Wow! The 4th of July was a scorcher! I wanted to write the blog outside since it was so pretty, but I didn’t last fifteen minutes. The pool needed some attention, so before I sat down, I got the leaf blower out and blew off all of the leaves that were around the pool. Then, the drains needed emptying, and the robot pool cleaner needed to be put in the pool and turned on. By the time that I did those few chores, I was a sweaty mess.
Thankfully, we had an invitation for drinks and dinner at my Energizer Bunny Friend’s house. We waited until the sun had started to cool down before we drove over there, and we had a great evening sitting outside and enjoying each other’s company. My EBF was dressed in a 4th of July t-shirt and had a headband tied around her hair. Joe poked at her that she looked like a flower child out of the ’60s, and then HE decided that he needed to try the headband on to see how it looked. You can judge for yourself….
This would be “JOE COOL” wishing all of you a happy 4th of July. Lol! After we took his photo, he demanded to see them because he had a sneaking suspicion that I might post one. This is the one that was “Joe approved.” Lol! You gurls will have to brag on him in the comments because I know that he is going to want to see what you all thought. Hahaha!
This linen tie-dye sweater is gorgeous! The other day, I posted on Instagram stories, and I was wearing a tie-dye sweater that was a couple of years old. I had purchased that sweatshirt from Victoria’s Secrets, and it was no longer available. Ladies started messaging immediately, wanting to know where I got the shirt. Tie-dye has emerged as one of this summers biggest fashion trends, and they were eager to see if they could grab the shirt for themselves.
This sweater is in stock, and it can be yours easily. I do want to warn you, though; this sweater is not a winter kind of sweater. It is very lightweight and thin, which is perfect for summer and early fall. I love wearing a sweater when I am working inside, and the air conditioner is on. I have decided that I am like my father, who is always cold since I freeze most of the time. When we went to our friends on the 4th, I took a light sweater with me because I knew that I would get cold. My EBF was in a tank top, and I was sitting there in a long-sleeved sweater. Lol! This sweater should be hand-washed and laid flat to dry, and I am wearing a medium which fits me perfectly.
I don’t have a lot of silver jewelry since gold is usually my go-to. The multi-strand metallic rope necklace caught my eye when I was shopping on Loft, and I ordered it on a whim. I am so glad that I did because it is gorgeous, especially in person. This necklace is so cool because it has a pull adjustment, which makes it easy to decide the length that I want. I paired it with the Rue silver cuff bracelet and the large Val silver hoops from Kendra Scott. I do like wearing gold and silver together, so I added the LOVE script necklace from The Styled Collection to my look. This necklace also comes in silver, but I am wearing gold today.
Like my jewelry, I don’t wear shoes that are silver very often. I wanted to wear silver shoes with an outfit (here), but I couldn’t find any in my closet. So, I quickly jumped online, and I found these silver sandals that I absolutely love! I love the double braided strap, and the color is the perfect silver metallic shade. I am wearing my usual size 9, and these fit great.
These mineral blue cropped jeggings look almost white in these photos, but they are actually a pale blue. The color on the Talbots website is a better representation of the color than these photos. I love the way these jeggings fit me, and the fact that they come in several different colors. I love wearing jeans, but I get tired of ONLY wearing jeans. So, pants like these give me some variety in my wardrobe. These jeggings are available in several different colors, including white, if that was the color that you were looking for. I have found that I need to size down when I buy pants from Talbots, so I am wearing a size 8 instead of my usual size 10, and they are the perfect fit.
