50 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 40Hello from Hotlanta!!! Thankfully, it is not humid and hot, yet here in Atlanta, so my hair is under control. Lol! Isn’t it funny how us women worry if our hair is looking frizzy or not?  I arrived yesterday afternoon after a long and very wet drive from Virginia. Poor Energizer Bunny had to do all the driving for Miss Daisy while I worked on the blog. Hahaha!
50 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 40I’ll show you some pictures from the weekend next week, but I, for now, I have to share with all of you a sweet story about Emersyn. Emersyn knows that I am always on the road, but she has no idea why, or where I am going. She recently got to go to Disney last weekend and had a blast. Her mother was talking to her about all of the fun that she had, and then asked what she thought about her vacation. She told her mom this, “I am so glad that I finally got to go on one of the vacations like NeeNee gets to go on all the time.” Lol! She is such a smart girl; she can see that even though I am “working,” I am having so much fun that it looks like a vacation. Haha!
50 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 40This black and silver metallic polka dot sweater is another new sweater (see yesterdays)  that I just got last week. And, once again, it is already sold out. Ugh! I know that you ladies hate seeing that, and I hate seeing it also. I am trying to do better about showing you items that you can order online, but the stores much only stock a limited number of items. I wanted to show you a way to extend your clothing items for more than one season. By adding a simple button-up shirt under the sweater, I am now able to wear it when the weather is cooler. This is such a simple trick, and even though I know some people don’t care for the look of a shirt under a 3/4 length sweater, I personally like the look.

50 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 4050 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 40How do you like my silver hammered earrings? These are the Myra earrings, and they are only $11.00! Wow, you can’t beat that price. The Janalee necklace is my go-to necklace when I want to wear something in the silver line. I love the white and gray marbled look, and I also really like this length for wearing with sweaters.
50 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 40I added a pop-of-color with my yellow espadrilles from Michail Kors. I highly recommend buying at least one pair of shoes that you can wear to add some pizazz to your outfit.

50 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 40Instead of wearing my flared jeans like I wore yesterday, I chose the Rockstar skinny jeans from Old Navy. This pair has a high waist style just like yesterday’s jeans, but the legs are much tighter. So, let’s have a poll…which pair do you like best? Which pair do you think is the most flattering?
50 IS NOT OLD | SATURDAY STYLE IS SWEATER AND SKINNY JEANS | FASHION OVER 40If the idea of having fun, meeting new friends, traveling, earning free gifts, and having residual income sounds like something that you would like for your own life, then it is time to have a conversation. What if spending 15 minutes on the phone with me could really make a difference in your life? I talked to a lady last Thursday about joining me in the business, and she asked me, “what is the downside to joining?” I honestly could tell her that there was NO downside. She joined me in the business!!!

I think the skinny jeans flatter you more than the bootcut. My build is the opposite. I look better, & feel better in a bootcut flared jean. I loved both your sweaters. You can’t go wrong with a cable knit. Enjoy your trip!

That pop of yellow is genius, Tania! I love both styles of jeans on you. I am so happy that jeans with a higher waist are available again – the low-waisted jeans are so uncomfortable and I find myself constantly “tugging” on them. Have fun in Atlanta!

    • Love the jumper and the rockstar pants. Need your advice on packing as we travel to Atlanta, Savannah, Memphis , Nashville and New Orleans for 2 weeks in just 4 weeks time. I have absolutely no idea what to pack for all the sightseeing and coach travel we will be making.
      Love Jill x

Skinny jeans gets my vote. Atlanta is where I have family and grew up. Makes me a little homesick. The sweaters are great transitional piece. I like following you because you mix it up with your clothes. Have fun weekend!

Cute sweater! Sooo will skinny jeans be gone with the new trend of flare/bootcut jeans?

I’m a little partial to the bootcut jeans and like them with shorter tops and like skinny jeans with longer tops. I love the idea of adding a splash of color to your shoes so I may have to do that this spring since I usually wear a neutral sandal during the warmer months.

I like the skinny jeans. I am so short I get lost in a flare. I would have to wear heels.
You are tall enough to look good in both, plus you like heels.
    Safe travels!

I like both skinny and bootcut jeans. You look great in both styles. I’m going to have to try the blouse under the sweater look. It’s super cute.
