WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A T-SHIRT MARRIES A BUTTON DOWN
Some of you might have seen (here) where I talked about a refrigerator that we had quit working, and all of the food that we had inside it ruined. That refrigerator was on the outside, under a covered area by the pool, so we didn’t catch that it has quit working until it was too late. It was a stinking and expensive blunder on our part. Today, we had a new freezer delivered, but we didn’t want to put it outside like the last one. We are smart enough not to make the same mistake twice! Lol!
Now came the problem of where we were going to put the new freezer. Joe wanted to put it in my dining room, but I nixed that idea. Then, he wanted to put it in the utility room where the other one is, but with the two of them in the room, we wouldn’t have enough space to walk. So, finally, it ended up being put in my new office. I placed it behind the door, so it isn’t in the way, but it is loud when it comes on. There are some pros to having it in my office. I’ll be able to see that it is working so that we don’t lose all of our food like before, and the best things are…I’ll be able to eat ice cream any time I want, and no one will know the difference. Lol! #silverlining
Yesterday, (here) I had on a cute chevron striped top, and I said that I couldn’t find the link. Sue had eagle eyes, and she found the link, so I thought that I would share that with all of you. The top comes in navy also, but both colors are very limited in sizes. Here is the link to the top, and I am sorry that I couldn’t find it last night.
I have another outfit to show you, maybe tomorrow, but once again, I can’t find the link to the top. I may have to put Sue on the payroll to see if she can locate my links for me. Lol! Today’s top IS on the website, and you are going to be thrilled that I found the link for you. This item is when your favorite knit t-shirt marries a button-down shirt, and they have a little one. Haha! This knit button-down is so incredibly soft, but it looks dressy(ish) at the same time. The top does come in a darker sage color, but I liked the lighter gray for spring and summer. I am wearing a size medium in the top, and it fits perfectly and does not cling. Here is the link to the top.
For those times, when you need to look more professional, then you could add a blazer or a cardigan. I love wearing navy with gray, but it would also look great with deep green, pink, red, black, white, etc. The top is a great neutral, so the options on what to wear with it are endless. This is an older knit blazer, so I will link some others that I found for you instead.
If you prefer wearing a cardigan instead of a blazer, then here are some options that would be great for you.
Some of you might have noticed that flare jeans usually run longer than skinny jeans. This pair has a 33” inseam, but there is a petite option if that will be way too long for you. They are making the flare jeans longer so that they can be worn with the platform shoes. Think back to the 70s, and you get the idea. Here is the link to the Natalie jeans, and do yourself a favor, get these jeans!
The yellow espadrilles that I am wearing are a pair of from Michael Kors that are at least 5-8 years old. I wasn’t sure that I would ever wear a yellow pair of shoes, but I find myself wearing them all of the time. I looked and looked for some cute yellow shoes for you gurls; I hope you like them.
