Gurls, I’m obsessed with crossbody bags! They are all the rage right now, and I’m here for it. They’re typically just the right size to carry a few things but not so large that I’m tempted to put everything I own in them and hurt my shoulder. Finding just the right purse is tough, but I’ve got you! Today, I’m sharing the best crossbody bags you’re sure to love.
I originally bought the Pearl Nappa Leather Crossbody for when I’m traveling since it has three compartments to hold my ID, paperwork, cards, and cash. This crossbody is so impressive, and I carry it all the time, not just when traveling.
The Italian Leather Triple Compartment Crossbody is almost identical to the Pearl crossbody above but at a much better price point. I tend to carry brown handbags most often, especially in a casual outfit, so I wanted this color in addition to the black bag. One thing I like about this bag over the Pearl bag is that this bag has an additional handle. You can switch out the crossbody strap for the short handle and carry it like I am in the photo above.

You probably know about the quality of Talbot’s clothing, but have you tried their handbags? I have several bags from Talbots, and I love how nicely they are made. The leather is always soft and well-finished, and the hardware is polished and a nice weight. This navy leather bag is a great neutral, and you can carry this all year long.
This crossbody is the same size and style. The Calf Hair Leopard Crossbody is also considered a neutral, but it is much more showy than the navy. I love that the back of this bag is dark brown leather, so you can carry it with either side showing. This crossbody goes under the CHIC and STYLISH heading.

This is a gorgeous leather crossbody, and the chain strap elevates the handbag to the next level. You can carry this bag for casual or dressy looks, so you’ll get a lot of wear with it.

I love showing items at different price points, and this bag comes in at under $25 dollars! It’s not 100% leather, of course, but at that price, you can buy a new one when it starts to look scratched. The ivory is nice, but it’s available in 36 options! Lots of people love this purse as it has a 4.7 rating and has been reviewed over 10,000 times.
This is one of my favorites! I think the size is great, and I love the braiding detail. But what really sells it for me is the tassel. It’s a pretty great purse for under $30 dollars! It has two interior pockets, one of which zips. Of course, it’s available in many other colors if you don’t like khaki.
Talk about a classic! Micahel Kors is known for simple elegance, and this crossbody fits the bill nicely. I like the brown, but it also comes in white. Made from leather, it has several interior pockets, and the gold chain detail is a nice touch. This is a purse you would keep and carry for a very long time.

This bag by Lululemon is a crossbody in my book, but they call it a belt bag. It can be carried like a fanny pack, but most people carry these across the chest. Since the launch of this bag, Lululemon has really expanded its crossbody bags, including ones that are quilted, sherpa, velour, and larger varieties. There are plenty to choose from. You can see all of them here.
I’ve been seeing these small crossbody bags EVERYWHERE. I’m old enough to remember the fanny pack, so it took me a while to warm up to this style, lol. Still, they are very trendy and great for shopping. This particular bag is leather and available in 17 colors and strap designs. The price and reviews are great, just know that it’s not going to hold much more than a phone and some credit cards.
I chose this bag for the chic gold hardware. It’s another smaller version, so I wouldn’t want to carry it if I needed to bring several items, but it would be great for an event where I just needed a phone, a card, and maybe a tube of lipstick. I thought the gold popped nicely against the brown, but the link has a few more options, including a gorgeous red.

My preference is a bag with well placed zippers that I can devote to different types of things – wallet, check; lip balm, check; rescue inhaler (takes up lots of space), check. Brighton used to carry a line called Live Love Travel with a nylon bag that fit the bill. Now I’m trying out Baggalini and Travelon bags. Wish they came in leather!

I want to like a crossbody for the hands-free convenience. I just hate they way they cut “the girls” down the middle. I find it so unflattering when I see myself like that. ha!!!
I am 74 years old and having an extremely hard time finding cross body totes and satchels. Why do most purses have skinny shoulder straps. I have no shoulders! I lost them when I turned 60! Chains hurt. I want wide shoulder straps. Sometimes they cut into my neck. I am desperate!
You can buy just purse straps on Amazon & change to a wider cloth strap that stays up on your shoulder.

I have to admit I use to make fun of my granddaughter for her lululemon belt bag. I thought it was a glorified fanny back then one day a color caught my eye now I own three. For their size they have so much room and stay secure.

I love crossbody bags. I use one in my every day life. On Sundays and special occasions I will switch to a different style bag. You’re right we don’t need all that stuff we want to carry. When I worked I carried a lot of stuff but now that I’m retired I don’t need it.
I switched from regular purses to cross-body bags to save my back and have noticed the difference right away. The trick for me is to find one that holds just enough. My large (and completely necessary) sunglasses are the biggest challenge in that regard. I will check out your recommendations! Thank you for the awesome post!

I’m using small crossbody bags for my phone and car keys and tissues when I’m taking care of my grandchildren. I kept searching for afanny pack large enough to hold my phone, but cell phones are getting so much bigger now that most of my small purses cannot hold the phone..
I like the Amazon Essentials top. Classic workout style with side slits for women who like some coverage with style.
I have been looking for just the right crossbody. Small size but large enough to hold my wallet, and a few necessities. I especially like the Quince bag.

I absolutely LOVE MKORS cross bodies, have them in a variety of colors! I prefer carrying one over a tote when out and an about. Also have a very cute Kate spade with flowers, and a Lululemon, the wide band does irritate my neck however carrying it.
