The Best Affordable Designer Inspired Activewear Clothing
Gurls, you know I love to wear cute activewear clothing! I have been known to splurge on some name brands such as Lululemon, SPANX, and others, but with the holiday gift buying happening now, I went looking for some less expensive options. The other day, I posted about The Best Spanx-Like Loungewear Set for Women Over 50, and y’all loved it. So, today, I’m sharing some of the best affordable designer inspired activewear clothing that will have your friends thinking you’ve splurged!
This wide-leg lounge set is similar to the one I showed the other day. I ordered this set in August and forgot about it until the other day. This is from a brand I shop regularly on Amazon, so I knew I would like the set. But I ordered a large, and it is too big for me. Looks like my mom will be getting a lounge set for Christmas. Lol!
The fabric is soft, thick, and so comfy. I love the half-zip shirt, and it also has the slits at the cuffs.
My DIL wears a lot of Lululemon, and she always looks adorable. This outfit is similar to what she wears but at a much better price point.
I love this color! The jacket and jogger are sold separately, but they are made from the same fabric. They both have great details, and are soft and comfy.
Like the outfit above, I messed up and ordered a large when I should have bought mediums. I can make the top work, but the pants are way too big on me.
This is my kind of activewear! My activity might be watching a Monday football game, but hey, that’s an activity. Lol!
I’ve shown this Soft Touch Hooded Pullover Sweater before in beige. I love this sweater since it is so soft, comfy, and perfect for every day. I’m wearing a large which fits great, but I wouldn’t mind having it in an XL also for an oversized look.
My DIL turned me on to these leggings. She wears LuLuLemon all the time, but she told me she likes these inspired leggings even better. I wasn’t sure which size to order, so I ordered a medium in navy and a large in melanite. They both fit me the same, but I like the navy color better. Lol!
Can you see me??? This Long Sleeve Workout Shirt in Camo reminds me of my LuLuLemon Back in Action top.
The top is made to be a relaxed fit, but I think the large was too big for me. I don’t like my tops to touch me anywhere, but this was a little too oversized, so it will have to go back.
These are the same leggings as above but in a large. The color is darker in person (I use a bright light to show all the details, but it lightens all the colors). I prefer wearing black leggings most of the time, but I will occasionally wear navy or burgundy. I also have a pair of black camo leggings, and I love those.
For you ladies who don’t like the tight-fitting look of leggings, here is an activewear outfit that is loose-fitting.
I bought this Relaxed-Fit Lightweight Crewneck T-Shirt this summer, and I’ve worn it so much. I wear it with leggings, jeans, and pretty much anytime I want to be comfortable without having anything touch my stomach area.
These Bootcut Yoga Pants with Pockets are a great alternative to wearing leggings. They feel the same at the waist but get looser as they go down the leg. Bootcut style pants are flattering to almost everyone since they help to balance out our hips and shoulders.
Some Of The Best Affordable Designer Inspired Activewear Clothing – Pants
The Gym People is a great brand that looks a lot more expensive than it is. These lightweight joggers have great reviews and are known for being soft and well-made. I love the deep pockets and the tapered legs. They come in a wide variety of colors if you don’t want hot pink.
Have you heard of HeyNuts? Despite the funny name, when I was looking for leggings that would be comparable to Lululemon, this brand kept coming up over and over. They are very soft, which I love, and have a high waist with tummy control. Of course, they come with pockets. Just because I’m working out doesn’t mean I don’t need my phone, lol.
Here is another brand of Wide Leg Sweatpants. I’m a fan of the wider leg and drape of these sweatpants. You can wear workout or lounge wear without looking like you’re about to wash the dog! Yes, you can be chic and put together even in something as comfortable as sweatpants. These are “apricot” but they look like soft pink to me. Lots of different colors at the link. 🙂
Some Of The Best Affordable Designer Inspired Activewear Clothing- Tops
If you’re actually wearing workout clothes to workout, chances are you’ll need a workout top with a sports bra. This is a great top from HeyNuts. This comes with removable pads and sizes A-D. I love the crisscross back and the variety of colors.
This is one of my favorite shirts! I love the crossed hem and the thumb holes. It’s always about the details! This is actually made from a very soft compression fabric. The color looks awesome, but there are many others if it’s not your cup of tea.
CRZ YOGA is another brand that comes up over and over when searching for Lululemon-comparable clothing. This is the brand that my daughter-in-law raves about! This is obviously for working out, but you could pair it with leggings and a cute zip-up jacket for a nice base layer. Reviews say it runs small, so keep that in mind.
Here’s another CRZ YOGA option. How comfortable and cute is this fleece-lined hoodie?! This is less than HALF of the price of a similar Lululemon hoodie. It has a kangaroo pouch a hidden pocket for your phone, and of course, sleeve holes! It comes in 15 other colors in addition to the sage green.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post on alternatives to Lululemon and other expensive workout clothing brands. Let me know which ones are your favorite.

Thank you for sharing items from all price points! Like you, I have items from Wal Mart to Chico’s in my closet. Most of all I look forward to what verse you will share and your Sunday posts. Most “public” figures won’t share their faith and no one should be ashamed of Jesus!! Merry Christmas 🎄
I’m a little behind in my emails… it’s that time of year! I needed to get more relaxed with these outfits! I did buy a 3 pack leggings from Amazon that you recommended and I love them!
Melanie, they are my favorite if you just want comfort, not compression.
You look so pretty and comfortable in the active wear.
Love the verse. Helps to remind us of the real meaning of the season. To God be the glory. Judy
Great post! Adding some leggings to my Amazon list.
