RELAXED AND CASUAL – HIT OR MISS
Well, I made it to Atlanta, and at 8:00 am, my sister and I will be at Nordstrom to shop the sale. It will be comical since my sister is not a huge shopper. She and my mother try very hard never to go shopping with me because they know I’ll be there most of the day.
Last year, I think we left the sale around 2 pm, and we were both exhausted. The funny thing is that my sister bought a ton of clothing, and my brother-in-law threatened not to let me come back this year. Hahaha! I like to buy myself one investment piece that I will keep for years, so I look for a nice handbag, jewelry, or a pair of sunglasses. I try to pick out something that isn’t fashion since that can go out of style, and I’ve wasted my money. Here are a couple of items that I’m considering.
Honestly, I’m not wowed by anything this year, but I might change my mind once I see the items in person. Which do you think would be a great investment piece that I could keep for years?
Since I’m off to shop the Nordstrom sale, I thought it was appropriate to have on something I’ve bought from there. This Navy Floral Split-Neck Shirt by Caslon (a brand I like shopping at Nordstrom) is stylish and comfortable. You will hear me repeat that term a lot since that is what I look for in my clothing. I love the navy floral print and the lightweight fabric, which isn’t see-through. I’m wearing a medium, and the relaxed fit is roomy but not baggy.
Here is a photo that shows you the length of the shirt. It is long, so you could wear it easily with leggings or jeggings if you wanted.
I could have worn jewelry that would stand out from the blouse, but instead, I chose to wear blue jewelry to blend in.

I love these jeans, but I mistakenly ordered the Curvy Girlfriend Jeans when I should have ordered the regular Girlfriend Jeans. I thought the jeans would not be baggy since I was ordering a size 8, but I was wrong. A relaxed fit is great, but these are too baggy on me, and they border on looking sloppy. This is the pair I meant to order, and since they are on sale, I’m placing my order today.
I have resisted the toe ring sandals, but when researching the Foot Issues post, I decided to order these Cole Haan Slides, and I’m glad I did. These are surprisingly comfortable, and the toe ring helps hold them on your foot. I don’t like some slides since they can go flying across the room when you walk. Lol! These are on sale, 40% off, and I’m going to order the Ivory color, which is 50% off. I always have trouble finding white/ivory sandals that I like for summer, and I think these will be perfect.
Gurl’s wish me luck since I’ll be heading into the heart of Atlanta. I’m a country gurl, and Atlanta traffic is not friendly to us bumpkins. Lol! Stayed tuned for my post tomorrow; I hope to get a few of my finds on Thursday’s This or That post.

Hi Tania! You always look so stylish and beautiful!
I love this outfit! I am an Atlanta native that drove 32 miles one way to work in downtown ATL, across from GA Tech for 32 years, so I totally get your remarks. Now that I have been living in the country for 5 years, I avoid all interstates at all possible costs. Hopefully, y’all did not have any traffic issues and are having a lot of fun!
Love the purse and bracelet. I’d get the purse as I have enough nice bracelets!
I’d choose the bracelet! The outfit is a hit!
ENJOY the ATL! You’re in my old stomping ground!
It’s a HIT for me. Also, looks great on you.
❤️❤️❤️ your outfit! Fits my style perfectly. You must have pulled the ties on the blouse inside instead of having them detract from the necklace. The jewelry elevates the look.
My vote is bracelet,,it is gorgeous. I may have to order it for myself. You can “stack” it with a watch or other bracelets. Love the watch as well,,,BUT,,,I think I’ve seen you with a smart watch,,would you get your wear per investment on this watch that you are looking at. I have a Rolex that I only wear on special occasions since I have a Smart Watch. Which my Rolex was definitely a good investment but now just sits in its case in the safe. The purse is cute but not what I would call an investment pc. And I am hard on sunglasses or would loose them.
I love the outfit and enjoy the shopping trip. You’re always an inspiration.
Definitely a HIT!
I would chose the bracelet, if I were going to splurge. Not many people wear watches since they have some sort of fitness tracker now. I’m not a purse person and I wear prescription glasses, so I don’t wear cute sunglasses. I always like jewelry!!!
I’m with you. COMFY and stylish. I love your outfit. I’d say get the watch. All those investment pieces are lovely. I guess I say that because I’m shopping for a watch.
I love this outfit. It’s so cute and casual but still looks comfy and put together. I never get excited about the Nordstrom sale and don’t understand why everyone makes such a big deal out of it. Seems like the same old stuff year after year. Plus I’m not one of the higher tier card holders so I’m the last group to shop before it opens to the general public. Even if there is something I like, it’s sold out before I can get it.
