Quince Finds for Women Over 50 That Look Expensive and Wear Easily

Gurls, if you haven’t shopped Quince yet, it is one of those brands that is worth having on your radar. Quince has quickly become one of my favorite places to find elevated pieces that look more expensive than they actually are. Their clothing, handbags, shoes, and jewelry have that polished, quiet luxury look, but without the designer-level price tags.

Now, let me say this before we go any further. Just because something looks simple or expensive does not automatically mean it is worth buying. I’m not interested in filling my closet with “pretty” pieces that only work one way or look good online but do nothing for me in real life.

When I’m looking at Quince finds for women over 50, I’m thinking about fit, fabric, comfort, versatility, and how often a piece can realistically be worn. A sweater needs to skim without clinging. Jeans need to feel current without making you feel like you borrowed them from your granddaughter. A handbag needs to elevate an outfit without weighing down your shoulder like a sack of mulch. Been there, carried that.

What I love most about Quince is that many of their pieces feel timeless instead of trendy. These are the kinds of finds you can wear for years, and they mix beautifully with items you already own. Here are some of my favorite Quince finds right now, including a few outfits I’ve styled and some accessories I think are worth a look.

Why Quince Works Well for Women Over 50

Quince has that classic, understated look that I think many of us are drawn to at this stage. The pieces are not loud, overly trendy, or hard to style. They are simple in a good way, which means they can make the rest of your closet work harder.

That matters because most of us don’t need more clothes just for the sake of having more clothes. We need better pieces. We need jeans that fit, sweaters that feel good, dresses that don’t cling in the wrong places, shoes that look polished, and handbags that make a basic outfit look intentional.

That is where Quince does a nice job. Their best pieces have that elevated basic feel, but they still fit into real life. I can wear them with jeans, pants, dresses, and accessories I already own, which helps me get the most out of my money.

Quince Handbags That Make Outfits Look More Polished

Quince has been doing a great job with handbags, especially if you love woven leather, structured shapes, and pieces that have that expensive European look. A good handbag can completely change an outfit. You can wear a simple tee and jeans, add a polished leather bag, and suddenly the whole look feels more finished.

That is one of my favorite style tricks for women over 50. You don’t always need a whole new outfit. Sometimes, the right handbag, belt, shoes, or jewelry is what makes your outfit look current.

Italian Handwoven Leather Mini Shoulder Bag

Italian Handwoven Leather Mini Shoulder Bag

This Italian Handwoven Leather Mini Shoulder Bag is one of my favorite Quince handbag finds because it looks polished, but it is still practical enough for everyday use. The woven leather gives it texture, and that texture makes it look much more expensive than a plain bag.

I like a smaller shoulder bag when I don’t need to carry everything I own. Years ago, when I worked at our hardware store, I carried such a heavy tote that the guys would put it in the nail bin to see how much it weighed. I wish I were kidding. At this stage, I want bags that look good without making my shoulder file a formal complaint.

Italian Leather Handwoven Sling Bag

If you like more hands-free styles, this Italian Leather Handwoven Sling Bag is a great option. Sling bags are everywhere right now, but some of them look too sporty for my style. This one feels more polished because of the leather and woven detail.

This is the kind of bag I would use for travel, errands, sightseeing, or any day when I want both hands free. It gives you the convenience of a casual bag without looking like you borrowed something from your grandson. Lol!

For women over 50, I think the key with sling bags is choosing one that looks intentional. Leather, texture, and a clean shape make all the difference.

Italian Leather Handwoven Shoulder Bag

The Italian Leather Handwoven Shoulder Bag is another pretty option, especially if you like a classic black bag. A woven black bag can instantly make an outfit look more sophisticated.

Black handbags can sometimes feel heavy in the summer, but the woven texture helps lighten the look. I would pair this with white jeans, a cotton dress, navy pants, or even a simple black and tan outfit.

This is a good example of a trend that still feels wearable. Woven bags are very popular right now, but woven leather itself has been around forever. That is the kind of trend I like because it doesn’t feel like it has an expiration date stamped on it.

Italian Suede Small Shoulder Bag

This Italian Suede Small Shoulder Bag has a softer, more relaxed look. Suede adds texture to an outfit, and the warm whiskey color is beautiful because it works almost like a neutral.

I like this color with denim, ivory, olive, navy, camel, chocolate brown, and black. It is a nice option if you already have several basic handbags and want something that adds warmth without being bright or flashy.

Suede does require a little more care, so I would not pick this as my rough-and-tumble everyday bag. But if you want a pretty handbag that makes simple outfits feel richer, this one is worth a look.

Italian Leather Handwoven Satchel

The Italian Leather Handwoven Satchel is the one I would consider if you like a more structured bag or need to carry a little more during the day. A satchel always makes an outfit look more polished because it has shape and presence.

This would be a great work bag, church bag, lunch bag, or everyday bag if you prefer something larger than a mini shoulder bag. The woven leather keeps it from looking too plain, and the structure makes it feel refined.

Accessories can do a lot of heavy lifting in an outfit. A structured leather bag can make a basic cotton shirt and pants look intentional, and that is exactly what I want from a good handbag.

Easy Quince Outfits for Women Over 50

Quince also does a nice job with clothing that feels comfortable but still looks elevated. I’m drawn to their soft sweaters, easy jeans, relaxed pants, gauze dresses, and natural fabrics because they work for real life.

After 50, comfort matters, but I don’t believe comfort has to mean sloppy. The best pieces are the ones that feel good on your body and still help you look put together.

Striped Sweater Vest With Relaxed Straight Jeans

Striped V-Neck 2-in-1 Sweater Vest (Size 1) | Luna Stretch Relaxed Straight Jeans (Size 29) | Alora European Leather Belt (Large) | Italian Leather Trapeze Tote | Long Tall Cross Necklace | Knot Earrings

The Striped V-Neck 2-in-1 Sweater Vest gives you the layered look without having to actually layer two pieces. That is a blessing in warmer weather because nobody wants to be sweating for the sake of fashion. We have suffered enough in the name of waistbands and bad shoes.

The V-neckline is also flattering because it opens up the neckline and draws the eye vertically. That is one reason I reach for V-necks so often. They help the outfit feel lighter and more flattering around the face and chest.

The Luna Stretch Relaxed Straight Jeans are a great “gateway” pair if straight-leg jeans make you nervous. They are relaxed without crossing into wide-leg territory, and they skim the leg instead of grabbing. I’m wearing a size 29, and I like that they feel structured but not stiff.

The Alora European Leather Belt helps finish the outfit and gives the jeans a more intentional look. A belt can be one of the easiest ways to make jeans and a simple top look styled instead of thrown together.

The Italian Leather Trapeze ToteLong Tall Cross Necklace, and Knot Earrings finish the outfit without making it look busy. This is an easy, casual outfit that still feels polished.

Cashmere Sweater and Linen Blazer With Relaxed Straight Jeans

Tania Stephens, Over 50 Fashion Blogger, wearing a powder blue sweater, navy blazer, and wide leg jeans from Quince
Mongolian Cashmere Boatneck Sweater (Medium) | 100% European Linen Structured Blazer (Medium) | Bella Stretch Relaxed Straight Jeans (Size 29) Italian Leather Pointed Bow Flat (TTS)

This outfit is a good example of how to look pulled together without looking overdressed. The Mongolian Cashmere Boatneck Sweater gives softness, and the 100% European Linen Structured Blazer adds shape.

That combination works beautifully for women over 50 because the sweater keeps the outfit comfortable, while the blazer gives it structure. Structure is important. A blazer can define your shoulders, sharpen the outfit, and make jeans look more polished.

The Bella Stretch Relaxed Straight Jeans hit that nice balance of not too tight and not too baggy. I’m wearing a size 29, and the medium wash is highly versatile. These are the kind of jeans you can wear with sneakers, flats, loafers, or sandals.

The Italian Leather Pointed Bow Flats are a smart finishing piece because pointed-toe flats make outfits look more refined. They are also a nice option when you want comfort but don’t want to wear sneakers.

This outfit would be great for lunch, casual workdays, church, travel, or any day when you want to look nice but still feel comfortable.

Lightweight Cotton Cashmere Dolman Sweater

Elevated Casual Wardrobe from Quince and others14
Lightweight Cotton Cashmere Link-Stitch Dolman Sweater | Italian Leather Triple Compartment Crossbody

This sweater is the piece that made me realize Quince was doing something right. It is lightweight but cozy, relaxed without looking sloppy, and the dolman shape gives you room without clinging.

That is the kind of fit I appreciate. After 50, I don’t want everything tight against my body, but I also don’t want to look like I’m wearing a potato sack. This sweater gives ease without losing shape.

This is the sweater I reach for on days when I want to feel comfortable but still look somewhat pulled together. Joe has complimented this one more than once, which always makes me laugh since he never knows where my clothes come from. If Joe notices, you know it has something going for it.

The Italian Leather Triple Compartment Crossbody is a practical pairing because it gives the outfit structure and keeps everything hands-free. I like crossbody bags because they are useful, but this one still looks polished enough to wear with a nicer casual outfit.

Cashmere Cardigan With Kick Flare Pants

Over 50 Fashion Blogger, Tania Stephens is wearing the SPANX Perfect Pant Cropped Kick Flare
Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan Sweater (Large) | Perfect Pant Kick Flares (large) | Italian Leather Triple Compartment Crossbody | Large Hoop Earrings

A good cardigan is worth its weight in gold, and this Cashmere one earns its place. It is soft against the skin, easy to throw on, and it works well worn alone or layered over tees, tanks, or blouses.

I’m wearing a large size, and I like the easy fit. A cardigan should not pull across the buttons or cling through the middle. I want it to skim and layer comfortably.

The Perfect Pant Kick Flares are a nice alternative to jeans when you want something comfortable but a little more polished. The kick flare shape works well because it gives the outfit a modern line without feeling extreme.

This is the kind of outfit I would wear when I want to look nice but still feel relaxed. It would be great for travel, errands, casual meetings, or dinner. The Italian Leather Triple Compartment Crossbody keeps it practical, and the Large Hoop Earrings add just enough shine to make the outfit feel finished.

Organic Cotton Gauze Sleeveless Swing Dress

Woman over 50 wearing a blue organic cotton gauze sleeveless swing dress with nude heeled sandals and a raffia clutch.
Organic Cotton Gauze Sleeveless Swing Dress (Medium) | Lani Raffia Clutch | Majorca Strappy Heeled Sandal (TTS)

This 100% Organic Cotton Gauze Sleeveless Swing Dress is exactly the kind of summer dress I reach for when it is hot outside. Gauze is lightweight and breathable, and the swing shape gives you room without clinging to the stomach or hips.

That is one reason this style works so well for women over 50. It doesn’t require shapewear, tugging, or constant adjusting. You put it on, add sandals and a cute bag, and you’re dressed.

I’m wearing a medium, and I like the easy fit. The shape is relaxed, so I would keep the accessories polished to balance it out. The Lani Raffia Clutch gives the outfit a summery texture, and the Majorca Strappy Heeled Sandal makes it feel a little dressier without going overboard.

This is the kind of dress I would wear to lunch, vacation, church, a casual dinner, or even a summer get-together. It is simple, but simply done well is usually what looks the most expensive.

Quince Shoes That Look Polished But Still Feel Wearable

Shoes can make or break an outfit, especially after 50. I want shoes that look current, but I’m not interested in hobbling across a parking lot pretending everything is fine. My days of suffering for cute shoes are few and far between.

Quince has several shoe options that look polished without being too fussy.

Italian Leather Ankle Strap Flat Sandals

I can already picture this dress paired with these Italian Leather Ankle Strap Flat Sandals for a casual look. Flat sandals are a summer essential for me, but I still want them to look polished.

The clean leather straps make these feel more refined than a basic flip-flop, and they would work with dresses, skirts, shorts, and ankle pants. When I’m choosing flat sandals after 50, I look for a style that keeps the outfit looking neat. Too flimsy, and the whole outfit can start to look too casual.

These are simple enough to pair with almost everything, which makes them practical.

Italian Leather 35mm Wood Block Heel Mules

The Italian Leather 35mm Wood Block Heel Mules are a nice option if you want a little height without committing to a high heel. A lower block heel is much easier to walk in, and it gives an outfit a dressier feel.

I like mules with cropped jeans, ankle pants, skirts, and casual dresses. They are especially helpful when an outfit feels almost finished but needs a little lift.

That said, mules are not always my pick for a long walking day. For me, they are more of a lunch, church, dinner, or event shoe. They are great when you want polish, but I would still grab a more supportive sandal if I planned to be on my feet for hours.

Italian Leather Pointed Bow Flats

I also think these Women’s Leather Pointy Flats are beautiful if you like a more refined flat. A pointed toe can make a big difference because it visually lengthens the leg and makes an outfit look more polished.

These are a great alternative when you want comfort but don’t want to wear sneakers. I would wear them with ankle pants, straight-leg jeans, cropped jeans, dresses, and skirts.

The bow detail gives them a feminine touch, but the shape keeps them from looking too sweet. That is the balance I like. Pretty, but still grown-up.

Quince Jewelry That Works With Everything

One thing Quince does well is simple jewelry that can be worn with almost anything. I don’t need jewelry that takes over the whole outfit. I usually want pieces that finish the look and make it feel intentional.

That is especially true with casual outfits. A plain tee, cotton shirt, or summer dress can look a lot more polished with the right earrings or necklace.

14mm Gold Hoop Earrings

These 14mm Gold Hoop Earrings are a classic staple. Every woman needs a good pair of gold hoops because they work with everything from jeans to dresses.

This size is especially wearable because it gives you enough presence without feeling too large or heavy. I like hoops when I want to look finished but don’t want to think too hard about accessories. That happens more often than I care to admit.

Gold hoops are one of those small details that can make even a simple outfit feel styled. They are not exciting in a flashy way, but they are useful, and useful pieces are what build a great closet.

What I’d Buy First From Quince

If you are new to Quince and don’t know where to start, I would begin with the pieces that give you the most outfit mileage.

A woven leather handbag would be high on my list because it can make clothes you already own look more elevated. I would also look at the relaxed straight jeans if you want denim that feels current but not overwhelming. The cotton cashmere dolman sweater is another strong pick because it is comfortable, flattering, and easy to wear.

The key is not to buy everything just because it looks pretty. Pick the pieces that fill a real gap in your closet. That is how you build a wardrobe that works instead of a closet full of “almost.”

Final Thoughts On These Quince Finds for Women Over 50

I love finding pieces that look expensive, feel timeless, and actually fit into real everyday life. That is why I keep coming back to Quince. Their best pieces are polished without being fussy, comfortable without looking sloppy, and classic enough to wear for more than one season.

For women over 50, that is the sweet spot. We want clothes and accessories that help us look current, but we don’t want to chase every trend that comes along. I want pieces that make getting dressed easier, not pieces that require a committee meeting in front of the mirror.
