Those of you who read this blog on a regular basis know that I’m a huge football fan. My son played in high school and now actually coaches in Tennessee. Joe and I don’t watch a lot of TV, but when I do, it’s almost always a football game. This weekend will determine who will be playing in the Super Bowl, and you better believe I’ll be watching those games. If you’re planning on watching the Super Bowl but don’t know what to wear, no worries. Today, I’m sharing some of the best football-themed shirts for women over 50!

The Best Football-Themed Shirts For Women Over 50 – Sequins

You know I like my bling, lol. This gameday shirt with sequin footballs is perfect for when you want to cheer on a team but don’t want to be specific. Ha! This is so comfortable. It’s meant to be slightly oversized, so keep that in mind if you want something more fitted. I like the white, but it also comes in purple, red, orange and black.

It’s hard to tell from this photo, but the letters on the shirt are done in really pretty sequins. Each letter is a different color and it’s very vibrant. Check the photo below to see it a little more clearly. It’s very light and comfy, so I wouldn’t worry about being too hot at the party. The best thing is you can wear this year after year. It runs true to size.

You can see the sequins much better now. You can also see the adorable Beaded Football Earrings that I’m wearing. Since my oldest son is a football coach at my alma mater, so I’ll be wearing these shirts and earrings to his games.

Isn’t this black and gold pretty? I think it looks so much more expensive than the price tag of $20 dollars! It’s cold in my neck of the woods, so this long-sleeved version would work well, but it’s also available in short sleeves and other colors. I’d pair this with a cute pair of jeans and some black booties or some simple tennis shoes.

The Best Football-Themed Shirts For Women Over 50 – Long Sleeve

Talk about football-themed; this is very literal. I actually really like the “stitching” on the sleeves. I’ve looked at a ton of football t-shirts for women, and this is the only one I’ve seen with that particular detail. If you don’t want to look like you’re wearing a football, there are other colors at the link that don’t include the “stitching.”

I thought this was fun for those of you who are like, “Yay, sports!”. The distressed letters give it a vintage look. I like the blue, but it’s also available in black. Unlike most of the sweatshirts I’ve shown, this is a classic fit, not oversized. Also, unlike the sequined versions, it’s machine washable!

You know I love my leopard print! If you’re one of those people who can get a little riled up watching your favorite team, this shirt is for you. It’s also a classic fit, so if you’re a fan of baggy sweatshirts, then you’ll want to size up. Reviewers say it’s very comfortable and that it’s a nice weight. Not too hot but not thin.

The Best Football-Themed Shirts For Women Over 50 – Short Sleeve

Aww, how cute is this?! It combines so many things I am crazy about – football, leopard print, and love. It’s a super soft material, but it doesn’t cling, which is something I despise. This vintage grey is my favorite, but it’s also available in a bright blue.

Here’s a bright and cheery game-day shirt that you can wear all season long. Pair it with a cute cardigan if it’s cold in your area. There are several colors and versions at the link if yellow isn’t your favorite. It’s a cute and inexpensive way to join the football fun. Just under $20 dollars.

If you just can’t make yourself wear a football-themed shirt, OR if you have a shirt or jersey all ready and are looking for a fun accessory, this football headband is super cute. It’s embellished with gold balls, white pearls, sparkling rhinestones, and mini footballs. I love the white, but it’s also available in black and blue. Too cute!

Okay, gurls. Let me know who your favorite football team is and if you’re planning on a Super Bowl party. I’d love some appetizer ideas, too!

  1. I’m a college football gal. And I’m all about my high school basketball team. I need one of those “classy” shirts except with a round ball and “tip off.” Oh, and I LOVE my laundry sorter. I taught my kids at early ages how to take their laundry in there. No sorting needed when time to wash–and I can tell them to wash this or that and not worry that they’ll get towels in with clothes or dry the wrong clothes (I have to hang most everything that isn’t PJs, socks, and undies).

  2. Love dogs and doggy dentists costly, but our friends are worth it ❤️
