Are you gurls ready to kick some dust and dance away at a country music concert? Whether you’re an old pro at this or getting geared up for your first big show, one of the best ways to ensure a great time is with the perfect concert outfit. I’ve gathered every source of inspiration necessary to make you look fabulous yet feel comfy during a night out listening to your favorite music, from classic cowboy vibes to cute, laid-back looks. So get that hat and those boots on, and let’s check out some great country music concert outfit ideas!

Outfits for Country Music Concerts

#1 Denim Dress

Denim Dress | Sunglasses | Fringe Purse | Slouchy Cowboy Boots | Pearl Earrings | Necklace Set

We’re starting off strong with an adorable outfit created around a denim dress. If you need denim dress recommendations, I have an entire post full of them right here. I paired them with these adorable slouchy pink cowboy boots and a matching fringe bag, but you could wear anything from sandals to white sneakers! I thought this classic look was just yelling for some classy pearls, so I added these fun pearl hoops and a layered gold necklace set.

#2 Denim Jeans, Shorts, or Skirt with a Graphic Tee

Howdy Tee | Clear Stadium Bag | Bangles | Cowboy Boot | Denim Skirt | Pink Earring

I absolutely love graphic tees for concerts. It’s even better if you’ve seen the band or artist before and have a shirt from their merch table, but if you don’t, there are so many cute options out there. I have a bunch of fun tee shirts over in this post! I thought this Howdy tee was so adorable, especially paired with a pink statement earring. I have it tied over a denim skirt, but you could wear it with jeans, shorts, etc.

A lot of stadiums and concert venues request you have a clear bag for security reasons so I wanted to include a few of those in today’s post. I finished off the look with these knee high cowboy boots, but like the denim dress, you could wear this outfit with any number of other footwear options if you need to stay comfy… A Birkenstock style sandal would even work!

#3 Jeans and Blouse

Peasant Blouse | Flare Jean | Cowboy Hat | Belt | Hoop Earring | Howdy Necklace | Bootie

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a blouse and jeans combo, in my opinion. For a country concert, I would look for a looser peasant style blouse or tank top. You could also go with a plaid shirt for those classic country vibes. For jeans, you could wear any style, but my mind goes straight to flare jeans and bell bottoms!

I know it seems silly to some to buy a pair of shoes for a single concert, so consider shopping for a western bootie. You can get the look and feel of a cowboy boot but with a style you are more likely to wear again and again this fall and winter! This one has a little bit of a heel, so if you are going to be standing up in the pit section, you might want to look for a flatter boot like this one. You gurls know I love accessories and this howdy necklace from Kendra Scott is the cherry on top, especially paired with the belt buckle and cowboy hat!

#4 Denim Jacket and Maxi Dress

Maxi Dress | Fringe Bag | Cowboy Bootie | Pearl Jacket | Earrings | Necklace Set

This maxi dress look might be my favorite! Have you ever been to a concert at the Ryman or the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville? I think this outfit would be stunning for a date night anywhere you go, but imagine going to a nice dinner and then seeing a concert in a historic venue like that!

If your concert takes place in the summer, you might want to forego the denim jacket, but it would be a great layer to keep you warm in the cooler months of the year. Plus, the pearl embellishments are the actual cutest! I’m also obsessed with the fringe detail on the handbag, and it matches perfectly with the white cowboy bootie.

#5 Sneakers and Baseball Hat

Hat | Clear Stadium Belt Bag | Sneaker | Necklace Set | Hoop Earring | Denim Shirt/Jacket

I had a music festival in mind when I put this concert outfit together! If you’re going to be spending the day outdoors at a country music festival like the CMA fest, you’re going to want to be comfortable. These tennis shoes are both cute AND comfy, and this clear bag makes sure your phone and money are safe and secure close to your body. I thought this Let’s Go Girls hat was so fun and perfect for keeping the sun out of your face. This would also be a great outfit to wear to watch an outdoor concert at an amphitheater!

#6 Dress and Sandals

Dress | Turquoise Belt | Turquoise Earrings | Wedge Sandal | Straw Cowboy Hat | Rattan Bag

Last but not least, I wanted to include a shorter dress option! I know not all of you gurls love maxi dresses… especially my petite readers. Here’s a great look with sandals that prove you don’t need to own cowboy boots to fit in at a country concert.

I did add a straw hat, but this is an affordable one that you can re-wear at the beach or the pool. I thought this western style belt was a great way to achieve a country/western vibe, especially when you add the turquoise earrings. This bag has just enough room to hold your essentials like your phone, keys, credit cards, and lip gloss, and it adds so much texture and warmth to this look.

  5. Back in the day, my late husband and I went to a lot of country music shows and I had a denim dress with rhinestones that I wore to the majority of them. Cowboy boots and turquoise jewelry and I was set!!

  6. dresses are really everywhere this summer. i wonder how hot those really long ones are. They look hot to me. The shorter ones are too short – i will look for a happy medium.

  7. Love country music, love a good concert even more!
Great choices you offered. Those tall white boots are super popular right now.
I am too short for them. I personally love a cute dress or jeans.
Never forget a pair of Daisy Duke shorts, see those at all the concerts!

  8. Oh tell your sweet granddaughter to slow down. They grow up too fast. She’s adorable.

  9. Loved the Short black dress and the different denim pieces

I absolutely love all of your country concert outfit choices!!! I might try a pair of the slouchy western boots you have suggested here for “kicking it up a notch” when attending events at our local fairgrounds, fundraisers, and music concerts, etc. Thank you for the awesome inspiration outfits!
PS, your granddaughter is absolutely beautiful! She looks like a real sweetie!

  11. I’m all about some country music! Fun post!

    I love denim.

  14. Linda White says:

My granddaughter who is now 21, wanted those kind of presents at 11 for sure. She watched U Tube and studied how to apply makeup. She now is gorgeous and puts her makeup on beautifully. I miss my little 11 year old but so happy she is thriving. Thank you Lord

  15. Ginger Hiller says:

Your mini me looks just like you in that picture. Boy, you hit it out of the park with your outfit options for country concerts! There are several items that I really like and want.

  16. Stella Gustafson says:

Love the look. I live in a small rural town and come fair time this is our standard dress

  17. One of the saddest days of my life was the day I stopped playing with Barbies! I was a big doll-player. I was sitting on my back porch playing and I got this big sick feeling and I ran to the bathroom. I had gotten my period for the first time! When I got all cleaned up I went out to the porch and put my Barbies away. I said to myself at 11 “I can’t play with dolls anymore cuz I’m a LADY.” So sad. Was happy when I had my daughters but they weren’t doll players.

  18. Some cute items. I wonder why my comment yesterday didn’t appear? I commented I saw your picture on a YouTube video. You were wearing the white dress with black trim and hat.

  19. Lori Gorenflo says:

I love all the ideas for a concert. Denim dresses are my favorites.

  20. I haven’t been to a concert in a long time but love all the outfits you shared today. Do you think a 77 year old is too old for her first pair of cowboy boots??!!

    1. Goodness, no! It is the perfect time to grab a pair. I’m doing a post on them tomorrow, be sure to watch for it.

  21. I lived on a farm at that age so no fancy clothes, makeup or jewelry. Wouldn’t it be fun to have a journal from back then. My grandma didn’t run a fashion blog either 😉

    1. Lol! I told her she needed to come raid my jewelry chest. I have a lot of shorter necklaces that would fit her perfectly.

  22. love these dresses. especially the black dress with the jean jacket.

  23. Cute, cute stuff! Love all the outfits!

  24. Linda from Ontario, Canada says:

Tania i forgot to mention a shopper at VV told me my dress was way too short to wear to Church. Thanks again.

    1. Linda, that means it is too short for HER. Some people aren’t comfortable showing their legs, but that is their comfort level, not yours. Wear what makes you happy, and tell that lady to do the same,

  25. My eleven year ol granddaughter also wants Kendra Scott jewelry and Sephora gift cards! They sure grow up fast these days! Love your concert outfits.

  26. Thank you for all the great choices! I love the denim dress from Amazon. I’ve been looking for a dress like this.

  27. Kay Weaver says:

Mini you! What do you expect 😂
She is cute and a sweetheart. Enjoy the time you have together.

    1. Lol! I guess you are right.

  28. I needed this last week before I went to see George Strait! The concert was fantastic and I did wear a top from your blog! Next time I’ll add one of your straw hats!

  29. Love boots!!! And country music! Thanks for the ideas.

  30. Tania, love western wear but I am from Texas!🤠 You put together a good variety of outfits! Thank you!
My granddaughter just turned 11 also and she acts like going on 16!! She wants the same things your gdaughter wants, boy oh boy!
    Blessings,

    1. Paula, how do they grow up so quickly?

  31. Sorry I should have posted that with the address I subscribed with. Thanks again.

  32. Greetings, I just subscribed recently. I did like the link to the flat boots; but too bad I did not see your ideas here before I gave away my longtime fave grey denim jean-style jacket — it was just a little snug. I am thinking more layering will enable me to wear knee length dress (w. said jacket or something similar) and with mid-calf exercise wear/tights. Anyway thanks. 🙂

    Good morning Tania,
I happen to be in Nashville right now. Going to see Lainy Wilson at the Oprey tomorrow night. I’m going to wear my navy blue ruffled maxi and my vintage Jean jacket. White sneakers. There is a great Western store here at the Gaylord. I will revisit for some ideas. Thanks for perfect timing.

    1. This really is perfect timing for you!!!

  34. Love all these outfits! Most of them I’d wear anywhere, not just to a country concert. I would not wear the white maxi dress unless I was the bride at a beach wedding.
