Tall Boots To Wear And Love This Season
I LOVE a great pair of tall boots. Maybe it’s my childhood love of Black Beauty and National Velvet or seeing my niece in her riding gear, but I always feel like I’m an equestrian superstar when I wear a pair. I wear them almost any time except in summer. If you don’t know where to start, no worries. Today, I’m sharing some great tall boots to wear and love this season.
Tall Boots To Wear And Love This Season – Chunky Heel
The boots that I’m wearing today are many years old and are no longer on any websites. I am only showing you photos of me wearing these boots to give you an idea of how I would style them with a dress. The cute denim dress is available, and I’m wearing a large in it. The camel coat is also old, and it is a Stadium Coat from Talbots. While it is not in stock right now, they normally re-stock it each year.
Speaking of equestrians, these look very similar to actual boots worn in the dressage arena. Except for the chunky heel. And probably other things that I know nothing about, lol. Hey, they’re tall and black, and I could wear them with SO many things. They come in several colors, including brown and white, but take note – these are HIGH at just over 3 inches. Around $60 dollars.
Scrunched socks are all the rage, so of course, scrunched boots are on trend! These are faux suede and available in four colors – taupe (pictured), tan, dark toffee, and black. The heel is a bit shorter at 2 inches, and they include a padded insole with memory foam for added comfort. An inside half zipper makes it easy to get them on and off.
These are some of the tallest of the tall boots at 19.3 inches and they have the tallest heel at 3.5 inches. I love the color – Beige – but they are also available in black, brown and five others. Of course, they have a zipper; otherwise, getting these off and on would be an ordeal. These would be great with leggings, skinny jeans, or a great dress, especially if it’s on the shorter side.
Tall Boots To Wear And Love This Season – Wide Calf
If you’re looking for a nice full leather boot or need a wider shaft for your calf, take a look at this gorgeous pair from Naturalizer. The heel is high at 3.25 inches, but Naturalizer is known for making comfy footwear, and the reviews say these definitely are. A little more expensive since they are full leather, but a great investment.
Tall Boots To Wear And Love This Season – Dressy Heel
You know me…I love wearing heels. I’m sure there will come a time when that is no longer possible, so I’m taking advantage of it while I still can. The black faux leather blazer is available, and I’m wearing a large. My Sam Edelman boots are also in stock but in a newer version. The Kate Spade Quilted Tote is available, but only a few are left. There is a similar version that has inventory if this bag sells out.
When I think of London, I think of great raincoats, but they also make footwear! These are dressier than the others because of the thinner heels. It’s 2 and 3/4 inches high, and the shaft is 14.5 inches tall. The price, just under $40 dollars, reflects the fact that they are not leather. Still, they have over 1400 reviews and a 4.1-star rating.
Tall Boots To Wear And Love This Season – Low Heel
You don’t often see me wearing riding boots, but I couldn’t resist this pair from Talbots. I bought them earlier this fall, and they are of great quality and fit great. They are almost sold out, but they restock each year.
For those of you who don’t like high heels, or can’t wear them, we’ve moved on to some low-heel versions. These are also from Naturalizer and they are available in four colors – black, chocolate, banana bread, and cinnamon. I don’t know whether to wear them or eat them, lol. Sizes are limited. Some colors only have a few, while others have more inventory. May the odds be ever in your favor!
Remember when I said that I loved the equestrian look? THESE are what I’m talking about. Yes! I love these leather Vaneli® Oriana boots with a square toe. The heel is a very manageable 1.5 inches. The side zipper makes them easy to get on and off, and the buckle at the top gives a secure fit. Of course, these are 100% leather.
Oh, look. A RIDING boot. These are another great option from London Fog. The heel is low at 1.25 inches and the faux leather shaft is 17.5 inches high. The dark brown distressed color is my favorite, but it’s also available in black and cognac. The gold hardware on the strap is a nice detail. Reasonably priced around $55 dollars.
I had to include at least one Western-style tall boot in this list. The heel is just over an inch, and the shaft is 17 inches high. These are available in five colors, but I think the lighter ones have a more “Western” feel. They aren’t real leather, and the price reflects that as they are around $55 dollars. I’d wear these with jeans or a great boho or western skirt.

I love all your boots, I could wear boots year round if it did not get so hot in the south.
Thanks for remembering us wide calf gals. I find boot shopping so frustrating.
Recently, I started styling with boots. What a difference it has made with shopping my closet. Great post on so many possibilities!
Tall boots are such a good look!
I love a good tall boot, but don’t have many opportunities to wear them anymore.
Love tall boots, especially the ones with a block heel.
I agree with you….I love a pair of tall boots, and you have given us some good choices at all price points!
Thank you for link to Talbot’s stadium coat. I SO wanted a new red coat. Fabulous price! Hunted for free shipping code like a pig rooting for truffles and was successful. Yippee! Can’t wait for it to arrive.
I’m so glad it worked for you!!!
I love tall boots & all other kind of boots too. I do try and get the lower heel ones now a days. I usually wear them with leggings tucked inside the boots. I have all colors-beige,tan, black, blue and brown.
I have skinny calves and short legs so hard for me to find boots that look good with dresses or skirts. I don’t wear the style of wearing over skinny jeans. I did finally find a company from New York that specializes in narrow calf boots. The ones I bought are real leather and have a small heel. Most of their boots are real high heels or riding boots. I would like to find other dressy styles but it’s hard since so many women have wide calves. That’s who retailers cater too.
I have a very hard time finding boots to fit my skinny calves!
I have tried to comment several times. it says it is waiting on approval and then it some how goes away. I am wondering what I am doing wrong?
You’re not doing anything wrong. Sometimes I’m busy, and can’t get time to approve everything.
Love my Boots! These are all fabulous!
I do love the tall boots!! Love that denim dress! Too cute!
I am 5′ tall and find that most of the tall boots I try on hit me in an awkward place on my leg. The Talbots Tish Tie boots look like a possibility. Love the denim dress.
I love boots! Tall ones, skinny ones, and short ones too!
I love boots! Tall ones, Skinny ones, short ones too! lol 😆

Nice choices they all look great on you. I personally do not wear tall boots maybe someday.
The link to the denim dress takes me to a pair of shoes on Amazon. Not sure if the error is on your side or my limited technical knowledge!
Not your error, it was mine. I fixed the link, but here it is for you: https://amzlink.to/az0VwbH269egU
