WHAT ARE COLORS FOR A SPRING LOOK

Guess what??? I got up this morning, and sure enough, the sun came up again today. Lol! My point is, the sun is going to keep coming up every day, and even though we might have a different schedule than we had before, we are still so fortunate. I am going to apologize if you are not a full glass kind of person because I am going to spout sunshine all over you this morning. Everything is not rainbows and unicorns, but it is not sawdust, and manure either. So, let’s concentrate on the positives and start the morning off with a proper mindset.
Who woke up? Yep, that is a huge positive in my book!!! Did you have a warm house, and did the electricity turn on the lights? Woohoo!!! I enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, even if it was black with no creamer or sugar. Yuck! My internet was working, and I enjoyed a peaceful morning listening to a sermon. Did you internet work? It must have if you are reading this. Lol! I am doing Intermittent Fasting, so I don’t eat until 2:00 pm, but Joe enjoyed a big breakfast of scrambled eggs and buttered toast. Is your belly full, or do you have a well-stocked refrigerator?

I guess you have already gotten the idea of what I am saying. We are not walking around with a rain cloud over our heads; we are just going through a stormy period. Get out your umbrella when you have to venture outside the home, but continue to count your blessings. The sun will shine again, and a beautiful rainbow is waiting for us once this storm passes. ? ?
A simple white t-shirt will be your go-to item all spring and summer long. I usually try to order a new t-shirt every year to make sure that they look white and fresh. I have ordered a couple this year, one from Target (here) that is a v-neck, and one from J.Crew Factory (here) that is a crewneck. The one that I have on in this photo is an older one that has a stain (you can’t see it in the pictures), and that is why I order a new one each year. Lol! I ordered a large in both t-shirts because I want to make sure that they are roomy and that I don’t feel self-conscious when wearing them without a jacket/cardigan.
I love this versatile ruana. The colors of this ruana grabbed my attention immediately. I love that it is so colorful, but it is also soothing. The color palette is perfect for spring and summer, and I can see wearing this ruana as a bathing suit coverup this year. I might not get to wear it at the beach, but I can still wear it here at the house. Plus, I think that this will look gorgeous with shorts this summer or a pair of jeans. On the website, they have it styled with a chambray shirt and jeans, and it looks so relaxed and casual.

You don’t’ have to worry about picking the wrong size since it is a one-size-fits-all garment. It is also machine washable, so it is my kind of item. Here is the link to the poncho/ruana.
I wanted to show you these wedge ankle booties, so I cuffed these pants, but I usually would have left them uncuffed. These are the so slimming girlfriend crops from Chico’s, and I love this color of coral. I didn’t order the pants to match the ruana, but they look great together! I am wearing a size 1 (8) in these pants, but they are too big on me. I have found that I need to wear a smaller size when I order the girlfriend or boyfriend jeans. I prefer the fit to be a little snugger, so I sent these back, but they were out of the next size down. These crops do come in a couple of other colors; you can check them out by clicking here.

My wedge sneakers are a pair that I bought back in November. They are by Linea Paolo, and I love how comfortable they are to wear. I throw them on with almost everything, including little swing dresses. That is a super cute look! You can find this style bootie almost everywhere now and in a lot of different prints. I’ve seen camo, leopard print, metallics, etc. in this style boot.
