SOLID COLORS LOOK GREAT WITH PLAID

Gurl’s, I just did something that I may regret later. Ugh! Do any of you have those moments when you think, “what did I just do?” That was how I felt a few minutes ago, but the damage has already been done. Tonight I decided to make homemade pizza. When I say homemade, I mean that I bought all of the ingredients at the store and then assembled it in my kitchen. I didn’t make the crust from scratch, and I didn’t make pizza sauce from scratch, so I guess I should call it semi-homemade pizza. Lol!
Once the pizza was done, I turned the oven off and let it sit in the open oven to cool since Joe and I weren’t hungry yet. In about 20 minutes, Joe went over and got the pizza out of the oven and cut it into slices. He ate about half of his slice when he started commenting on how good it tasted. I said, “give me the rest of your slice.” That was my mistake!!! I knew that Joe had been complaining for a couple of days that he felt like he was getting a cold, but I didn’t think anything about it. But, about 30 minutes after I ate half of his slice, he started complaining of body aches and was chilling. If he is getting the flu, then I am going to have to take care of him and hope and pray that I don’t get it also.
This magenta v-neck pullover sweater was one that I showed you last week in my Loft try-on session. I loved the color of the sweater because I knew that it would look great for the upcoming spring season, and it would still work for the remaining winter season. The sweater is lightweight, so it is not meant for warmth. Instead, this is a great sweater for layering or wearing under a cardigan/blazer. When I bought the sweater, I had in mind to wear it with these plaid pants without a shirt, but it was chilly today, so I added a white button-down.

This sweater does have slightly dropped shoulder seams and ribbing along the cuff and hem. The hem has a slit up the side to keep the sweater from pulling when you sit. I am wearing a medium which is my usual size when ordering from Loft. This sweater is machine washable, and it comes in two other colors. Also, this is on sale for under 18.00, so it is a great deal. Someone commented the other day that they liked this pair of earrings better than any other I have posted. She reasoned that the shape of the earrings flatters your face. I may wear these earrings all the time now. Lol! I have to agree that these have a flattering shape to them, and if you like them also, here is the link. The earrings also come in gold and rose gold. The necklace is also by Kendra Scott, but it was a gift from Rodan + Fields. However, I am not sure, but I think that this necklace here (on final sale) might be the same one.

I am telling you right now…run, don’t walk, and order these loafers by Born. They are on sale for 50% off, and they are under 45.00!!! These are a gorgeous neutral color, they have the unique detail of a braid across the toe, and they are incredibly comfortable. Since they are on sale, I would dare to say that they are perfect. Lol! I am wearing my usual size 9, so they run true to size. Grab your size while they are still available. Here is the link to the loafers.
I bought these pants, especially for this sweater. I knew that the dark pink stripe in the pants would go great with this pullover sweater. These pants will also look great with black, gray, and white, so you should get a lot of wear from them. They run true to size; I am wearing my usual size 10. However, as I was getting ready to link to these pants, I noticed that they are very limited in sizes. Good luck finding your size in the pants. Here is the link to the plaid pants.
Five years ago, I decided to start a blog. I did it without knowing anything about blogging, but I knew that I wanted to help other women who might be struggling with what to wear. I have learned a lot in the past five years, and none of it was easy. But, I have grown in so many areas, and I can say that I am proud of myself for doing something that I didn’t know I could do. I turned my “I can’t, into I can.”

Someone commented to me that they were too old, they were 55. I had to laugh at that comment because that was the age that I was when I started the blog, and at 56 I joined two online companies. She was letting her mindset hold her back, and chose to live in the “I can’t world.” I know that most of you will read this and say, “I am not like you, I really can’t.” I am not just talking about the RF opportunity, I am talking about life. YOU CAN! Don’t ever tell yourself that you can’t!
