MOTHER’S DAY FLORAL AND AGELESS STYLE LINK-UP
Today is a first for me. I am going to be a Co-Host for a 40+ Link-up with eight other gorgeous ladies. We will be linking-up on the first Tuesday of every month. Today’s theme is Mother’s Day. This is a perfect theme for me today, since my mother just visited with me for a few days. She drove in from Tennessee, with her friend Donna, to put on a vintage fashion show for our woman’s club as a fundraiser event.
This is the 6th year we have hosted this event. Many of you know my love of vintage jewelry and purses, so this fundraiser is one that I adore. The fact that my mother gets to come spend a few days with me is the cherry on top of the sundae. I will post a couple pictures later on this week, the wonderful lady who took some pictures will be emailing them to me, and I will pass some of them along. I did manage to come home with a few treasures, even though it is getting harder and harder each year for me to find anything. I already own so much, how many red/black/blue/white etc., bead necklaces do you need?
The theme for today’s link-up is Mother’s Day with a shout out to floral. I do not usually go for florals, it has to be unusual for me to like it. I am just not the gurl who wears the romantic type outfits. I like them on others, but not on me. I have recently embraced lace as long as it is on the hem, but no ruffles, lace, and cutesy florals for me. What I liked about this dress was the cut. It helps to define a waist, which I do not have, by having a float away skirt. It is structured with the panels, which also makes the floral more abstract. This dress is by Robbie Bee and I think I bought it at Ross. That is where I buy most of my dresses. I don’t find a lot of other items there, but they always have the best prices on dresses.

The dress looks black and white, but it is actually navy and white. I decided to wear my navy G.I.L.I platform wedge espadrilles. Try saying that three times. Haha The gold chain makes these shoes look dressier, but you could still wear them with capris and shorts.
I almost always accessorize with yellow when I wear navy. My purse adds that pop-of-color to the outfit. The girls at work bought this purse for me a couple years ago for my birthday. It is by Nicole Lee, and according to Sandy (BFF), that is someone on Dancing with the Stars. It is a little more “sparkly” than most things I buy, but it has grown on me. Lol! I didn’t find any totes with the added bling, but I did find several that I liked and that would add some spice to any outfit.

My jewelry is simple today. I have on three stretch pearl bracelets and a Chloe & Isabel Pearl & Crystal drop necklace. The necklace was in my start-up kit when I signed up to sell Chloe & Isabel and I have worn it several times. You are probably tired of seeing it. If you would like to make a purchase from Chloe & Isabel and do not already have a merchandiser, please type my name in the “Find a Merchandiser” spot.
Be sure to check out all the other ladies who are participating in the link-up below.

Love the outfit….and I LOVE that bag!
Beautiful navy floral dress! It looks wonderful with your wedges and pretty yellow bag. I am also not a floral person and have very little of it in my wardrobe, so I totally get you on that point. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Beautiful dress! White and navy is so pretty together. Love your wedges, too. And the yellow bag goes perfectly with the outfit!

Hope to see you Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
What a fresh look for Spring and Mother’s Day. I adore navy and yellow together as well. You look fabulous my dear!
Absolutely love this outfit. The dress is perfect!
Love this look and I also wondered about he sweater, but see that it is from Cato’s. Thanks! How do you stay so trim? The older I get the harder it is to lose weight. My mother warned me, but I didn’t listen! ?
I love this dress. Going to have to go shopping! I look forward to reading your post each day. You make me smile.
The shoes and the purse scream MEEEEEEE! 🙂
Beautiful dress…. but Oh My gosh
THOSE SHOES ARE AHHHH!
I must get a pair of those shoes.
I’m happy to see that other bloggers are finding you and loving your style as much as we all do.
Thank you for your dedication to helping others.
?
LOVE this!!! ??
Great dress AND PURSE! I just bought a dress that shape in solid pink. It works for a lot of shapes.
I bet pink would be nice!!! I love pink.???
What fabric is your dress? It appears to flow more than the ones on the J.C. Penney site. A glimpse of the dress without the sweater would be good also. Wish there was an exact duplicate of your’s. You look amazing in this outfit. Perfect for you.
It is not a flowy material. It is actually fairly stiff, it just looks soft and flowy.
You look great. I want a pair of those shoes!
Love this look. I love dresses but can’t wear them good.
Love the dress! I’m in need of one for graduation. WooHoo! If you linked the sweater, I missed it. In need of that too. Thanks, Tania, love reading you everyday.
Rebecca, I thought about the sweater in the middle of the night. It is from Cato. Lol!
Thanks! Hope they still have it!
Hi Tania, so nice to be hosting a link-up wit you. I love this outfit and your blog in general – super nice!
Have a brilliant day,
Yvonne

Very pretty. Love the dress. You always look so put together. Do you use a sunless tanner? If so what kind?
