It’s officially hurricane season, and while I don’t live on the coast, we do get a lot of bad weather every year. In every fashion blogger’s life, a little rain must fall. Oh, well. No need to look unfashionable! Today I’m sharing the best rainy day items for fall.

You can’t go wrong with bright yellow! It’s a perfect way to brighten up the day. The one I’m wearing was sold out, but I’ve linked a similar one. It’s all about the color!

The Best Rainy Day Items for Fall – Coats

I love this classic navy blue color, and please tell me you see that striped lining!? How cute is that? It also has an adjustable waist, and the hood is detachable, so if you want to wear it as a windbreaker, that works, too.

The raincoat comes in several colors, including pink, purple, and this gorgeous baby blue. Shucks, since it is just $49 dollars, you can have several of these!

Speaking of color! How gorgeous is this? If bright pink is not your favorite, they have some other bright and interesting patterns. The price is certainly beautiful – just $26 dollars!

I’m a firm believer that bright colors can lift your spirits even on the rainiest of days. This fucshia jacket isn’t waterproof, but it is water repellent. I guess that means that it will keep the rain from soaking you, but you better be running for cover. Lol! The jacket has a drawstring waist and the medium fits me great.

I thought I’d show you a couple of nice coats that are also practical. Why I love a pretty trench coat; sometimes you want something that is warm and hooded to keep the rain off. This pretty jacket comes in eight colors and has an adjustable drawstring waist and hood. The reviews are great, but say if you’re petite or slim to size down.

This is a lightweight raincoat that you could wear year round. Like the yellow one I’m wearing, I think the best way to brighten up a grey day is with a pop of color. This is a great casual rain jacket to throw in your car for running errands. The hood means you have your hands free for shopping!

The Best Rainy Day Items for Fall – Pants

Rainy days aren’t just for raincoats! Wearing jeans in a downpour is no fun, but some days you have to be out and about. I have these leggings, and they are perfect! They are fleece-lined for those cold days, and the material is water-resistant which makes for quicker drying. They come in several colors and would look great paired with one of the raincoats above. I did size up to an XL because of the fleece lining.

Running errands in leggings is all well and good, but what if you have to spend time out in the elements? I know this feeling well. When you’ve had sons who played football, you learn pretty quickly that they don’t call the games off with a little bit of rain. These waterproof jogger pants would be functional AND fashionable.

The Best Rainy Day Items for Fall – Rain Boots

You should know by now how I feel about Hunter Boots. I love my Tiffany Blue pair and my red pair, too! I feel like these are a new fashionable phenomenon, but they’ve actually been around since 1956. They are a classic boot and look very chic.

Why ruin your nice shoes with water puddles when you can look great and keep your feet dry with these booties? Of course, these come in traditional colors like black and navy, but I love these in white. They also come in bright yellow, pink, and others!

I mean, how cute are these London Fog booties? I love this black floral pair, but they have several equally cute prints like leopard and polka dot. Reviewers suggest you size up, which is usually a good idea when you’ll be wearing thick socks, etc., in the winter.

The Best Rainy Day Items for Fall – Other Types of Shoes

I love a good pair of rain boots, but they don’t look especially fashionable with leggings or joggers like the ones above. For those, I’d wear a pair of these cute water shoes. They’d be great to wear on a wet day, but you can also wear them during the summer at the lake or pool.

If you’re not a fan of rain boots, Blondo has got your back! These ankle boots are great for wearing when you want to look well-dressed on a wet day. They are 100% suede but have waterproof technology to keep your feet nice and dry!

This tread is great for displacing the water that helps make it less slick.

Here is the same boot, but in a different color. Which color do you like the best?

These are another great pair by Blondo. I love the utilitarian look of these. If you’re running around on wet pavement, the last thing you want to worry about is slipping on a high heel. Again, I’d size up at last a half size!

Okay, gurls! What do you think? The next time it rains, are you going to Netflix and chill, or sing in the rain in one of these options?
