What I’m Predicting to Be the Top Trends of 2024
As we continue to head into 2024, it’s time to start thinking about the top fashion trends that we can expect to see in the months ahead. From new color trends to revamped aesthetics, the fashion world is always changing and evolving. Here’s what I’m predicting to be the top fashion trends of 2024. Let me know what you gurls think about them in the comments!
What I’m Predicting to Be the Top Trends of 2024
Peach and Apricot
First up, let’s chat about color trends! Pantone has announced their 2024 color of the year: Peach Fuzz. This warm, inviting color is sure to be everywhere in the spring of 2024, from dresses to handbags to shoes. Expect to see a lot of muted, pastel tones that reflect the changing seasons and, hopefully, some bold pinks and oranges moving into summer. I couldn’t find photos of me in true peach, so I have some shopping to do, gurls! What about you?

Bows on Everything
Another trend on the horizon is bows on everything, which is sometimes referred to as the coquette aesthetic or hyperfeminine style. This trend is all about embracing the girly side of fashion, with delicate bows and frills adorning everything from blouses to skirts to shoes. It’s a fun and playful trend that’s perfect for anyone who loves to experiment with different styles.

Preppy Styles
Back to prep is another trend that we’re expecting to see in 2024. Think striped button-downs, polo shirts, and academic blazers, all with a modern twist. This trend is all about embracing classic styles and making them relevant for today’s fashion scene. It’s a great way to add a touch of sophistication to your wardrobe without sacrificing comfort or practicality.

Grandpa Chic
Grandpa chic is another trend that’s gaining popularity, and we expect to see it take off in 2024. I don’t know about this one, gurls! I don’t think I need to borrow any fashion tips from elderly men, haha. This trend is all about embracing oversized silhouettes, chunky knits, and vintage-inspired pieces that are reminiscent of your grandfather’s wardrobe. It’s a fun and quirky trend that’s perfect for anyone who loves to experiment with different styles and push the boundaries of fashion, but I’m not sure it’s for me! I do love an oversized sweater and a good loafer, so maybe I can just embrace parts of it.

Sustainability and Thrifting
Finally, we have sustainability and thrifting. More and more people are becoming aware of the impact that fashion has on the environment, and we expect to see this trend continue to grow in 2024. From recycled fabrics to thrifting and upcycling, sustainable fashion is all about creating a more eco-friendly and socially responsible fashion industry. You can search for sustainable style on Nordstrom, and you will find items with an emblem that lets you know they meet that guideline. Here are a few examples.

80s vibes with bows? I love preppy chic, but peach isn’t me! Grandpa styles work for tall folks. Great suggestions though, thanks!
Womens-Clothing
I feel like I just got shot back to 1982, with the bows and the preppy look. Preppy and bows I don’t mind. Peach likes me but I don’t like peach! Grandpa styles are flattering if you’re tall and thin. On a short chunky person like myself, it’s not a great look. Thank you for all your suggestions!
Peach and muted colors are beautiful for the spring and summer. I don’t mind bows on shoes and jewelry. Grandpa style is not my favorite.
Tania,
Is there any color you can’t wear?
Lol! I like all colors as you can tell. Although, I’m not a huge fan of peach. 🍑
Love the peach color!
Thanks for the heads-up! This is so interesting!!! Love the peach fuzz color!🍑
Not a fan of peach colors and bow ties.
Love the peach color trend! Grandpa clothes~ not so much!
Love the peach color trend!
Agreed! Not on board with Grandpa Chic! Lol
I quite like some of these trends. The colour pallete could be a good one, I love Preppy, the Granda one is a maybe, really mot sure of the bows.
Will be interesting to see if these trends become big here in the UK.
I will be embracing the preppy look but certainly not the grandpa oversized look. Peach is a great color for me to wear so I will be searching for some peach items.
I tried to go to your survey, but Google was unable to send me the code I needed. Why are these things so complicated?
I hope you are right about the trends. I should purchase enough classic preppy clothes to last for the rest of my life. I love them and expect they will go completely OUT after being a trend. I will skip the grandpa thing. My husband has a closet full so it would be cheap, but I can’t imagine wearing his clothes!
Mary, I’m sorry you had issues with the survey. I sent the link to your email if you want to try it again.
Love the peach colors but could totally go without all the bows
I love bows on dresses and jewlry.
I’m already embracing the bow trend with bow earrings from Talbots! Love the navy blue ones with the pearls I bought last year.
I liked that one of the peach items you showed was quite pink. I can handle a pinker peach better that an orange one.
Love that peach top with the tassels! where can I find?!
That is an old top that I bought at a local boutique.
The preppy style will be easy. We have already done that before! The bows will be interesting. Small ones, maybe. No peach for me. And definitely no grandpa style.
Thanks for all your fun suggestions!
Most of these trends aren’t something I will embrace. Not a peach person, tired of oversized clothing, not a bow person. I do like the tailored clothing!
The preppy style will be easy. We have already done that before! Thanks for all your fun suggestions!
I have some shopping to do.
thank you for the style.
I love the peach fuzz color for 2024! And I love your helpful site with the classy, sharp styles and ideas you share. Thank you for your Christian-based messages in between the thoughtful posts that make us “older” women feel special and loved…God Bless you!
Me personally will not be wearing peach, definitely does not look good on me! No grandpa look either as anything oversize drowns me. Preppy look I can get behind and the bows will be a hit with me. Thanks for the info.
I like the peach and apricot colors but feel they wash me out. Do you have suggestions? Thank you and I do enjoy reading your emails!
Peach is not a color I’m fond of either. I’m going to try a handbag, and even a darker peach pair of pants worn with navy.
I love shopping at thrift stores! Great finds for a fraction of the cost.
So glad to see bows coming back! I feel like they are very classic and timeless! Thanks for sharing.
peach colors, love that! You look great in the blouse. I’m with you on grandpa chic, I’m not wanting to go that way.
Love the peach and apricot colors…. my colors! I use them often so nice to know that I will be ‘trendy’. It’s a no for the Grandpa look. I do like the preppy looks because they tend to look “pulled together”.
Love the peach and apricot colors…. my colors!
I like thrifting for better known brands in clothes and sustainability from stores like Nordstrom. Not sure I’m ready to try Grandpa style, but maybe I’ll look at the men’s section in my favorite resale shop. Never say never, right?
Thanks for the update. My favorite style is prep. It always has been. What is hard for me are some of the postings as I live in SW Florida. Please keeps the suggestions coming.
Love the peach and apricot – so pretty!
Love all your content Tania!!! Thank you!
I like the loafers but don’t think I could do the Grandpa option!
I love bows so that’s a good one for me but I cannot wear orange or anything that resembles peach so I will pass on that one.
The peachy/apricot color is one that looks good on all skin tones, in my opinion. I love to see it used for weddings and bridesmaid dresses for that reason. And I’m all about putting a bow on anything! Yay for us frilly girls, haha.
Do enjoy your blog. keep up the great work.
The peach top is way cute, but please, BOWS ?! Say it ain’t so!!
I do love that pretty peach color!
I used to use a lipstick with the name “Peach Fuzz!”. I even saw a display that still offered that same color. It was a nice coral shade.
I’d wear the peach color for pants or shoes but not close to my face. Not a good color for me at all.
Also not a bow person except maybe in my hair.
Love the preppy look. Especially the blazers. Great with jeans.
I’d completely forgotten about a pair of kitten heel pink shoes with a bow until I saw the black patent ones you featured. I try to shop my closet first, but then rewarded myself with the navy stripe shirt from J Crew outlet. It was an additional 60% off and was only $20! SCORE! thanks so much!
Grandpa Chic – made me chuckle. Love the peach tones – so fresh and pretty.
Thank you for helping me with the new trends. Can you please have some clothes that have 3/4 length sleeves. Thank you
Janet, I love a 3/4 sleeve, but I don’t normally style those until spring.
I like peach in home decor, but definitely not on my body. I get totally washed out. Give me hot pink!
Thanks for keeping us up to date on trends. I look best in bold colors, so I’m not sure how the peachy trend will work for me. I do think I can embrace the classic look. I haven’t owned a blazer in awhile. That may be my next purchase!
I’m loving that peach top you have on – Link to it???? Please and thank you!
Love your blog!
Patti, that tops is very old, and it was from a small boutique.
The colour peach does nothing for my ice cold skin tone so I will skip that one. I struggle with bows, I often find them too fussy for me. Grandpa chic agree with your words on that one. I starting working toward sustainability in my wardrobe last year and will continue. Finally, preppy when describing my style I often include that word. Love it. I don’t think it ever goes completely away but it has been so easy to find clothes lately Very happy. Great list. Thanks.
This might not be a good year for me. I don’t like peachy colors or bows, not too sure I want to wear Grandpa styles either! Ha ha
I don’t think I will like the Grandpa trend or the bows, but love the peach color.
Grandpa chic LOL! Peach fuzz is a little too washed out for me but I do like coral.
Thanks for posting about the coming trends! I’m with you about the Grandpa look. I can’t wear that and feel good but the younger crowd sure likes it.
Peach, coral, orange and blush are my worse colors!!!! Can you please post some pink finds. My skin is cool and light. Thanks.
The first peach blouse with the fringe. I don’t see a link for that? Can you put the link here?
That’s a very old top, and it was from a local boutique.
Love seeing blazers coming back. Always great with blue jeans.
I like all of them except the Grandpa Chic. LOL not for me!!
How do I purchase the peach top your wearing?!
It is at least 5 or 6 years old.
Thanks for adapting these trends to age appropriate items!
Love the peach and apricot finds! So pretty!
Not for me: Grandpa Chic (will only make me look larger and frumpy), not crazy about bows. I like casual classic. Peach is not really my color, maybe in accessories. I love your blog and enjoy reading it every morning.
I’m okay with peach. I already have preppy clothing. I’m not doing bows or grandpa stuff. As far as sustainable fabrics that’s okay but I won’t buy any recycled polyester at Walmart or Target. The sweaters I bought all pilled horribly. I will help by not buying so much. That’s my goal to low buy this year.
I love the color Peach! So glad it’s the ‘in’ color for 2024!!
I love the preppy style, but I think I can pass on the Grandpa chic! Cute name, though.
Lovely peach fuzz choices! I like the bows on everything! And I love preppy too!
I love peach and coral so I’m excited that it will be on trend this year. I think the peach dress you shared may become my Easter dress!
Fun to see new trends for the new year! I love peach/coral/ pink! I will be doing that one. I am a boxy silhouette and the over sized grandpa style will be terrible on me, so I won’t be doing that one. The bows! Sound cute, not sure I am a cute dresser, but maybe some earrings!
I hope you’re right about peach and apricot, as long as they are not too orange. I prefer more of a melon or coral tone. The rest of your suggestions are right up my alley, except the grandpa stuff. That sweater looks like you raided your husband’s closet, and I don’t find that flattering. My granddaughter can get away with that, but it hits too close to home for me😉
Where did you get the adorable monogram necklace in the first pic?
That is an old one from Plunder. I use to sell their jewelry, but the styles changed, so I quit.
I love the peach shirt you have on with the white trim at the bottom. Where can we get that one?
Exciting for the up coming year of styles! Thanks for the heads up!!!
The Bombas are incredible! I got a pair for Christmas and wear them all the time in the house. So soft and comfortable but also I feel safer on smooth surfaces because of the nubs on the bottom.
That’s what I’m feeling.
2024 could be a tough fashion year for me. I cannot wear peach/apricot. It is not a color I have ever been comfortable with. I am not a bow person period.
Great post, thanks for letting us know what is in for 2024.
While I like terracotta and muted peach, this tone seems harsh. Pass. Bows? Hard pass!!! Grandpa? Ah, NO! I like fitted clothes. Probably the only part of it I’d like is silk scarves and lapel stick pins you know the vintage accessories! I think preppy is the closest style to what I’d wear but I don’t like button down aspect. Too sterile.
Love the peach items. Will be cute for spring
I’m not too sure about peach, but I do love orange! I a!so love preppy and thrifting!!! Happy Thursday❤❤❤
Love the Peach, will Pass on the Bows, Preppy is ok, not crazy about the Grandpa Chic. This is just me.
Looking forward to Warmer weather!!
I do love the preppy look and I have always love anything with a bow on it. Esp. shoes!!
Glad to hear preppy is returning. I think that is what I am most comfortable in. After retiring 7 years ago from the banking industry I lost that style and went more casual.
I’m liking the peach fuzz 👀
The apricot color is so pretty and feminine. And, oh how I love bows!!
Especially on shoes. You showed some very cute shoes. The grandpa look is not for me as I prefer a more feminine look.
Wow…trends all over the place! 🍑 👨🏻🦳 🎀
Definitely not grandpa chic! Not happening!
Peach is not my color, I do better with pink and purple. Loved the blue v neck cardigan from Nordstrum but the reviews were terrible!
Love all the trends for spring 2024. Peach has been Mia for a while! And bows are so cute. And I’ve always loved preppy. And I’m a grandma so grandpa is not far behind.
Awesome post today. Has be hoping for an early spring!
I like a little bit of every trend. Can’t remember the last time I saw peach in a store. This could be interesting!
I love preppy and peach so i am excited about these trends. The bows are okay on some things but can be overwhelming as can the grandpa chic, especially on petites.
Definitely think I will have to pass on the peach/apricot trend – that color family does not work at all with my skin tone. And I can’t see putting on a pair of pants or shoes that color! But maybe I’ll incorporate it in some spring decor in my home. I’m so glad the prep/classic trend is coming back – definitely my thing! And a big NO to the Grandpa clothes – I don’t need any extra bulk. Thank you for sharing these trends with us!
Amy, peach isn’t my color either. But, now I’m taking this as a challenge. Lol! Just wait, I bet you’ll like what I come up with.
I agree with you no peach anything for me lol 😆 I even decorate my home in cool tones. I don’t wear the Grandpa trend. I guess I’m more a classic girl. I never buy muted tones. It’s going to be a interesting year!
I love this color! I think it looks good on everyone.
I love peach and coral colors and wear them often. I’m not into trends…only what I like in my clothing and home furnishings. If we followed the trends we would change our furniture and clothing several times a year. Bows will never be on me!
Peach is not a good color for me but adding white with it really brightens It up. And the brown sweater in the Grandpa Mode is fabulous!
Just ordered my Bombas slippers too! Can’t wait to try them – my feet are always cold!
I hope you’re wrong about the bows and Grandpa looks trending! Not the looking I’m going for as an over 50 professional.
I agree about the Grandpa Chic! Kind of a cute name though😀
I may just embrace the peach. It usually looks good with a little tan.
I am in luck, I live with a grandpa who wears his clothes too big (INMHO)! Agree with you about that trend – not for me🤠. I do love the peach and hope I can find a coolish tone peach – you are glowing in the photo wearing peach- very becoming.
I love the peachy colors and the bows. Grandpa chic? Hmmm…not so much.
Glad to hear that the preppy fashion trend is returning. That’s always been my style, even when it didn’t seem to be trending. Love me some stripped button downs with blazers.
As always, thanks for the great post, Tania. Enjoy the bombas.
I just recently signed bio for your emails. Love it. Thank you for sharing the information.
Peach is not my color so I am hoping for some more pink tones as well! And grandpa chic is not for me!
I am glad to see what 2024 has in store for us. Thank you.
I am looking forward to these trends! I love bows and preppy clothes. I did the grandpa trend many years ago in college and I’m not sure if I need to bring that one back into my wardrobe.
Great peach color, I will need to shop too!
The trends for 2024 are very interesting. Preppy style clothing is not my style and I’m not sure about the bows. As much as I like wearing Peach colored clothing, it does not compliment me since I don’t get a tan (faux or natural). It will be interesting to see which trends really take off, specifically in my area.
Or, how good I am at predicting. Lol!
I love peach and apricot. Can’t wait to try some new tops. Love that Dreubea tote style bag.
Me too. The color of that tote is Dark Salmon.
Fashion is so odd. I will be leaving the peach behind unless it’s an accessory. The grandpa trend. Oh my! If you are not thin it just makes us look even bigger. Classics I love! Can’t go wrong with these. They carry well season to season. As you have all ways told us fashion is subjective to our own likes and dislikes. I appreciate a look into up coming trends. You do the hard work and we get to read it. Thank you.
Connie, peach isn’t my color either. But, like you said, I can incorporate it with pants or accessories.
Amazon has an AMAZING selection of bows you can pin on anything! I just bought four!
I hadn’t thought about that. I’ll have to check it out.
I can wear a coral colored lipgloss, thats about it when it comes to coral and peach tones as it never complimented my skintone. A spring bag in coral would be a nice change, but I wear what I feel suits me and makes me feel good.
Let us know what you think of the Bomba slippers. Thank you
I have them on again this morning. They are very warm and snuggly.
Peach is one of my best colors, so YAY!! I have several pieces from Talbots from past years, so I am ahead of the game.
Preppy……I have that covered too! I never gave it up. I was in a hospital yesterday and the nurse and I were chatting. I said I was a retired teacher, she said, I could tell, by how you are dressed. NERD 101, I guess.
Bows- I remember the Bow blouse with dress pants from my working years. I think they are very feminine.
Grandpa style- NO thank you.
Have a great day!
Lol! NERD 101, that made me snicker.
I’ve always liked peach/apricot but no orange thank you! Bows can stay back where they were, maybe in the 80’s I think? It seems preppy has really never gone completely out. It’s just classic pieces.
I love the balance of all the things you blog about.
Thanks, I appreciate your letting me know.
I’m ready for pretty spring colors!!!
Me too, but peach has never been my color.
