The Best Transitional Clothing for Summer to Fall
It’s hard to believe that it’s time to talk about fall clothing, but it is almost upon us! This is that in-between stage where it’s so hard to know what to wear. Is it going to be cool? Hot? Both? No worries! Today I’m sharing the best transitional clothing for summer to fall.
Blazers are a great transitional item. They look great and bridge the gap between a lightweight jacket and a full-on parka. This is one that I styled last year. The green color is limited in size, but there are a lot of colors available. I also love the plaid version below! The Brahmin Finley Carryall is perfect for Fall. I love the deep rich color, and the size is great for every day.
Cardigans are a staple in my closet. If you have a capsule wardrobe for fall it should definitely have some cardigans in it. This grey is a good fall color, but if you want brighter, it also comes in red and pink. This says fall is coming without looking like you’re jumping the season.
I love sweater sets! Remember those movies in the 50s where the women wore sweater sets and pearls? They are just a great classic look. This black-and-white version would never go out of style.
I wear ankle boots in winter, spring, summer, and fall! They look great with cropped jeans but also underneath a longer, bootcut pair. The photo above is from a couple of years ago. Of course, everything is sold out except for the jeans, but I’ve linked to a similar pair of boots.
This photo is from last year, but these Tory Burch flats still look great! Flats are a wonderful way to transition to fall. It’s time to put your sandals back into the closet and look for darker, closed-toe options.
Did you know that one of my most viewed YouTube videos was one I did years ago on tying scarves? It has almost 600,000 views! There’s a reason so many people want to know how to tie a scarf. They are popular! I love the colors in this beauty, but I’ve linked some more traditional fall colors below, too.
Isn’t this a great color for fall? The length is great, the color is great, and the PRICE is great. It’s on $45 dollars! I think it would look perfect for fall with a cardigan and a pair of flats.
You don’t have to break out the winter-weight pants, just try a darker hue! Olive is always a great fall color, and these would look good through winter when paired with some tall boots. This is the time to pull out the darker jeans, grey pants, etc.
