50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LINEN BLAZER FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I had a wonderful weekend in Tennessee. I don’t think that I have visited Tennesse since Christmas, so it was good to see everyone. The grandbabies are growing like weeds, and Koda the Newfoundland is a giant now. I went to visit him on Friday, and he came running to the car to greet me. After his greeting, I had to go and wash off. Lol! It has been raining that day, and he had been digging in the dirt, and probably rolling in it also. I had mud all over my jeans, my shirt, and I smelled like a wet dog. Once we dried him off with some towels, he got to come into the house and visit. 50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LINEN BLAZER FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40Can you believe that Koda is only six months old? He wanted to wrestle, and I was more than happy to play with him. I figured that I already smelled like a dog, so I might as well play like one too.
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LINEN BLAZER FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40Yesterday after church, I went and visited with my grandfather for a while. My grandfather is 101, and still in good shape. He has a great mind on him, and I love to hear him tell stories of his youth. Our older generation is much more informative than using Google. It is entertaining when he talks about my father being a rowdy boy. You never think of your parents as being young and mischievous or getting into trouble. Lol! According to grandpa, my dad got in a lot of trouble. Hahaha!
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LINEN BLAZER FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I bought this striped long sleeve blazer the other day. When I ordered it, I was not sure if I would like the blazer. But, I was shocked at how beautiful this jacket was when I opened the package. The linen blend material is nice and heavy like I would expect from an expensive store. The notched lapels give this blazer a classic look that I will be able to wear with jeans and a t-shirt, dresses, pants, or even shorts. I mentioned that this blazer was everything that you would expect from an expensive store except for the price. This is under 35.00! Here is the link.
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LINEN BLAZER FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40The black wooden circle earrings are the Meadow earrings. These are very lightweight and have a 3″ drop. I added a couple of my bling bracelets and a crystal drop necklace to my outfit. The crystal necklace has been discontinued, but the Opal and the Ezra bracelets are still available. For all of my Canadian readers, you will be thrilled to hear that you can now click on the Canadian website and order Plunder jewelry!!!
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LINEN BLAZER FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40The Berkley Platform wedge shoes by Michael Kors are going to be my go-to shoes this spring and summer. I love the espadrille sole and the light linen color of the shoes. They are such a pretty neutral, and they will go with almost anything. These shoes are incredibly comfortable, and the gold zippered t-strap is very stylish. Here is the link.
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LINEN BLAZER FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I ordered the light blue pants to match the thin blue stripe in the blazer. I was impressed with these pants. I loved the fit and the style of these pants. The high rise style is something that I am still trying to get used to. I am wearing a size ten which is my usual size. These are an ankle length style, and they are perfect for wearing with heels, platform shoes, or even flats. The pants are machine washable and line dry. Here is the link to the pants.

I love the blazer! It will go with a lot of things. Cute huge dog!!

  2. It is fun to hear about your trip and see the photos too. I live in Florida so I enjoyed hearing about your visit there. My husband and I traveled to Virginia on the auto train and thought it was beautiful. We enjoyed all of the history there and hope to return for more.

Let’s play “what color are Tania’s shoes?” I really thought they were a beautiful shade of lavender until I clicked on the link ?‍♀️ I love them!!

The blue of the stripes matches the blue of your pants. That is a detail that makes my heart sing along with loving the linen and stripe design itself.

    1. I was thrilled that the blue matched the stripe in the blazer perfectly. The thin black stripe makes the black top pop also.

  5. Cute dog. Cute jacket. What size are you wearing? Sorry if I’m missing it but I don’t see it noted. When you indicate your size it saves me trying to figure out what to order because I seem to wear the same size as youk. ?? Thank you.

    1. Sorry, Kathy, I sometimes forget to post what I am wearing. The jacket is a size 12.

      1. Hi Tania, I placed this on Facebook, but I am not sure if you follow the comments there.
I love the jacket and pants. Just ordered them both,. Thank you for helping me find clothes I actually like ??
Do you think this jacket would look good over a black dress or black blouse and skirt?
I would love for you to show one item styled different ways more often, maybe once a week you choose an clothing item and style it with pants and skirts. It would help a lot. Thanks again for your awesome blog.

        1. Gail, it is easier to see the comments on the blog than it is on FaceBook. Sorry that I didn’t see the comment earlier. Yes, I think the jacket would look great with a black dress or skirt.
