WHAT TO WEAR WHEN YOU FEEL INVISIBLE
Thank you for commenting on Saturday’s post and for the side dish recipes. I already tried one with cucumber and tomatoes, it was delicious. I am serious when I say that I need to drop 20 pounds but I want to do it in a healthy way. I have tried low carb, vegetarian and vegan, clean eating, and a host of other diets. I loved each one and I lost weight on each one. I am looking for something that will stay with me for more than a couple of months. I want something that will become a lifestyle and not a diet.
I need inspiration, I need a challenge, I need a chef and a trainer. I can provide room and board if you are up for the job. Lol! One of my main concerns is energy. I am already on thyroid medicine and a thyroid condition can make you tired so I need my food to energize me. I am not opposed to supplements, I just don’t know what really works. Feel free to comment below what you use, why you use it, and what experiences you have had with the products.
I used to love wearing pink but it seems like here lately that I hardly ever pick this color. When I do wear pink I have noticed that I choose the brighter pinks instead of the lighter color. Maybe as I got older I thought I needed help being seen. Sometimes we feel invisible as we age but with this color, you will certainly be noticed. Lol! I just noticed that this entire outfit, except for the purse and shoes, is from Cato Fashions. I love this little cute two layered top. The only draw back is that it is spaghetti strap and it is little shorter than I really like.
The jacket is not an expensive one. I knew that this was going to be an item that I would not wear often so I didn’t see any reason to buy one that would last me for ages. I look upon trends also in this way. I will spend more money on something that I know I will wear more than one or two seasons. If it is a classic item that can be worn multiple times then I will splurge. I like nice things just like everyone else. A black, white, or navy jacket would be worth the splurge while this hot pink or bright orange might not be. It really all depends on the person doing the purchasing.
Today is the last day in July. This is the LAST day to take advantage of my Christmas in July specials with Rodan + Fields. It has been a wild month in my Rodan + Fields business! I love love this outfit! Its so classy and becoming. You look beautiful in every color but this is one of my favs. As for diets Im eating the diabetic diet – its sensible chucken, fish and lots of green veggies w a little fruut and nuts. No sugar or bread. Boring but have lost 10 lbs in 2 wks. Why cant bread and butter and Mexican and pizza be calorie free!

You are definitely pretty in pink! I have to echo what a lot of the ladies are saying about Weight Watchers. I joined when I had my second son 15 years ago and lost 40 pounds. Then I left. I tried several other diets including the Whole 30 and a juice diet that my husband and I gave up on before the day was over. I just returned to Weight Watchers about a month ago and have lost 13 pounds so far. The app makes it so easy to track what you eat. We no longer have to write everything down. I love that we can eat what we want, just in moderation. Best wishes to you in whichever plan you decide to go with!
I am also on a thyroid medication Tania. I recently lost 35 pounds. Weight Watchers is how I did it. It’s not a diet it’s a way of living and eating healthy. It’s taught me alot and it lets me and my body know what I need. I suggest if you haven’t ever tried it, to do so. My friend did it with me and she lost over 50 pounds as well. It’s a way of life. We both reached our goal weight over a year ago. It doesn’t limit what you have to eat. You can have anything you just have to count it and be aware. If I want to go out to eat I make healthier choices. I still eat that piece of cake and a cookie every once in awhile but it’s about the quantity and portion control. Good luck.

I don’t have a thyroid problem so I can’t help with suggestions for supplements but I do think keeping a journal of foods will help you track those that make you feel up and those that sap your strength. I use “my fittness pal” on my phone and it helps me keep focused on eating 3 meals a day, encourages me to stick to portions and it is like a game so fun to stick to—my favorite part is at the end of the day I complete my log and it tells me where I will be weight wise in 5 weeks, if I keep eating like I did that day. You can also notate how you feel that day so you could keep tabs on which days you feel full of energy and which you don’t . Log what foods you ate , what cadence of meals and even supplements you are trying to get a picture of what works best for you. Hey Tania! My daughter lost about 30 lbs just doing her own thing. It has been about 6 months since she started. !. First, she uses My Fitness Pal App on her phone to keep track of every single thing she eats and drinks. 2. She doesn’t buy any junk food. 3. She eats “something’ every 2 hours to keep from getting hungry. 4. She keeps plenty of healthy snacks nearby. For example, fruit and a lot of the low fat bars that you can grab n go. 4. Plenty of grilled or baked chicken and fish 5. Nothing fried …She pretty much used common sense and took it one day at a time. The fitness pal app is a lifesaver because it keeps you accountable. I just started it too so you’re not alone!
