What I’ve Bought From The Talbots Red Door Sale
You know I LOVE a good sale, and the Talbots Semi-Annual Red Door Sale is one of my favorites!!! Talbots is my husband’s favorite retailer, and he always compliments me when I wear their clothing. So today, I’m going to share with all of you what I’ve bought from the Talbots Red Door Sale…so far. Lol!
For sizing reference, I’m 5’6″ tall, and I normally wear a size 8 in bottoms and an 8-10 (med-large) in tops.
What I’ve Bought From The Talbots Red Door Event
Linen Blend Blazer and Crop Pants
Do you ever have buyers regret? You know, when you purchase something, and then later regret the purchase. Well, I had a different type of buyer regret when I stopped in at Talbots in April. I left the store without purchasing this linen blend outfit, and I’ve regretted it ever since.
I remedied that quickly when I saw they were included in the Talbots Red Door Event. I love the classic pinstriped Linen Blend Blazer, which looks fabulous with the Linen Blend Slim Leg Crop Pants. They are both versatile items that I’ll wear with other outfits. Unfortunately, the rattan crossbody has sold out, but I have a similar one below you’ll like,
I’ll pair the blazer with jeans, plus I think it will look great with white pants.
Linen Cardigan and Chinos
This neutral outfit is great for a casual summer day. I love that it will be a great fall transition outfit, letting you find more ways to wear your clothing.
I already own this Linen Girlfriend Cardigan in white and coral, and I love it so much that I also grabbed this beautiful fawn one. The cardigan is perfect for covering your arms during the summer since it isn’t heavy or bulky.
Collarless Denim Jacket and Chinos
Can you tell that I’m starting to prepare for the upcoming fall weather? Here is another great fall transition outfit. Even though it might be extremely hot right now, it won’t stay that way forever. I’m taking this opportunity to purchase the Fashion Denim Jacket now while it is on sale.
The collarless style is a fabulous fashion detail that gives this denim jacket an updated and modern look. The quality of this jacket is evident in this photo—it jumps off the page! I’m wearing a large, and the fit is perfect.
I’m always looking for a good crossbody, especially one that is versatile and will go with anything. This Leather Trim Canvas Crossbody is a great size and will hold all my essentials when shopping, etc.
Sleeveless Polo and Chinos
You might have noticed that I’ve styled the New England Crop Chinos in multiple ways. They are so versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. I love the length of these chinos, and the width of the legs is perfect.
I paired the chinos with a top I previously bought from Talbots. This UPF 50+ Sleeveless Piqué Polo is a top that I loved, but so did my daughter. So, I gave her the top since I have so much clothing. I was thrilled to see the top back in stock, plus on sale!!! This top is very flattering, and I love the zip feature and the textured piqué fabric with a moisture-wicking finish and SunWell UPF 50+ protection.
Sleeveless Polo and Gingham Pants
I love the casual look of the navy and white sleeveless polo with the Chinos. But the look of the outfit changes dramatically when paired with the Gingham Slim Crop Pants. This outfit is more elevated and would be perfect for a luncheon with friends.
Gingham is a classic print that you can wear for years. These Gingham Slim Crop Pants are gorgeous, and you can dress them up or down depending on your needs. They look fabulous with the UPF 50+ Sleeveless Piqué Polo, but I can’t wait to try them with a blazer.
Stripes and Crop Wide Leg Jeans
I dress casually most days. This Linen Popover top is perfect for running errands, shopping, or anytime you want to look cute and be comfortable.
I love the muted green and blue stripes and the relaxed fit of the top. It looks great tucked in or worn out, so I wanted to show you both looks.
Like the Crop Chinos above, these Crop Wide Leg Jeans are the perfect length and width. The legs aren’t too wide and let you wear the extremely popular wide-leg trend without feeling overwhelmed.

Talbots is one of my favorite retailers. I have only had one thing from them I didn’t love.
I love that they are size inclusive. As a fluffy girl, nothing is more discouraging to find a piece in a straight size that I love but the rebrand doesn’t have the same thing in larger sizes. I am assuring I find something in a Talbots line I love, I can find my size in the same thing!! That’s huge. Their fit is also true and for real women.
I love love love the blue linen. So pretty and flattering. And the full skirt in the blues is a favorite. I have that style skirt in three different colors and fabrics. It so flattering and forgiving.

One of the things I love about Talbotsnis that once you know your size, the clothing is pretty consistent in sizing. Most of the Talbots near me don’t carry larger sizes in store but My daughter lives in Mt Pleasant SC. And theirs does. So when I see a new type of style I want to try on, I go in there and try on to see how that new to my style fits. I will buy there. But this frees me to order online with assurance it will fit. Last year I bought two pair of the Bristol pants and they were a perfect fit. I almost always have to have my clothes altered – I’m short, curvy, larger bottom, smaller waist. So trying on and being prepared to alter is huge.
Trying on in a store to learn my size so I could shop online was a game changer
All cute pieces. My regret is I didn’t buy a short sleeve jean jacket from Talbot’s earlier . It’s no longer available in my size. That’s what I get for being cheap. Here in Texas to us it is like it will be hot forever. Maybe in October it might get cooler.
