MADE IN HIS IMAGE

This is a blog about fashion. It was created to help women who reach a time in their lives when they feel discouraged and invisible. They might have spent their adult lives caring for others and now find themselves with an empty nest and no idea how to take care of themselves. I thought that by helping these women see that they could once again find confidence in their appearance that they would feel better, prettier, and more confident.

I soon realized that helping women feel better about their outside was important but what about the inside? What about the person who had been told they weren’t good enough? What about the woman who had been told that they weren’t loveable? What about the person who was told that they were not pretty? The list could go on and on.

The real truth is that you ARE good enough, you ARE loveable, and you ARE pretty. The problem is not with you the problem is with the person spewing the lies. I am not saying we are perfect but I am saying that the opinion of the Lord is the one that matters and not someone here on earth.

Psalm 139:14 says, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

The Lord made YOU. He breathed life into your soul, He created your body, He knows every hair on your head. Do you think He considers you imperfect? The Lord created the entire universe, the heavens, the stars, and He also created you. We marvel at a beautiful sunset, the power of Niagra Falls, or the breathtaking view of the Grand Canyon. All those things are breathtaking but none of them were made in the Lord image.

Genesis 1:27says, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

I know that society judges us by our outward appearance. The Lord does not. The next time you see a beautiful sunset just remember that the same God who created that sunset also created YOU.

Have A Blessed Day!

Great message! I needed to hear this because I’m feeling like my butt is as wide as a sunrise. I’m sure the Lord cares more about my heart than my hips.
