Flare Trousers in Corduroy

I love wearing corduroy in the fall and winter. They are chic and stylish, plus there is the added benefit of warmth. These Flare Trousers in Corduroy are a gorgeous sandy color. They give you the classic swish-swish sound as you walk, so you’ll not be sneaking up behind anyone. Lol! Flare jeans and trousers are universally flattering for most women since they balance their hips and shoulders. I feel these run a tiny bit on the large side, so size down if you’re between sizes.

If you’re into a sleeker silhouette, these slim-leg velvet pants are for you. They’ve got a flattering fit that hugs you in all the right places, plus the velvet adds just the right amount of texture. The versatility of these pants is amazing—you can wear them with a tucked-in shirt and belt for a polished look or dress them down with a cozy hoodie. They’re also lightweight enough for layering, so throw on some tights underneath for extra warmth if the temps really drop!

These wool plaid pants from Talbots are giving me major holiday vibes, lol! The classic plaid pattern is so festive, and the wool fabric offers plenty of warmth and durability. They’re wide-legged, which means you can layer tights or leggings underneath without sacrificing comfort. Style them with a turtleneck and a cute pair of loafers for a timeless look. Plus, they’re perfect for family gatherings—because who doesn’t want to look fabulous while sneaking seconds of pumpkin pie?

Coated jeans are having a moment, and this high-waist flare pair is everything! They’ve got that denim look with a glossy twist, giving you the durability of jeans but with a touch of glam. The flared leg is perfect for elongating your silhouette, and they’re ideal for layering with boots. Definitely corduroy pants for me when it’s cold. What are your thoughts on shorties like me wearing flared trousers? Is it best to wear straight leg?

    1. Deborah, flared trousers help to balance out the shoulders and hips. They look great for petites, you just need to make sure the length works for you.

  2. Janell Bontekoe says:

Tennessee has been super cold the last couple weeks and fleece joggers have been my go to for outside activities!

  3. Lori Pruitte says:

I love the idea of fleece lined pants but I’d have a hot flash and those would need to come off! That might be really embarrassing quickly. But I did like a couple others I’m going to check out thank you

    1. lol! That reminds me of the time a wasp flew up my pants leg. Those things came off in a hurry and I didn’t care who was around.

  4. Thank you for the guide on How to Identify Your Body Type in 3 Simple Steps. It was very helpful and easy to follow.

That’s a nice picture of you and Joe. I hope that you have a very safe and enjoyable time with the family! I also hope that your parents are completely settled in their new home. Has your mom fully recovered from her surgery? I live in fleece lined sweatpants during the cold months because they are so comfy and allow me to move freely when doing my chores. When I have appointments, I have some nice fleece lined sweats that are more fitted and a pair of lined washed grey GAP Factory jeans that I will wear. I have not found my corduroy pants to be warm enough for me. I am definitely going to check out the lined bootcut jeans you shared.

    1. Thanks for asking, Ginger. They are loving their new home. It is more convenient, and smaller which is easier to take care of. Mom is doing great and if fully recovered.

  14. Stay warm, healthy and safe! Love these options! Thanks

  15. Great picture of you and Joe. Love all the warm pants especially the corduroy ones.

  16. Good choices except faux leather isn’t warm unless you have fleece under it. To keep warm I will wear fleece leggings under my jeans or lounge pants. I use leggings like long johns. One of these days I’m going to have to invest in lined wool slacks. I wish the Talbot ones above came in a solid color like gray. I never heard of fleece lined jeans. I wish they came in petite length. It finally warmed up yesterday to a high near 60. It’s tough to have a week of low 20s and high 30s. We’re spoiled in central Texas and can’t take the cold for more than a couple of days. Some of my family love the cold but not me.
