I believe in looking your best, even on a budget. I’ve shopped at thrift stores, yard sales, and have worn hand-me-downs from my older fashionable cousins. But those sources aren’t consistent, and I couldn’t rely on them to have the latest fashions. Walmart solved my dilemma since I can always find beautiful and affordable fashion there. Here are 7 summer Walmart dresses for women over 50 that are going to knock your socks off!

Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50 – A Midi Shirtdress

Did your mouth just drop open? Mine did the minute I saw this gorgeous Belted Midi Shirt Dress with Short Sleeves. I love shirt dresses because they are a classic style that you can wear for years.

The orange and pink color combination is a winner! You would never think that orange and pink would look good together, but they certainly do. This dress hits me right below my knee, so for you who don’t like to show a lot of leg; this is the dress for you.

Details are usually how you can spot an inexpensive garment. The belt button detail on the back is a detail that elevates this dress and makes it look more expensive than it is.

This 100% cotton dress will keep you cool this summer, and these Puffy Short Heel Sandals will keep your feet comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort level of these sandals, especially since I don’t normally like a strap around my ankle. These fit me great and didn’t pull or tug on my leg.

Casual Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50

Cute and adorable, this Navy Gingham Ruffle Collar Dress with Flutter Sleeves is perfect for summer! I took this dress with me to wear to my granddaughter’s ballet recital. I ended up not wearing it since my mother had on navy gingham pants. We decided not to look like we were twins. Lol!

I couldn’t stop swishing about in this dress! I love that the dress has pockets, and the small ruffle collar and sleeves are so feminine looking.

This is the length of dresses that my husband likes to see me wearing. I bet that doesn’t come as a big surprise to most of you; does your husband feel the same way? The medium fits me great and is plenty roomy.

Trending Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50

The Coastal Grandma trend is still going strong this year. Dressing in clothing that is cool, comfortable, and stylish for a beach vacation is the whole vibe, and this dress is perfect.

I already have this Sleeveless Double Cloth Dress in white, and I grabbed the pink version also. These dresses are flying off the shelves, and they are limited in size.

This dress hits me right above my knee; however, the dress is a little longer in the back. I sized up to a large since the white one was double-lined. But, the pink one isn’t as thick and doesn’t seem to be doubled-lined, so I probably could have worn a medium.

Concert-Ready Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50

The first thing I thought of when I saw this dress was…” Wouldn’t this be cute to wear to a music festival or a concert”?

Joe and I aren’t usually concertgoers, but I would love to go to a country music festival just so I could wear this dress with some cute little white booties. Lol!

Look at this cute floral garden print! It is super cute and feminine, and the small flutter sleeve adds to the vibe. There is a small snap closure to help the v-neck stay put and not expose more than we would want. The braided belt is an old one, but here is a similar one you might like.

Cute and Flirty Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50

I can’t wait to wear this dress for a date night look. Without even asking, I know this is going to be a husband-approved dress!!!

I added this Blue Hobo Handbag that I bought back in the spring. It is the perfect size to fit on my shoulder, and it holds all my essential items. The bag is also available in black and camel, and it is under $30!

I love the tropical print of this shirtdress! The dress would be great to take on a vacation to the beach. You could also wear this dress to a luncheon, or to the movies, but I would probably add a denim jacket or a lightweight cardigan to keep warm. Restaurants and movie theaters are notorious for being cold.

Espadrilles shoes are the shoes I think of when I think of summer. Well, those and flip-flops. Lol! I love the neutral color of these espadrilles, but the back zipper feature is what I love most. With the back zipper, you don’t have to struggle with buckles, and that is huge in my book!

Beach-Ready Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50

This colorful swing dress could also go under the Coastal Grandma category.

The flowy design of the swing dress will keep you cool even in the heat of the day. This dress is cute from the front, but just wait until you see the back.

I love the cross-back ties, and they would have looked even better if I had fixed them at the shoulder.

Here is a close-up view of the stripes. Look at all the beautiful colors which are perfect for summer.

Statement-Making Walmart Dresses For Women Over 50

This dress makes a statement!!! I couldn’t help but think about Princess Diana’s revenge dress when I saw it. It isn’t black, but it would still work to make someone regret their decision.

Once again, here is a pink and orange dress that looks fabulous. This dress has wide straps so you can wear your normal bra without any issue. This is a simple A-line dress, but the colorblock style adds an element of sophistication.

There is a small peephole on the back and a hook and eye closure.

Walmart makes it very convenient for its customers to shop, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes. Hello Tania. Who would have thought Walmart would carry such trendy, lovely dresses. Thank you for showing us. I love summer dresses in that I usually tan deeply and these dresses allow me to show it off. My favorites are the blue floral belted dress, the Tropical Print and the Navy Gingham. Janus

all really cute! Just a little short for me. I really hate my 67 year old legs.

    1. I thought the same maybe if you wear legging that go to the knee I thought the one with the more pink like pink one’s whatever color in the dress. Amazon. a thought idk. I have a slip extender if I feel a dress is to short. Bought mine on amazon.

  10. LOVE all the WM dresses especially the first one! Thanks for the WM ideas. When I go to my WM I never see any of these dresses. Glad Mr. Joe is better. Take care.

  11. I love the tropical print shirt dress! Is there any stretch to this dress?

  12. Love these! Thank you for the variety and price point!

  13. These dresses are adorable! Just wish some of them had sleeves – sometimes it’s too hot to add a cardigan to the mix.

    1. I agree, Tess. The dresses were adorable but I run hot. A cardigan would not work for me. I do not like showing my arms.

  14. I loved all 3 dresses. Super cute on you! I ordered 3 of the 4. The only reason I didn’t order all 4 is the pink and orange was out of stock. Lol
