I no longer work in a corporate setting, and I spend most of my days in my office at my house. I’ve started wearing more casual styles, and in the summer months, I dress even more casually. Today, I’m styling three casual outfits from Nordstrom Made Brands that you can wear all summer long.
T-Shirt and Linen Pants
In the summer, I love wearing a short sleeve t-shirt. This V-Neck Printed T-Shirt is gorgeous, and I love the colors. You can wear this top with jeans, white, yellow, etc., and it will look so cute. I love the deep v-neck which features the raw hem trend. This shirt is only $19, and comes in lots of different colors. I’m wearing a large which is the size I usually order for t-shirts.
Instead of going with the colors that I mentioned above, I decided to add these Green 100% Linen Pull-On Pants. I love wearing jeans, but I find myself reaching for linen clothing in the summer months. Linen is known for wrinkling, so don’t expect these pants to stay pressed looking. These linen pants are great for a casual every day or weekend style. I’m wearing a medium in these, and I think they fit a tiny bit large, so if you are in-between sizes, you might want to size down. The linen pants come in a couple of other colors if you are not a fan of green.
I added a pair of Slide Sandals in Ivory that has a knot detail. The knot detail is super cute, but I found it a little uncomfortable when I was walking. I like the pair I’m showing you later in this post better than this pair. I’m wearing my usual size 9, and they run TTS.
There are times when you need to be more dressy, but you still want a casual and comfortable outfit. This is a great dress/casual look that would be perfect for a BBQ, Spring or Summer Wedding, or a Shower.
This is the same Short-Sleeve V-Neck T-Shirt as the printed one above, but this one is Blue Cornflower. It features the same raw-hem v-neck and a small pocket on the chest. The material is a cotton blend, and it is so soft against my skin. I am wearing a large tee, and it fits me great. I like the relaxed look, and I don’t like my tee to fit too tight.
To dress up the outfit, I added a third piece to the look. The White Pima Cotton Crewneck Cardigan is an essential item for Spring and Summer. A white cardigan goes with everything, and I use it to add a little warmth or to cover my arms. The cardigan is soft, and features a 3/4 length sleeve. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me great.
I love this Linen-Blend Striped Midi Skirt! It is perfect for brunch or any event where you want to be comfortable and casual, but still, look put together. The skirt has an elastic waistband in the back for comfort, but the front is flat. This skirt is lightweight, and I love how it flows in the wind. I’m wearing a medium, and the fit is perfect for me.
Espadrille wedge shoes are my go-to for Spring and Summer. I don’t think you can ever have too many espadrille shoes, and I have them in several colors. These Beige Espadrille Wedge Heels are a great neutral color, and I like the darker strap that goes across your foot. I did think these ran at least a half size too big, so I would suggest sizing down.
Navy and White for a Nautical Look
Navy and white stripes are one of my favorite color combinations. This classic look is timeless and can be dressed up or down. It looks crisp and clean and is fabulous for Spring and Summer.
I love the Ballet Neck Elbow Sleeve Tee. The navy and white stripes are exactly what I was looking for, and I can see wearing this top with a denim jacket or a cardigan. However, I messed up when I ordered the top, and ordered a medium. I almost always order a large when I order t-shirts, and I will have to send this one back because it shows more of my lumps and bumps than I want.
I probably own fifteen pairs of white pants, but that doesn’t stop me from ordering more of them. White jeans and chinos are something that I wear all year long, not only for Spring and Summer. Some of you may not wear white until after Memorial Day, so you only have a few more days left before you can start wearing this summer staple. I’m wearing a Stretch Cotton Chino Pant that is comfortable and has plenty of stretch to them. When I order white jeans or pants, I usually order one size up, so I’m wearing a size 10 instead of an 8. They are a little large on me, but I prefer them that way. These chinos are available in other colors, and I would order my usual size 8 for those.
This is the Ivory Slide Sandal that I mentioned earlier in this post. They are very comfortable, and perfect for on-the-go ease. They will look great with shorts, or a sundress, and the color will match anything. They run true to size, and I’m wearing my usual size 9.

Everything I’m wearing today can be purchased at Nordstrom, and with their free shipping and free returns, it is super convenient. I love trying on clothing in the privacy of my home, but I hate paying for shipping and returns. That is just one reason I love shopping at Nordstrom; it never costs me anything to try new clothing styles. Nordstrom also offers BOPUS (Buy Online Pick Up in Store) and contactless curbside pickup options.
