Think on All Things Beautiful
Finding Beauty in Everyday Moments
Have you ever had a moment where something simple took your breath away? My sister and I were driving to my parent’s house one day, passing a quiet pasture. The wind was blowing, and the uncut hay swayed gracefully in the breeze. It was so peaceful and beautiful and a reminder to think on all things beautiful.
The lyrics from America the Beautiful: “Amber waves of grain,” played in my mind as I kept driving. Moments like that make me stop and think: there is so much beauty all around us. Do we ever pause to take it in? We need to train our minds to see the beauty, even in the smallest things, instead of focusing on the negative.
Evil Has Always Existed, But So Has Beauty
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when the news is full of tragedy and bad news. Maybe you’ve noticed it lately, too—it feels like evil is everywhere. The truth is that evil has always existed, even since biblical times. The Bible reminds us in Ecclesiastes 1:9 that “there is nothing new under the sun.”
The world has always had its darkness, but here’s the good news: it’s also filled with beauty. There are moments of joy, peace, and wonder all around us if we take a moment to see them. As we continued our drive, I noticed the sunlight dancing on the road through the trees. We were greeted by beautiful wildflowers on the side of the road, and later that night, a gorgeous sunset put on a show. They were great reminders to think on all things beautiful.
You Have the Mind of Christ
1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.
Even with all the evil in the world, we don’t have to dwell on it. Jesus offers us something far better—His mind. Can you imagine that? The same mind that created the stars, the sunsets, and the seasons is offered to you and me.
That mind of Christ is pure, filled with love, and untouched by the troubles of this world. When you feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges, take comfort in this: you can focus on the good, true, and beautiful things in the world because you have the mind of Christ.
Take a moment today to look around and notice something beautiful in your life. Maybe it’s something small, like a smile or a flower. The Lord created the entire world just for us, so thank God for His goodness.
Let’s end with a prayer:
Lord, thank you for offering us your mind. Help me to focus on the beauty around me, even when evil and darkness feel overwhelming. Teach me to rely on your wisdom, not my own. May my thoughts be filled with your goodness and love. Help me to remember that in you, there is no darkness at all. Amen.
Thank you for this wonderful post! 🎉🙏🏻😊❤️🇺🇸
I love all of your posts but especially your Sunday ones! Sometimes I do feel like the world is nothing but evil, then I will see or hear the beauty as well. Your corn field was a perfect site of God’s beauty! Many blessings! How’s mom?
Mom is doing soooo good. She’s not having any real pain, and she’s doing all her exercises.
Yes. The birds are singing this morning, and it has rained so much lately that even the tiny tree frogs are singing. Beauty all around.
Taking a few moments to be still and listen to nature is so calming.
Good word this morning, Tania. It’s too easy to focus on the negativity but if we just make the effort to focus on the beautiful things, we can find His peace. Thank you for these weekly insights and inspiration. I appreciate them!

Soooo much beauty in nature
Good morning!
I have been following you for some time now and love everything you do and say. Today your words were especially needed. I’ve been having difficulty explaining to my 16 yr old daughter how and why evil does exist but we have the power to “think of all things beautiful” she has been looking for Gods guidance and seeing the beauty he gives to us daily.
Thank you for always be a constant inspiration for fashion but more importantly my sole.
God bless you and I look forward to your future words of wisdom ❤️
Have a beautiful day❤️
Christina, it is fabulous that you are training your daughter to look for the good. There has been, and will always be terrible people. But, there has been and always will be good people too. We don’t need to dwell on the negative, especially if we can’t change it.
I like how you think, I walk outdoors everyday and thank our Lord for the beautiful birds, their songs, beautiful trees, grass and the sky. It doesn’t matter what the weather is, God’s world is beautiful everyday.
I agree with you!
