautiful – love the outfits you modeled. thank you

It isn’t an olive color like the hoodie I styled. It is lighter and more like sage or celery.
I always love your posts. You are beautiful inside and out. And your outfit ideas are fabulous! To God be the glory!! Amen!
Leslie, you are sooo sweet! Thanks so much for your comment; it made my day.

Sue, I’m 5’6″ tall, so I hope that helps in your decision.

You can never have too many. lol!
I love the sweaters and the handbags! I think the Lululemon bag will go on my Christmas wish list. Do you think the fleece will get matted easily?
Mary Jo, I don’t think it will unless you wash it. I’ve not carried it very much though, so I can’t say for sure.
The Brahmin bag is fabulous! I’ve wanted the same one for several years, finally my husband surprised me with it for my birthday!
Congratulations!!! I love the bag, it really is something special.

Wow, you’ve really been busy! Love all the sweaters and the puffer jacket. Great job.

I don’t know if you changed the font or not but it is much cleaner and easier to read. Love this update!

I am a sweater gurl too! I ordered that green funnel neck when you last previewed it and it is even prettier in person!
All so pretty!!!
Gorgeous sweaters and accessories…
Just curious as to what color nail polish you are wearing…
I’m not sure, Julia. I told the nail lady to pick something. Lol!
Hello Falll! Love all of the sweaters and your pairings.
I love the hoodie sweater layered under the cable knit cardigan!
I live in sweaters fall to spring. These are very pretty. I also like the homepage layout.
Yay! I’m so glad you liked the homepage.
