LIVING MY BEST LIFE
Let me start this post by saying that I am “normally” a very easy going person. It takes a lot to rile my feathers, and I take kidding and ribbing well. In fact, my entire family is on the side of smarty comments, instead of saying something normal. That is our way of playing, and we never get mad at each other. I have to laugh because my mother is afraid to leave comments on my blog, she thinks that you gurls won’t understand our crazy humor. Lol! But, today, I was not in the mood to be poked at….
You know that I have had this stupid cough for going on a month. I recently started taking a steroid pill, and it seems to be working. I am crossing my fingers that I am back to normal soon. But, I might tend to get a little testy when I take steroids, and Joe might have been on the receiving end. He called me today, and I said, “I am going to go get a peach slush while I am out shopping,” and then he said, “you look like you need a peach slushie.” Usually, that would roll right off my back, and I would laugh as I went and got my drink. NOT TODAY! Instead, I hung up on him. Then, later that afternoon, he called and (I have already forgotten what he said) …..but, I hung up on him again. He came to the house and said, “did you just hang up on me twice today?” You could see the laughter behind his eyes. He knows that is out of character for me, and he also knows that I am on steroids. I find it humorous now, but at the time he got an earful. That made him laugh even harder. Lol!
Y’all, I love this shirt! Isn’t it adorable? The best part about this shirt is the fact that it is not mine. My daughter ordered this off of Etsy and accidentally shipped it to my house. Haha! I couldn’t wait to put it on and send her a picture. Then, I liked it so much that I thought you ladies might like to see it also. It is soft and seems to be a good quality shirt. I haven’t worn my oversized Nika earrings in a while. I wanted to wear something in silver and something that would catch your eye. Did these accomplish that? These are very lightweight leather earrings, and they are the same on both sides. My necklace is a custom piece that I made. You can order either bracelets or necklaces, and have them engraved with symbols or letters. I chose the silver bar necklace with fonts, and I love how it turned out. I think these would make great Christmas presents since they are personalized. I also added a large silver link bracelet on an elastic cord. It is the Madijeanne, and here is the link.
Yes, I am wearing white after Labor Day! I saw someone comment on Facebook this morning that they can’t bring themselves to wear white now. They said their mother had preached that to them as a child, and they still couldn’t break the habit. My mother told me that when I was a child also, but she also dressed me in matchy-matchy polyester outfits. Lol!

I had to take them once. I had out bursts of bad temper but they lightened my hair. I swear. My hair looked shinier. Hang in there. Most things are temporary we worry so much about.
I love white jeans and nothing is prettier to me than red chunky sweater, white jeans and a tan purse and boots. My favorite winter outfit.

Well, I guess I am a fashion faux-pas! I don’t wear white shoes after Labor Day, but I will wear my favorite white jeans with a top or sweater in a fall color…browns, olives, burgundy. Cute shirt too! I hope you feel better. Those lingering coughs are the pits!
I guess you are half and half, Gina. I don’t wear white shoes very often, even in the summer. I am not a big fan for some reason.

Cindee, I am wearing Infallible by Loreal in the shade Candy Man. It is chocolate scented, so fair warning. Lol! Then, I applied Huda Angelic Lip Strobe as a gloss in the center.

I can’t seem to find a pair that doesn’t show my underwear line. So I haven’t bought any. But they would be so versatile! Plus now that I have no period anymore ( hallelujah !) I don’t have to worry about that either. White pants are definitely on my try to find list.
When I go shopping for white pants or jeans, I put my hand on the inside to see if I can see my hand through the material. If I can see my hand, the pants stay in the store.
Here in Florida everyone wears white all year round.

The shirt is so darn cute! So is your hair! Is it cut asymmetrically now? Sometimes you have it tucked behind your ear and I can’t tell for sure. It’s darling regardless! I thought you needed to hear another funny story. My sister-in-law had something she needed to return via snail mail. She boxed it up, addressed it, and shipped it off. Several days later, the box showed up at her house! She was confused and then realized that she had inadvertently put her own address as not only the return address, but also as the shipping address! We laughed so hard!!! Tell Joe to be nice to you and cut you some slack right now. 😉
My hair is cut asymmetrical right now. It will show more when I go back for my next cut since I’ll trim the short side, but let the longer side continue to grow. BTW, tell your sister-in-law that she is not the only one who has done that. Just saying…

My mom always said not to wear white shoes after Labor Day and since we never had white skirts, shorts, or pants, it was not an issue. My philosophy is to wear what I want and when.
