WEARING TIE-DYE AFTER 50
I am so glad that it is finally Friday! It is payday, so that helps, and for once I don’t think I have a bill waiting with its hand out. Lol! I love it when all the bills have been paid and this is just “free” money. I may have to go to the bank and put it in a savings account. If any of you believed that, you need to contact me because I have some swamp land for sale. Haha!
When Ashleigh and Joseph were young they were so different when it came to money. I tried to teach them, not very successfully, how to manage their money. So I would give them a set amount of money and take them shopping. Ashleigh would spend EVERY penny and even talk Joseph into letting her borrow some of his. Joseph wouldn’t buy a thing, he said he didn’t need it enough to part with his money. He already had one truck or a shirt or a pair of pants, and that was all he needed. They are now 27 and 29 and their money traits are still pretty much the same. My daughter will spend and sometimes overspend, and Joseph hardly ever buys anything. At least Ashleigh will work several jobs to earn her money even if they are jobs like scorekeeping and refereeing for ballgames.
I bought this tie-dyed top at a boutique in Coronado Beach while I was in California. The brand name is LOVESTITCH. I loved the slouchy comfortable style and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was coming home with me. I wore this for the flight back to Atlanta because of the comfort level. Did I tell you that I got patted down at the airport? I went through the metal detector, holding my hand’s above so that it could scan. The man told me to put my necklace around to the back and stand still. Then he said for me to go ahead and leave. I started to go pick up my purse and a lady told me to hold up. Then she made me hold my hands up while she patted me down. My sister was scrambling to grab her cell phone out and take a picture. Lol!
I am carrying my Emma Fox black purse. I am an Emma Fox fan!!! I will warn you though that these are heavy purses. Even with nothing in them, they weight quite a bit. I used to buy my Emma Fox purses at TJ Maxx but I haven’t seen one there lately.
It is time for another giveaway. I have lost time of how long I have been doing the blog, so that means it has been a while. Lol! I started on 09-06-15 and I try to do a small giveaway around this time of every month. Today’s giveaway is the Cecelia necklace, the Dalia bracelet, and the matching earrings which I have forgotten the name of. lol! Here is where I wore them (you get a new set) in a post a week or so ago. Leave a comment about what you like about 50 Is Not Old. I am not trying to pat myself on the back, I am working on a media kit and I would love to include some comments from my readers. I will announce the winner on Wednesday next week.
PLEASE take the time to signup. Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.

I love the colors you wear. Always bright and beautiful. Thank you for teaching me that I didn’t have a dress a “certain way” because I was over 50. Love your blog!
I love your blog and I love those jeans! Where did you find them? The entire outfit is great. Thanks for the inspiration.
Your styles are for us over 50. You aren’t styling clothes for 20-30 year olds. And your clothes are very stylish.
You are real with your posts. Nothing too fancy or designer. That is why I am such a fan.
Love your blog. Have you heard of Tieks by Gavrieli? They are extremely comfortable; pricey to worth the money.
Love this top and the colors in it. Very pretty! I really enjoy your blog too! You’re outfits give me great ideas to to use out of my own closet and I really love your insight on you Sunday posts. They always seem very timely!
I started to follow you as I am 63 yrs old and have decided to let my gray hair grow out. I am still in the work force and find your ideas on fashion very helpful to keep up with the times and have a youthful but age appropriate look. Thanks for your wonderful take on 50 is not old. Cheryl Hovaldt.
I love your blog because you are really down to earth and shop at affordable places compared to the other fashion bloggers. Keep up the good work!
I just turned 54 on April 1, and just recently found your blog/pictures on Pinterest. The pictures are exactly what I’ve been wanting to find. I do not want to wear clothes that are too young, and your blog and ideas are great for my taste. Your blog addresses alot of things that I often think about (i.e. the one on comparison was right on point). Thank you for taking the time to do what you do.
I have never commented before, and this is NOT just because of the giveaway! I truly do want everyone to know that there are some silent fans out there, who very quietly wait for your posts every day, and LOL at your LOL’s! I love that you make fun of yourself, something I do, too, and are just like us! I get the feeling that if we ever met we would be friends.
