NAVY AND WHITE FOR A CLASSIC AND CASUAL LOOK

I’ve tried to have a few blog posts done and scheduled before I left for vacation. I am hoping that as you’re reading this I am soaking up the sunshine, with a cold drink in my hand, and listening to the waves rolling in on the shore. Every day will have a small amount of work for me to do, but I won’t be working 24/7 as I do when I am home.

Joe shocked me with the announcement that he wasn’t to go snorkeling while we are in Belize. I’m shocked since we’ve never gone snorkeling before, but I guess there is a first time for everything. When he mentioned going to visit a Mayan Ruin, I said, “who are you, and what did you do to my husband?” Joe has never wanted to do any tour on any of the trips we’ve ever been on. You’ll hear shortly if the Alien Husband took me snorkeling and on a Mayan Ruins tour, or if they returned the real Joe back to me. Lol!

 

This is the cutest top, and I was thrilled to see that they still had inventory for most of the sizes. I love this print, I think it is so fun looking, especially for spring and summer. I read the reviews on sizing, and I saw that people were commenting that the shirt runs small, so I ordered a large. I don’t like button-up shirts to pull open at the buttons, so I thought that sizing up would be a smart move. I feel like the shirt is a little big on me, so that is why I tied it at the waist. I’m keeping the Lightweight Cotton Button-Up Shirt though because I like the tied look. There are several different colors and patterns to choose from, so check them out and see if one calls your name.

Here is the length of the shirt from the back. You can see that it is high on the sides and longer in the front and back.

One of my favorite color combinations is navy and yellow, so I decided to add a pop of sunshine with this Lane Carryall Handbag. I’m finding all kinds of ways to carry this handbag, and I’m glad I decided to order it. The bag is a great medium-sized bag, and it has lots of compartments to store your goodies.

I love the look of these white Flare Crop Jeans with the raw hem. You can get the same style and look with a pair of ankle jeans, pants, or shorts, but the crop flare style is trending, so this keeps you modern-looking. I ordered a size 30 since I don’t like my white jeans to fit too tightly, and these are a smidge loose. I’m thinking about sending them back and ordering a 29 instead to see how those would fit.

I had to laugh when I saw my gold flip-flops. I was trying on clothing to take with me on vacation, and I forgot to change shoes. Lol! These don’t look back, but they aren’t what I would have chosen if I was going somewhere. I would have stayed with a neutral color, but I would have picked wedge espadrille sandals or my Sperry Crest Vibe Sneakers.

Spring is here, but it is still cool in the mornings and afternoons. Adding a lightweight jacket is an easy solution, and I think everyone should have a denim jacket in their closet. This versatile jacket is something that can be worn all year round, and it looks great with casual, dressy, boho, and classic styles.

This denim jacket by Wrangler is lightweight and unlined, and I love the fit and style. The material has plenty of stretch to it, and it doesn’t feel as stiff as some denim jackets that I own. I’m wearing a large, and it fits me great.

The jewelry that I’m wearing is by Kendra Scott. The large statement AVI Hoop Earrings are a pair that I wear a lot. I’m also wearing an 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross necklace and the Adeline Link Necklace. These necklaces are great for filling the void in a v-neck shirt.

I forgot to mention the oversized sunglasses that I am wearing. This is one of the inexpensive pairs that I’m taking to Belize with me. I don’t like to take my expensive sunglasses on vacation
