The Best Brown Loafers For Fall
Gurls, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but brown loafers are HUGE this year. You know I love color and heels, so I wasn’t sure that I would fully embrace this trend, but I was wrong. I am absolutely loving how these look! If you haven’t yet jumped on the trend, don’t worry. Today I’m sharing the best brown loafers for fall, so let’s gooooooo!
If you prefer wearing flats, then check out yesterday’s post: The Best Ballet Flats to Buy This Fall
I started not to include this pair of loafers since they are a light color. But, the color is called Latte, and I consider that brownish, plus, I love these loafers.
I wore these when I was taking the photos for The Best Pullover Sweaters For Women Over 50 post. They are so comfortable!!! I love the tonal chain across the foot, and surprisingly, I like the white soles.
The Best Brown Loafers For Fall From Talbots
These Dark Brown Suede Tassel Loafers were also in the pullover sweater post. I’ve worn these loafers several times, which has surprised me. As I mentioned, loafers are not a shoe that I thought I would embrace, but I love the dark suede color, and the horse bit makes them look a little fancier.
You have to admit…these look great with this casual outfit!!!
The Best Brown Loafers For Fall from Amazon
These basic pair of loafers would be a great starting point for those wanting to dip their top into the loafer waters. There are no bells and whistles, so they won’t draw attention to your feet. But, they are a great neutral color and have a pointy toe which will help to elongate your legs.
For those of you who like to keep things simple, these loafers are perfect! No frills, just a nice, stylish, and chic flat. These are very popular and get great reviews. Oh, and they are incredibly affordable! You can’t go through Panda Express for that amount, lol.
How can we mention loafers without talking about PENNY loafers? Am I the only one who used to wear these in school with an actual penny slipped between the leather? If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on loafers, Amazon has your back! These look incredibly comfortable and are only around $25 dollars.
I love a great suede shoe! My sister recently purchased these for a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. She said they were very comfortable walking around town. They are only around $40 dollars and come in several colors, including a very pretty deep red!
How nice are these two-tone loafers from Clark’s?! They are 100% leather, and they come in narrow, regular, and WIDE sizes. While they are a little more expensive, the reviews are great. The gurls have spoken!

Love the comfort of a loafer. Looks smart and fresh.
The chunky chain loafers!!! Love those. With a good bag…perfection!!
The penny loafer mocassins are a must have!! They are comfy and look great with jeans!!
I haven’t been a fan of loafers, but there are a couple of these that I think I’d like! Thank you for sharing them.
Love loafers!
I haven’t worn loafers since high school. These styles are really cute and affordable!
Love the Clark’s loafer – has the arch support that I need.
A great alternative to sneakers & probably just as comfortable!
Usually, I’m not a fan of loafers but those leopard with the black bow made me a convert!m
I’mnot usually a fan either, but I’m loving them this year.
I still love the traditional Penny Loafers. I wore them when I was in High School (lots of years ago ) and still get a pair at the Bass Store every few years as needed.
how heavy are these shoes = some are so heavy they make your feet ache
from wearing them.
Thanks
The ones I’m wearing aren’t heavy.
Absolutely LOVE loafers!
I love the leopard loafers.
Very cute loafers. I’m getting on the loader bandwagon but it’s hard for me to find the right size. I have a narrow heel so shoes tend to slip off.
The loafers are really cute!
I like the latte colored shoes with the cashmere sweater to match!
really like some of these shoes
I might just have to have the dark brown tassel loafer from Talbots. I love loafers and have several pairs but could use brown. Are they TTS and not too wide?
I love the dark brown loafers. They aren’t heavy, and they fit TTS.
Ooh, the Talbots loafer are so stylish!
Love the dark brown ones
LOVE the shoes! Can you please share about the jeans you have on? Thanks.
Cute shoes
nope, I just can’t get over my dislike of loafers. I feel like they make your feet look big. I’ll keep trying to embrace them though. I’ll try some on at the store. maybe that will change my mind 😆
Lol! It is all about the style of the loafers and the type of pants. Keep trying!
My feet love loafers!!
I love me a good pair of loafers! Don’t have a brown pair so I appreciate all the choices you have given us!
You’re welcome! Hope you find something you like. ❤️
Love all the loafers. Great post!! My favorite are the latte Cole Hahn loafers from Nordstrom’s. I like the loafers with the lug sole. Very trendy right now.
Yes, those are totally on trend. Thanks for commenting! ❤️
Sorry about your concert! We go to an outdoor venue that we love and always have
covered seats but it typically rains every time we have tickets and we get wet from or
to our car. Thankfully some pavement but dirt lots 🙁 like you said could be worse! Love
the loafers! I have some similar to one pair and purchased a second color I loved them
so much.
Covered seats are a great idea. 🙂 Maybe we’ll try again one of these days. lol
Thanks for the post, a great selection of loafers.
I love loafers, comfortable and easy to go from professional to shopping. Lots mor choices now- so fun!
You look fabulous in all the outfits! My favorites were the Chico’s leopard top with faux leather pants and camel colored top with split ankle pant with leopard scarf. ❤
Loafers are everywhere and I’m here for it!! I love this style of shoe because they are cute and comfortable, can’t go wrong in my opinion!! I even like the ones with a heel and I’m not a heel girl:)
Love the loafers. Are you wearing with socks or nothing? I think I saw white socks?…
Mary, that was just my white legs. Lol! I usually go sock-less.
I so love loafers. They’re classic and comfy. And yes, I had pennies in my loafers in the 80’s. 😀
Yes, I did wear penny loafers back in the day with a penny in them. What was the purpose of that penny?
I really liked wearing loafers and it was fun looking through the choices you showed. I may have to try a pair or two.

I’m not sure what a penny would have bought. Today you’d need to tuck in a ten dollar bill! 😀
This post is a home run! I love it all! Thank you for all you do!
Love Clarks. They are always comfortable! Thanks for the loafer review. Always looking for good casual shoe.
Tania,
I wouldn’t be so inclined to attend festivals and concerts either after your experience. Lol.
Love the loafer look and glad it is trending for fall. Thanks for sharing some options.
The Clark’s are in my cart! Tania, I remember wearing penny loafers with the penny inside!
OOOH – those Cole Haan’s are sooo gooood.
I love that designers are making comfortable shoes cute!
The Clark’s loafers are the best! I have them in black also!
Loved my Bass weejuns back in the day so I guess I better check out these new style loafers! Love the leopard ones.
These are cute. Love the Cole H best. I like they have a cute heel.
I love the color brown, very nice shoes.
The brown loafers are very stylish.
I love loafers and have been looking for a pair of camel loafers for the fall. Thanks for all the great options- the Clarkes caught my eye as well as the ones from Talbots. Choices…choices!
Happy shopping! 😀
I used to love wearing loafers, until I found out that that was the cause of my foot pain. I do see a couple that I might be able to use my orthotics in. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for giving a wide loafer option. Cute shoes in a wide with that are reallly comfortable are hard to find.
I love these shoes. Some are so comfortable and less frumpy. My sneakers seem to make me look older. Oh well, good post!
Love love love the leopard print loafers!!! I NEED those. Definitely.
i love loafers-these are great choices!!
Hi Tania, great post! I have the Clark’s loafer I purchased last fall and they are comfortable and fit great, TTS.
I absolutely love the leopard print shoes!
Such versatility with loafers! The leopard print shoes are cute!
Great post. I love my loafers. True story, I still have 3 pairs of Bass Weejuns loafers ( I think the company shut down, during Covid). I have tan, black and the classic wine. They are kind to my bunions. I especially like the ones from Talbots, with the arch supports. I will have to check them out. I have a Rewards bonus, waiting to be spent.
Talbots is having a sale with 25% off, plus extra bonus points today, so it is good timing.
Tania, I believe the Talbot’s loafer that you didn’t know what the stitching was called is called a “wing tip” style. A take on a style in men’s shoes. Very classy.
Yes, that is it. I couldn’t remember that. Lol!
I’m starting to like this brown loafer trend!
Me, too, and that surprises me. Lol!
The Clark’s loafers are great, I have them in navy. Very comfortable.
Love the calf hair leopard loafers! I also like the Amazon essentials loafers also like the price 😉.
Love the latte loafers
I love those! My DIL has them too, and she loves them also.
Loving these fallish outfits!!!!
