50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACKYesterday was one of those days where you seem to work and work and get nothing done. I left home with two things that I wanted to get accomplished at work. Mind you I said just two things but guess how many things I got done? NONE! I worked all day on one task and still didn’t get it finished. I can hardly wait for tomorrow. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACKI feel like life is like that sometimes. I seem to chase my tail and I never can catch it. The issue today was brought on by the new software. It was implemented in the middle of the month so half of my work is on one system and the other half is on the other. I spend three times the effort to get anything done right now. I keep telling myself that things will get easier and eventually work out but there are days when it really stresses me out. By the end of the day, I was ready to pull my hair out. Lol!

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CICwZ01bT3w[/embedyt]50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACKI wore this dress earlier this year. I loved this dress by Halston so much that I even went back and bought it in yellow. This dress fits like a dream. It has some spandex in it so it fits snug but it doesn’t cling. So it drapes nicely but it doesn’t show my belly bumps. The high low hem line is wonderful and usually flattering. I say usually because I don’t care for the shoes with this outfit. Lol!
50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACK I almost didn’t wear this set because it was so much color. I thought that maybe I should just wear something a little more sedate. When I put this set on though I just loved the effect so I decided to see what you all thought about it. Yay or Nay? The earrings are called Emily. They have a light yellow crystal and then the muted pink cloth dangles. 50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACKThe necklace is called the Jenna and it has the same cloth dangles. The stones on this necklace are an assortment of different colors so this will look great with anything. For some reason, I keep thinking how cute it would look with a denim shirt. Don’t forget the great Plunder sign on incentive that is going on right now. You sign on for 99.00 and you get 9 pieces of jewelry and all the supplies you will need to operate your business and until the end of the month, they are gifting you an additional 7 pieces of jewelry and a tote. My Plunder website is www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens 50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACK The different bracelets I have on are by Alex and Ani. You can see the gold one on the right that I added while I was in Alaska. It is a whale fluke and it has ALASKA written on it. I LOVE my Alex and Ani bracelets and have become a tad bit obsessed. Lol! I blame Rodan and Fields for this and you will find out why in a few more days. Haha! 50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACK Okay, these shoes are some that I thought I liked but instead, not so much. I loved the color when I bought them but I have tried to wear them a couple of times and I haven’t liked them yet. They match what I have on but they don’t do anything for the outfit. Black would have been the better choice but I wore black shoes the last time I wore this dress and I wanted to do something different.50 IS NOT OLD | WEARING BRIGHT COLORS WITH BLACKAt least I was bright and colorful, imagine how I would have felt if I had been in only black or gray. Color does help my mood, well at least most of the time. Haha! I bought this adorable kimono while I was in Alaska. Ashleigh and I went to get pedicures and they had a little boutique in the shop. It would have been rude not to have shopped just a little since they went to the trouble of putting it in the shop. (Joe didn’t buy that excuse either ?) The kimono is by Umgee, a brand that I buy a lot of items from. They had three of these in the shop when I got there and before we left they were sold out, they went that fast. I bought the small/medium size and it is PLENTY big. I like these kimono’s to wear as bathing suit cover-ups also and this one will match almost anything. Lol!

Ooh, love the colors in the topper and the necklace. Nice look!

I love the outfit and kimono, and the jewelry. Definitely not in favor of the shoes, now they would probably go better with Denim, and black would have been a better chose in sandals.
The kimono is great, makes one feel joyful and a with a spring in your step!! And Joe just didn’t understand the obligation you had to browse and buy from that shop. The clothes are there for you and customers, definitely obligated.. LOL (my husband would not have agreed with that either! 😉

    1. I wasn’t a fan of the shoes either, Jeanne. I almost turned my ankle in them also and that would have really HURT! Ouch!!!

  3. I love the pop of color over the black dress, and I think the necklace is perfect with the outfit. I gave to agree about the shoes though. I wonder if maybe even a different style in a color?

I love the outfit! The jewelry is beautiful! But, like you, I don’t like the shoes!!

I love this kimono on you. My daughter and I were discussing kimonos one day and we decided they were great on everybody, but us. I just look bad in them, but they sure are cute on you. My personal opinion (which means nothing) I love all of the outfit, but I would ditch the earrings and shoes. Love all pieces, but maybe not all together. I’m pretty conservative about adding accessories though. You look BEAUTIFUL!
