SUMMER ROMANTIC LOOK
It was interesting today at work for a change. When I got to work there wasn’t a single parking spot available and I ended up parking next to the gate that goes around to the back lot. I just said a quick “thank you, Lord” and went inside to get to work. But, before I got to the front door a man with a huge movie camera on his shoulder came outside and was walking around. Let me just say that having a movie camera inside of our small lumber store is not an everyday occurrence.
When I walked inside there was a couple of boys that my son, Joseph, went to school with. These three have somehow become the subject of a reality show that will be showing on television and the film crew was filming them buying some supplies for one of their hi-jinx. It was cool to watch the process and see how it was all filmed. Joseph got to wait on them and help them find their items so he might possibly have a cameo spot on the show. If he doesn’t end up on the cutting room floor once the show airs I’ll be sure and let you gurls know so that you can watch. I am sure it is going to be interesting following those three around. Lol!!! I came home and had ALEXA play, “Act Naturally” and Joe and I sang along at the top of our lungs. It was quite comical. Lol!
How many of you have gone shopping and decided not to buy something and then really wish that you had bought it? That would be me today when I started editing these pictures. I really like the look of this top, it is very feminine. The weird thing is that I am not a big fan of ruffles or florals but either my tastes are changing or this outfit has grown on me. Florals are going to be EVERWHERE this year it is a hot ?trend. This top is by Sanctuary and it was in my Trunk Club shipment this past month. This fits true to size and this is a large. The sleeves are 3/4 and the top is machine washable. The only thing that I didn’t really care for was the fact that it has an elastic hemline. Overall though, this is a beautiful summery top with lots of lively colors to brighten your day. 
Even though the Lilo earrings are not my favorite I decided to wear them with this top and I thought they looked great. They look like fish scales but that is not my issue. The reason that I am not fond of these earrings is that the back of the earrings is white. A friend of mine bought these and then used fingernail polish to color the back a similar shade of blue. Pretty smart lady! Plunder Design has released the names of the retiring items. Once these are gone they won’t be coming back. I bought this pair of dark turquoise corduroy pants at Talbots when I went shopping on my trip to Charleston. I love the color but I laughed when I saw the pictures. I evidently rolled one of the hems twice and the other one only once. Lol! I look a little lopsided in the pictures. Haha!

I love the top! But you’re right about the elastic waist. I would buy it and take the elastic out and hem it myself! I’ve done that a couple times and works fine. 🙂

Hahaha, Kathy, that list was crazy. I tried to fix it where it was in two columns so it wouldn’t be as long but I couldn’t figure it out.

I love this color and it really looks good on you. Maybe someday I’ll come to like that type of neckline on me…but I doubt it ! I just feel like I have too bony of shoulders to make it work. I love collard blouses/shirts and goodness, you just don’t see many of that style in the stores. How exciting for your son and his friends…sounds like a fun experience.
Sandy, it is hard when the style you look the best in is not in the stores. Keep trying different things and you might find something else that can work for you.

Did you sing to the Buck Owens version, or the Beatles version? Lol! I love that song! I also don’t like elastic hems. I am bigger on top than on the bottom, and any type of blouson top just makes me look bigger. I need to look slimmer…..?

I like the color combo and the floral is pretty. I’m with you in that I rarely do floral anything. It can seem juvenile if you are the more mature. However.. the colors in the top blend well with the pants so it really looks like spring.
Kathy, I don’t like tiny prints so I think that I am going to be on the lookout for some larger floral prints.
