WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKEND

50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKENDDid anyone get the blizzard that was predicted? My daughter sent me a short video of her work and roads. Since she lives in Alaska that doesn’t count. I haven’t seen enough snow this year to even make a bowl of snow cream. Do any of you make snow cream? That had to be one of my favorite things to do as a child. Sledding was alright but you got wet and really cold doing that activity. I could run outside and grab a huge tub of snow and be back inside in 3 minutes flat. You always had to remember to rake off the top layer of snow but I never could figure out why.50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKENDAnd I also remember having to break off the biggest icicle I could find and eat on that. That sounds crazy to me now, that thing had to be filthy! It was made from running water off the roof which has asphalt, mold, and probably lots of bird crap all over it. No wonder I turned out the way I did, I have bird crap running through my veins. Lol!!! 50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKENDLet’s face it gurl’s, we don’t want to get all “dressed up” every day. I think I heard a chorus of AMENS! This was my look on Saturday. This would probably be what I would think would be a typical look for most of you on the weekend, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I don’t normally work on Saturday so I don’t usually get all gussied up. I had on the white long sleeve t-shirt and jeans and was just working on my reports (no they still aren’t done.) Joe needed to have a piece of equipment taken to our country club and the gentleman that was working at the lumber company needed to take it over to them. I got called into duty, ugh! I don’t normally wait on the counter so I dreaded going out there. We were surprisingly busy for a Saturday afternoon but thankfully I knew what most of the items where and how to bring them up on the computer. Back to my outfit……Anyway, I wanted to make my outfit a little more work friendly so I grabbed a cardigan, a bright scarf, and of course some jewelry. 50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKEND I chose to add a scarf today instead of a necklace for some added color. I am not a huge green fan so to “punch it up” I grabbed this J. Crew scarf that I bought a couple years ago. Even thought the green in the scarf is not exactly the same color it still goes with the outfit. The bright purples brighten the entire look and keep it from looking drab.

50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKEND I had to wear two of my new bracelets. I just got these in and they are way cuter than I thought they would be. The bracelet on the left is called the Shellee. It has enamel, rhinestones, pearl, and stamped metal all on one bracelet. The heart is stamped SIMPLIFY. The bracelet of watches on the right is called the Merylle. I gave this bracelet away on my personal FaceBook page as a Spring Forward reminder. I closed my last party and opened a new one. I bet you can guess what the name is….www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania4 EVERY purchase (for the rest of March) over $50.00 (excluding tax and shipping) will be getting a 15% off discount check from me. 50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKEND Talk about an old faithful, that is what this purse is. You could carry this purse full time and never have to change if you didn’t want to. I love the classic style of this purse, it is the perfect color and it has plenty of room to carry all my essentials. This is a Dooney & Bourke that I bought several years ago. I am going to have to build an addition on to my house soon to house all my shoes, purses, and clothes. Haha! It is a good thing that we are empty nesters now, I have expanded into the kid’s rooms.

50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKENDHow do you like the white stitching on these jeans? I like how the white pops off of the dark blue in the jeans. This pair is one that I bought at Maurices, they are the Chelsea by Vigoss. The darker wash jeans always have a dressier look than a light colored pair.
50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKENDThe dark green cardigan is a Liz Claiborne that I bought at the overstock store in town. I am a sucker when it comes to a cable knit design in a sweater. That is a classic pattern and it will probably never go out of style. You could even button this sweater and wear a dress blazer over the sweater for an even nicer look. That is how outfits are made, you just keep adding and changing items until you are satisfied. The next time you wear the sweater you might want to wear it with a pair of khaki pants. That would really make the green show up.

50 IS NOT OLD | WHAT TO WEAR ON THE WEEKEND I know a lot of you have expressed interest in Rodan and Fields but are holding off because of the price. I was right there with you so I COMPLETLY understand. What if I told you there was a way that you could purchase the products for yourself at cost, you could own your own company, and you could decide it or when you wanted to sell the products? There is, and the best thing is that it only will cost you $45.00!!! Here is the downside, though, there are no products in that cost. The $45.00 will only give you the ability to purchase the products. If you are interested in hearing more, then send me an email to fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

Cute outfit!!! Since I grew up in Wisconsin and now live in Minnesota, snow is just par for the course. But I start getting cranky when it snows in March! (even though that’s normal) So last weekend we got 9 inches. i was complaining until I saw what out East is going to get. So I’m thankful 9″ is ALL we got this time!

  8. How do you make a t shirt and jeans look so good?! I ordered a Shellee bracelet last week and can’t wait for it to come!

  9. i bought a bracelet of watch faces at the Mistletoe Market in Abingdon this year and it fell apart the first time I wore it! Fell to the ground and shattered, so I think it’s beyond repair! i’ll definitely check this out on Plunder!

  10. I love your look with the scarf and cardigan!
