Plaid Pants in the Neighborhood
It’s a wonderful day in the neighborhood. Won’t you be my neighbor? Don’t ask me, I have no idea why that came to mind. Mr. Rogers never wore plaid pants, at least I don’t think so. Maybe I have just finally lost what little mind I have left.
The next couple of days is going to be a little crazy. My daughter is having Lasik eye surgery today, and I will be taking her to Knoxville, TN. Knoxville is 3 1/2 to 4 hours from here, but it is only 1 1/2 hours from my parents house. So, after her surgery, we are going to travel to my mom’s house and spend the night. We have to go back to Knoxville again the next day for her check up. I hope to be able to still have a post for my blog, but just in case, you are forewarned.
This mustard yellow sweater is older and has no tag. I must have a thing about tags, since I have a lot of shirts with them missing. Here is a cute sweater from Old Navy. The infinity scarf, I thought came from Cato’s, but I could not find it on their site. The problem is, these stores turn over their products so fast, that they are not online after a couple of weeks.
I love these plaid pants. The colors are so spot on for this fall. The last time I wore these, I wore a navy top. So, I wanted to give a different perspective today. I wanted to bring out the yellow in the pants.
The Isaac Mizarahi booties and the purse matched up pretty well. I like matching my purse and shoes, I think it is a classic look. If I want to go more trendy, then I will wear contrasting colors.
I’m sorry to rush this post, but I need to get on the road. Please say a quick prayer for my daughter today. I’ll keep you updated.
I have added a subscription button to the blog. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.
Hope all went well today with your travels and your daughter’s surgery. I had LASIK in 2000 and still have perfect vision. She will love the results!

Good luck to your daughter today and know that she is in our prayers . I wish that I could put outfits together, like yours, by just going to my closet. But thanks for inspiring me to do better. Be safe in your trip today.

I saw a similar fur infinity scarf in an eggplant color last month at Chicos in case anyone can’t find it at Catos. I think they have it on their website….. I have a brown one and it’s the WARMEST infinity scarf I have ever owned… really keeps the cold wind off the neck on those extra chilly days.
Good luck to your daughter. Bet she appreciates you going with her.
