Spring Trend to Try: Colored & Printed Pants
If you take a stroll through your local mall or a scroll on your favorite retailer’s website, it’s pretty clear to see that bright colors are everywhere this spring… and that includes this year’s pant choices! I was pleasantly surprised to see so many fun and happy prints, patterns, and colors. Bold pants can feel intimidating to style an outfit around, but I shared some ways to do that in this post. If this spring trend to try of colored and printed pants is something you’d like to experiment with, keep reading to see some of my favorites!
Here are some other posts that will help you get your closet ready for spring and summer!:
Spring Trend to Try: Colored & Printed Pants
1. Wide Leg Pant in Bouquet Linen
I just got these pants, and I couldn’t wait to show them to you. They have a really beautiful all-over floral print and a gorgeous color palette. They are a nice breezy material, paired with an elastic waistband making them such a comfortable and cool option! Pair them with a white top, or choose a coordinating pink, yellow, or green shirt.
2. Belted Wide Leg Crop Pant
These belted wide-leg crop pants from Ann Taylor are in an eye-catching hot pink. The belt helps them look so chic and put together. Plus, wide-leg crops are so popular this year!
3. Relaxed Wide Leg Pants
These affordable drawstring pants from Target’s Knox Rose line are easy to dress up or down depending on where your schedule takes you for the day. They look so comfortable and come in two other prints, including a really fun pink pair.
4. Button Front High Rise Crop
If you aren’t a fan of such bold colors and prints, this pair has a subtle railroad stripe pattern which allows you to dip your toes into the trend. The high-waisted button front is so flattering and helpful for helping to hold you in the tummy region.
5. Printed Wide Leg Pants
These silky wide-leg pants paired with a white blouse and dressy sandals would be stunning. I have a feeling these would be as comfortable as a pair of pajama pants, except you’re allowed to wear these out in public!
6. Ann Taylor Seamed Straight Crop Pant
These seamed straight crop pants from Ann Taylor are perfect for church, work, dinner, and more! You can also grab them in navy if you aren’t a fan of the purple peony hue.
7. Colette Wide Leg Cropped Pant
This cute seashell pattern would be adorable for your next trip to the coast! The reviews recommend sizing down because the material has a lot of stretch.
8. High Waisted Soft Spun Wide Leg Pants
These best-selling pants from Old Navy come in several different prints and colors. I am sharing the black and white zebra print, but try the black geo if you’re looking for a more subtle pattern. They are so comfortable with a partially elasticized waistband making them the perfect summer pant.
9. J. Crew Chino Pant
I always keep a classic pair of chino pants in my closet. They are so versatile and are an easy way to look put together. This pair from J. Crew comes in several classic shades like natural, olive, and honey brown. I am sharing them in this bright “sail blue”, but they also come in a gorgeous lavender called “sweet violet”.

Love the look! I’m on a weight loss journey and these pants can probably last me through Summer.
These bright colors and patterns are so pretty. I have wide-leg colorful pants in my closet, well, 2 pairs, that haven’t seen daylight in 3 years. They are coming out now! Thank you.
Welcome to your brother!
You’re right, Tania, having a Mr. Fix is a blessing. My hubby can fix almost anything. He is very handy to have around. Looks like we married keepers!!
I love all the pants you shared with us. I have the hardest time finding pants to fit my short legs. I am excited about crop season!!
I love printed pants! Just ordered the black and white from Target… will pick up later today!
The TT looks really nice!
I love putting the fun prints on the bottom and I’ve been doing it for awhile now. And every time, without fail, that I go out wearing fun print pants, somebody compliments me on them!
The blue striped pants from Loft are to die for! They just say spring, ordering today!
Love the look and especially the ones from Anthropologie! They make the best pants!
Oh Tania. (lol)
My husband is Me. Fix it Deluxe.
He refuses to hire people because he wants to do everything himself. Yes, he knows how, but it’s a struggle!!
Cute outfits and bright colors are so uplifting.
I own the blue pants from the Loft. they are super comfortable. perfect pants to throw on to go out after a day on the beach. throw on a white tank and pink flip flops. I’m going to order the pink top to dress it up. I’m going to order the Anthropologie pants. Love them!!! Thanks for the post.
I love the look and the beautiful colors, but…I am petite and curvy, so not sure this trend is for me.
I have pj bottoms that look like the wide leg print pants. I don’t think I’d feel comfortable wearing those out of the house.
I like this trend. I bought green crop jeans. I also have bright coral wide leg flowy crops from QVC that I bought 2 years ago. I plan to wear this year since there’s a colored pants trend. I like the longer flowy wide leg too. I have to find the right print. As a side note I see people wearing PJs in public. One of my pet peeves.
I like this spring trend to a degree. If multiple tops can be worn with a pair of bright and bold pants, to create multiple outfits, then I’m all in. Of course the right accessories can make or break the outfit.
I love the look of the blue and white striped pants. That’s as adventurous I feel comfortable with the trend . The other pants are not for me.
The floral ones look like pajamas. Not liking them.
They look great on you! I’m not a fan because I’m 5ft tall and carry my weight in my rear/thighs. It’s not a trend for me, but I’m happy for those who like it😊
I love the wide leg pants and have a couple of the linen pair from old navy but I am barely 5’2” so the are very close to be too long so what do you recommend for those who are shorter- and I don’t wear heels I am a tennis shoe and Birkenstock girl 👧
Thanks so much for always have such great posts!!
Leslie, try a pair of platform sneakers. You still get the look of a tennis shoe, but the platform adds some height.
Love these pants been wearing these for years.
