Makeup Monday – Bye Bye Pores
I have been using It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro Powder for over a month now. Try saying that three times fast. Boy, that is a mouth full. I have to say, I really like this powder. I put on my moisturizer, primer, foundation, and concealer then I set my under eyes with this powder. I usually will then apply my eye makeup, then contour and apply blush. After those steps, I then apply the powder over my entire face. The blush seems to stay better if applied before using the powder. I guess that is why it is a setting poser. Duh! Most of the time I use a dabbing motion with my face products. This helps to insure that all the product is in the tiny lines and pores. However, with this product, you sweep it on using a larger brush. The idea is to have an airbrushed effect on your skin, camouflaging those pesky pores. This is according to itcosmetics.com:
Award-winning Bye Bye Pores® Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder is infused with Collagen, Vitamin K and Pure Silk for a perfect, poreless, airbrushed finish. It absorbs oil and shine, and blurs away the look of pores, without settling into lines and wrinkles. It sets makeup and helps to diffuse the appearance of wrinkles and pores instantly.
Developed with leading plastic surgeons, this powder is infused with Hydro Collagen to smooth lines, Pure Silk for a poreless finish, and Vitamin K to help reduce discoloration. It also contains Anti- Aging Antioxidants Vitamins A, C, and E to help ward off free radicals throughout the day. Translucent and colorless – it works on all skin tones. Formulated without Talc, Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Synthetic Fragrance and Phthalates.
Key Benefits:

I have fairly dry skin, so this is from my perspective. This is a loose powder and is translucent. So far, I haven’t noticed any caking. I have read that for some people that was their issue. I however, have not experienced that. I think the key is to use a large fluffy brush and apply in a thin layer. My makeup stays in place and I don’t get shiny or sweaty during the day. However, remember I have dry skin. It is a very fine powder. I can definitely see where it got its name – silk. It just flows over my skin. After you have applied this, your face feels really smooth. You don’t need a great deal of product, you just dab your brush in the product, tap on the side of the container, and apply. It will last a long, long time.
Over all I really like this product and will purchase again when the time comes. I give it a 4.75. I am only deducting a small amount because the packaging is kind of plain. For such a nice product you would think it would come in a snazzier container.
I am new to your blog but I must say that I am over 50, just a little, and want to try IT Cosmetics for sometime… Is it really worth the investment? I mean to get all their products for skin and items like this powder now? I would really LOVE to know, Thank You!
The IT CC Cream is all I ever use. I love it
