The Ultimate Guide To Wearing Boots with Jeans

I feature a lot of jeans on this blog because they are such a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. I practically LIVE in jeans. Now that it’s fall, it’s time to do a boot check. Do you have the right boots for the jeans that you live in? If you aren’t sure, don’t worry. Today, I’m giving you the ultimate guide to wearing boots with jeans!

The Ultimate Guide To Wearing Boots with Straight-Leg Jeans

When wearing straight-leg jeans, you don’t want to add any extra bulk to your ankles. Low profile booties are the perfect answer!

How cute are these? I love the cutout sides and the zippered heel. These are so darling and available from WALMART! The heel height isn’t listed, but they aren’t too high and should work for most anyone.

Another great option from Walmart! These look very chic, and they’re available in several other colors like black, blue, and orange. Sidenote: I appreciate that Walmart just tells it like it is. No “ebony, morning mist, and sunset” for them when it comes to colors. lol

The Ultimate Guide To Wearing Boots with Boyfriend Jeans

Boyfriend jeans tend to be a bit baggier. They still look great with ankle booties, but you can pair them with broader and higher-profile types. Because boyfriend jeans tend to be more masculine, I also like the idea of pairing them with higher heels or more feminine booties.

Talk about feminine! You can’t go wrong with a pair of hot pink, high heel boots. Not in my world, anyway. Guess where they are sold? If you said “Walmart”, you’re correct! If pink isn’t your style, they also come in black, coffee, and a host of others.

These beauties are a little more upscale, and the price reflects that. They are real leather and have a memory foam insole, and I love the strap detailing. These are available at Talbots. They also have black but are already out of some of the sizes in that, so if you want them you should act fast.

The Ultimate Guide To Wearing Boots with Bootcut Jeans

Bootcut jeans go with a lot of different styles of boots. I love Pointy toe shoes and boots, but rounded and elongated-toe boots look great too.

I mean, really. Look at these amazing boots from Chico’s. They are available in black and brown, but I think the gold tone, hammered heel shows up better against the darker black. They are definitely a statement pair of booties!

For those of you who like more traditional boots, these chunky-heeled booties look great. They are casual boots and could be worn just about anywhere. Available from Amazon and under $50 dollars!

The Ultimate Guide To Wearing Boots with Skinny Jeans

Because of how tight skinny jeans are, you can wear them with everything from low ankle boots to over the knee thigh high boots. Skinny jeans are starting to come on the scene again, and I wear them in the fall since they are so easy to wear with boots.

Sometimes you need a dressy boot to elevate your look. I linked to these boots recently when I blogged about my favorite fall boots. They come in solid colors as well as these two-toned, and they are only $35 dollars!

Of course, skinny jeans are made for tall boots! These would be amazing with jeans and a fall blazer. They’re available in black, brown, and dark brown. 🙂

I recently bought these waterproof pointy-toe boots at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I love the color of these boots and the fact that they are waterproof. I’ve not worn them yet, but I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of them this fall.

Did someone mention statement boots? These gold-trimmed ankle boots are a WOW factor and then some. They also come in solid colors and look fabulous. They have a cushioned insole, but I had to laugh at the description that said they’d be good for a date, shopping, and HIKING. Gurls, don’t wear these hiking. lol

For those of you who like tall boots but just can’t do a high heel, don’t worry. I have you covered! The reviews say that you should size up and that the shaft is a little narrower than it looks. Even so, they have a 4.4-star rating and are just $55 dollars.

The Ultimate Guide To Wearing Boots with Wide-Leg Jeans

Wide-leg jeans call for a more pointy toe. You don’t want wide legs AND wide feet. 🙂

These are very modern and chic, and there’s no one in the world that would guess these are only $27 dollars! Of course, these come in several basic colors, but I love these in the red color that is so on trend!

I love the color of these booties, and the square toe is very popular this year. However, since I prefer a pointy toe, I think these boots will be going back. The quality of the boots is great, but I’m going to stick with the style I prefer the most.

Sam Edelman is a great brand! Half the time when I stop someone to ask about their shoes (yes, I do that) they tell me they are Sam Edelman’s. These are “praline,” but they have another FOURTEEN colors to choose from. You’re sure to find something you love.

I couldn’t find a flat boot that I loved, but these are a good compromise. Frank Sarto is one of the brands I always look for at the Nordstrom sale. These are available at Amazon and are $79 dollars. Not bad for a boot you can dress up and dress down to wear with just about everything.

What type of jeans and boots are you wearing this fall? I hope this helps you know what you need!
