THE SUN WILL COME OUT
I feel like bursting out in song today and I think that I am going to sing a popular tune from the play “Annie.” Yes, the Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow, or in this case, today. Lol! I am soooooo happy to see the sun shining that I don’t even care if I am having to squint to see. The sun has come out just in time also since I have plans for this weekend and the upcoming week. I am having company, and, not just any company. My son and his family from Tennessee are coming to visit!!!
They normally come and visit with me for a week around this time of the year. It coincides with Emersyn’s birthday so they get to get two for the price of one. Visit with me AND attend a birthday party (very low key) for Emersyn. I know that Emersyn is on cloud nine because she LOVES Matti. She likes the boys too but Matti is her idol. Every time I have seen Emersyn this week she has made it a point to tell me that Matti is coming to visit. Lol! I always sound so surprised so she is probably starting to think that I am losing my mind. Lol! I haven’t gotten my nails done in quite some time because I know that a “girls day out” will be on the agenda. I love getting to treat everyone to a mani-pedi while they are visiting. It has been a while since I have gone to watch the fireworks in town but I am betting it will be on the agenda also. Lol! It looks like next week is getting busy for me, I can hardly wait!!!
Sunny and windy was what my day was as you can see from my wild looking hair. Are you finally glad to be seeing a different blouse on the blog? Remember, you all asked for the series on styling one blouse in different ways. Lol! This top is so comfortable that I loved it the minute that I tried it on. It is by Ann Taylor and I loved the bright colors in the print. This type of top will go with so many different colors that you could wear it over and over and not wear it the same way for a long time. I bought this at an outlet store and I really wish that it hadn’t been a tie front top. I think that I would wear it longer if it had been just a normal type hemline.
I am still loving my bright pink shoes. There was no way that I would have ever worn pink shoes in the past. I would have been way too self-conscious and would have worried what others would think. Now, I have learned to embrace my individuality and if that is not everyone’s cup of tea then I am fine with that. The buckle detail is a hot trend, especially in shoes.
I wanted to wear a darker pair of pants so that the colors would really stand out. I went with a plain black pair of Pixie Pants from Old Navy. If you have been following me very long then you know that I love Pixie Pants. They are comfortable, they fit me great, and they are very affordable. Mine are the stretchy type with spandex added. When I buy this type then I will size up one size. I normally wear a size 10 but when I buy these I will buy a 12. It is just a number because I am still the same size no matter what.
I am really looking forward to having all of my grandbabies together! We have scheduled a photo shoot while they are here. That will be amusing I am sure. Can you imagine trying to wrangle 5 grandbabies together from the ages of 10 months to 10 years? What are your plans for the weekend? There aren’t that many things to do here in Grundy. I am glad that we have a pool because that will keep them occupied and I am sure that a trip to the movies, a shopping trip to Walmart, and making smores will definitely happen. Sleep, however, might not happen as much. Lol! Boy, do I look forward to it!!!!
I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

Love your blog! We will be spending the 4th at our lake house with 4 of our granddaughters. It will be an amazing time . Enjoy your time with your family.
Love your blog! We are going to our lake house for the 4th, we will also have all our grandchildren, it makes the lake so much more fun ! Have a great time .
You’ve put a song in my head I’ll hear all day. Pretty top and like previous comment I like tie tops too. They are good at hiding my belly. My family coming home too next week and I can’t wait. No grandkids yet but cookouts and fireworks in the plans with my children and brother and sister-in-law. Almost forgot, love the pink shoes.
The bright pink shoes are definitely my cup of tea!! I always think it’s fun to add a punch of color with our shoes (yes…I’m a shoeaholic. But I blame my mother (the 80+ model on my blog) because the nut doesn’t fall far from the tree). Enjoy your exciting weekend!!
XOXO

I love Ann Taylor! The styles are so classic and on trend! Beautiful!
I am leaving Ohio today to head to Outerbanks with my 3 grandkids ages 18 months to 6 years, their parents, my husband and my very energetic dog. Should be interesting but fun!
love the background,
Time with family is the best
I am chuckling to myself as the first thing I thought to myself when I saw what you were styling today was “Oh, I love that top with the tie” and you wish it didn’t have it. I am always on the lookout for a “tie” blouse as I always feel they give just a little more room in the tummy area but yet aren’t blousy and have a little straighter fit to still make them look slenderizing. You have such a fun week ahead of you and I would be so excited too. I’m sure you will be busy this weekend preparing for their arrival. Enjoy your sunshine.
Tania, I can remember school letting out for summer and going to stay with grandma on and off. Except grandma didn’t have a pool…, they had a big yard…so I got to help mow!! HaHa! Oh, but I would do it all over again!! Nothing like with being spoiled by your Grandma!!
Another song to add to your happy sunny list should be ‘the sun has got his hat on hip hip hip hooray lol. No wonder you feel happy having all the family to visit, fun times ahead. Love the colours in the top, bright and cheerful, also the shoes are great and certainly say Wow! Have a great day.
