50 Is Not Old | What is a FrazzleA saying I use all the time is, “I am worn to a frazzle.” I have really been saying that this week. I am still recovering from having company for several days, a fashion show on Saturday, and party Saturday night. And now I am preparing to leave very early Wednesday morning and not return home till late Sunday night.50 Is Not Old | What is a FrazzleDragging my tail, or worn to a frazzle, you take your pick. Either way, it means I am TIRED!!! After working all day long, coming home and cooking supper, babysitting with Emersyn for an hour, ironing Joe some clothes to wear to a funeral while I am gone, writing this blog, I still have to pack. Yep, I haven’t packed yet. So this post may be short and sweet.50 Is Not Old | What is a FrazzleThis is what I wore to the Vintage Fashion Show on Saturday. I thought the pants gave that throwback look of the 70’s. They are quite colorful, and not for the faint of heart. I bought these last year when I went to a woman’s club convention. They are by Cha Cha Vente and I bought them at Stein Mart.

50 Is Not Old | What is a FrazzleThe jewelry is vintage that I have picked up for the past several years. These are plastics which were big in the 60’s and 70’s. I like plastic necklaces because they do not make my neck hurt.50 Is Not Old | What is a FrazzleThe bracelet is made of bright green lucite squares and lucite blue disc’s. They just match this outfit, you would think I had bought them together. When you have as much of the vintage stuff as I have, you can almost always find something to match.50 Is Not Old | What is a FrazzleThe cobalt cardigan is by Joan Rivers. I like the longer length of the cardigan. Anything that hides my tush is my friend.

I like this look, and I really like to wear this same look using white. That is probably a look that I might wear later this week, or next. This camisole is from Maurices.50 Is Not Old | What is a FrazzleI wore my Tommy Hilfiger sandals because I knew I would be doing a lot of walking. Normally I would probably wear heels, but sometimes you just have to go with comfort.

Just in case you were wondering, a frazzle means to wear to threads or shreds. That would be me. I am off to pack, and then I will have a 7 hour drive in front of me tomorrow.

Be sure to let me know what you think about my colorful look. I will look forward to reading your comments when I get to Williamsburg, VA. The GFWC Virginia Woman’s Club Convention is calling my name, it is time for me to go. See you later.

  1. Love the mix of greens and blues in this colorful outfit! I never get rid of my jewelry and still have many vintage lucite pieces from the 60s and 70s that I wear.

  2. Love your posts. The blue cardigan and tank really match those print pants. This is truly a wonderful outfit.

  3. just wondering about your comment that plastic doesn’t make your neck hurt. Since we make jewelry why does metal jewelry hurt your neck? just wondering.

    1. It is not that metal makes my neck hurt, it is that plastic is light. I wear lots of jewelry and prefer something that is not real heavy. However, if I like it enough, I will still wear it even if it is heavy. I bought a necklace this weekend that was huge stones, and it is heavy. I will probably only wear it when I am going out to dinner, etc.
