The Best Drugstore Skincare Products for Women Over 50 – Cleansers

CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser

My granddaughter swears by this brand. My daughter Ashleigh left some at my house, and after my granddaughter used it, she was hooked! If your skin has been feeling drier than a biscuit at a summer picnic, this CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser is about to be your new best friend. Packed with hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin, this cleanser removes dirt and makeup without stripping your skin barrier. It’s fragrance-free, making it perfect for sensitive skin. Plus, it’s got the National Eczema Association’s seal of approval—so you know it’s gentle.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Lightweight Hydrating Facial Cleansing Gel

For my Gurls who love that fresh, clean feeling without tightness, this Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel is fantastic. It’s lightweight, removes makeup like a dream, and is packed with hyaluronic acid for a boost of hydration. Perfect for a skincare routine that keeps fine lines at bay! This one comes in a big refill pouch, so you’re not constantly running out.

The Best Drugstore Skincare Products for Women Over 50- Moisturizers and Serums

Olay Vitamin C Lightweight Face Moisturizer

If you’re looking for a moisturizer that brightens and evens out your skin tone, this Olay Vitamin C Face Moisturizer is a great choice. Vitamin C and niacinamide work together to fade dark spots and improve overall glow. It’s lightweight, non-greasy, and wears well under makeup. Olay has been a top brand forEVER for a reason.

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Triple Power Anti-Aging Concentrated Face Serum

Serum lovers, this one’s for you! The L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Serum is loaded with hyaluronic acid and Pro-Xylane to target wrinkles and boost collagen production. It absorbs quickly and leaves skin looking plumper and more hydrated. If you’re new to serums, this is a great way to start without breaking the bank. And trust me, once you start using it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!

The Best Drugstore Skincare Products for Women Over 50 – Sunscreen

Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Sunscreen Moisturizing Face Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 60

We all know sunscreen is a MUST, but this Aveeno SPF 60 Face Lotion is a real standout. It hydrates while protecting from UVA and UVB rays, thanks to prebiotic oats and antioxidants. It’s lightweight, fragrance-free, and works well under makeup. If you’ve been skipping SPF (I see you, Gurl), this is your sign to add it to your daily routine!

Sun Bum Sunscreen SPF 50 Body Lotion

This Sun Bum Sunscreen isn’t just a sunblock—it’s skincare in a bottle! With vitamin E and a moisturizing formula, it protects while keeping your skin soft. It’s broad-spectrum, reef-safe, and doesn’t leave that dreaded white cast. Perfect for beach days, golf days (looking at you, Joe), or just everyday wear. Plus, it smells like summer in a bottle—what’s not to love?

The Best Drugstore Skincare Products for Women Over 50 –

Pixi Glow Tonic Balancing Face Toner

If your skin needs a little wake-up call, Pixi Glow Tonic is the answer. I read online that this is a “cult favorite.” Sign me up! This toner has glycolic acid to exfoliate gently, revealing brighter, smoother skin. It’s alcohol-free, so it won’t dry you out, and it helps with skin-cell turnover. It’s very lightweight, and a little goes a long way.

Burt’s Bees Vitamin C Turmeric Face Serum

This Burt’s Bees Serum is like a little bottle of sunshine. Vitamin C and turmeric work together to brighten and even skin tone, while natural hydration keeps your face soft. It’s lightweight and absorbs fast—no greasy feeling! Plus, it’s 98.5% natural, so if you’re picky about ingredients, this is a great option.

The Best Drugstore Skincare Products for Women Over 50 – Eye Creams

RoC Retinol Correxion Under Eye Cream

Tired of looking tired? This RoC Retinol Eye Cream is a lifesaver. It tackles dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines with a powerful retinol formula. It’s gentle but effective, so if you’ve been avoiding retinol, this is a good place to start. Try this a few nights a week to see how you tolerate it, then gradually increase your usage if all goes well. The reviews of this product are off the chart.

Neutrogena Retinol Eye Cream for Dark Circles

Another great eye cream, this Neutrogena Retinol Eye Cream helps with wrinkles, dark spots, and hydration. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid and retinol, so it smooths fine lines while keeping your under-eye area plump. It’s lightweight and absorbs quickly—no greasy mess! FOUND IT Been wondering about the order of putting on all these products. What goes first? What goes last? I’ve been hearing about 17 step programs – yikes!

    1. Carol Ann, it can be so confusing. The simple rule is to go from thinnest to thickest. So toner’s and serums usually go first and lotions and creams go last.
