My Favorite Items From The Talbots Friends And Family Sale
Talbots Friends and Family Sale is now going on, which means great savings on your favorite styles. You get 30% off your entire purchase, including new arrivals! Of course, I already took advantage of this sale, and I can’t wait to show you the new items I just got!
I try to purchase high-end items when I catch them on sale. Cashmere is at the top of my list in fall, and I always try to buy it at a discounted price. I love the softness of the material, and it makes me feel special when I wear it. The Audrey Cashmere Sweater in dark walnut is beautiful! I love this color with my skin tone and hair, and it’s one I’ll wear a lot this fall and winter.
Maybe it is from my childhood, but I love wearing corduroy pants. The swish/swish sound makes me smile, and you’ll find me in corduroy pants a lot in fall and winter. These Stretch Corduroy Flare Leg Pants in dark walnut have the perfect amount of give to be comfortable. They have a slightly flared leg, which is perfect for wearing with ankle boots.
To elevate the outfit and make it dressier, I added this Relaxed 90s Blazer. I love the style of this blazer with the collar and pocket brown trim. The Autumn Check color is a mixture of ginger and brown which looks great with the dark walnut cashmere sweater and corduroy pants. I’m wearing a size 10 in the blazer, but I think it is a little big on me, so I’m going to exchange it for an 8 instead.
Leopard Print Shirt Dress
In case you’ve not heard, leopard print is the print of the season!!! It has exploded back on the scene with a vengeance, and I couldn’t be happier.
This is a beautiful Leopard Tie Waist Shirtdress! It can be dressed up or down, and I would love to style it with a denim jacket and knee boots this fall.
Tunic Pullover and Relaxed Jeans
How about a casual fall outfit? We all need a few go-to outfits for running errands, shopping, or having lunch with friends.
This cable-knit tunic pullover in burgundy is soooo pretty! I love the pattern and style of the top, and the length is perfect for wearing with leggings. I am between a medium and a large in tops, so I sized up to a large, which was a mistake. The medium would have fit me better, and I would have still had plenty of room.
I don’t know about you, but I like to have a couple of pairs of jeans that are a relaxed fit. My husband prefers me in jeans that fit tighter (not surprising), but sometimes I don’t want to feel confined. I love this pair, which is relaxed but not sloppy. I’m wearing my usual size 8.
Did I mention that leopard print is trending this year? Lol! If you don’t like wearing leopard print because it draws too much attention, wear it in your accessories. These Chain Driving Moccasins are so comfortable and will add the perfect amount of pizzazz to your outfit! They run true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 9.

Girl, I was so excited to see the animal print dress. I have always loved those prints and still have shoes in that same print. I never could let them go no matter how hard I tried. Even if I didn’t look like I was styling, I still wore the shoes because I could go casual or dress them up. Now I can be confident knowing that I am styling with the animal print. Thanks for sharing and for your inspiration. As always To God be the Glory! Allison Burrell
Love all the brown outfits. It finally feels like fall in Texas. A cold front blew in this morning. I like Talbot’s because they offer petite sizing.
Saved your chili recipe. Our freezing temps always hit around Halloween.
Thanks for the recipe. I really gotta save it this year. Before it has gotten lost
I am a Talbots lover and shopped there almost exclusively for a long time – I have a question for your gurls: are any of y’all having real trouble either sizing especially in pants/jeans? I have the same pair of pants in three different sizes.🤔🤔. Talbots is so good about exchanges but I used to order an 8 and it always fit but not lately.
Most of the time they fit pretty much the same for me. Sometimes, depending of the rise of the pants, they can be different.
I have that problem with all pants no matter the store. As Tania said the rise also changes the fit/size.
Tania, Thank you for sharing the chili recipe! I have a favorite one too from Williams-Sonoma’s Soup cookbook and I can’t wait to make it in the fall. Looking at your husband’s recipe, the spelling of chili in the plural was catching my eye. It should not have an apostrophe in it! Apostrophes are for either possessive words or words where you are removing the “i” in “is” such as it is = it’s. I can see why you added the apostrophe because the plural form looks weird!!! However, according to Google, “The plural of the word “chili” is “chilies” or “chilis”. The spelling and plural form of the word varies depending on the type of English being used:
American English: The standard spelling is “chili” and the plural is “chilies” or “chilis”.
British English: The standard spelling is “chilli” and the plural is “chillies” or “chilis”. ” Thanks for all of your shopping tips. I use them all the time and have purchased so many items from your blog!
These outfits look great on you!
So happy you did a post on Talbot’s today! I was looking at the website/my catalog yesterday and just couldn’t decide. This helps……..a lot!
I’m glad you enjoyed the post.
Your chili looks delicious! Texas has a cool front so these Talbots outfits make me want to go shopping!
Loving all the leopard print!
